That morning, Princess Rei walked into the hospital to begin her shift. She had on her long sleeved, dark violet dress with black trim that went down to her ankles with matching flats. The skirt had a silver rose pattern embroidered onto it. Princess Rei decided to not bother putting her hair up this time, wearing her small golden tiara and some simple amethyst earrings in the shape of small hearts to go with it. The dress's style was of an old Elvish design. Heading towards the desk, she took a look through her schedule which was written on a sky blue scroll in Japanese. Taking the quill pen in hand, Rei wrote down a few side notes by a couple patients listed since she last updated their records in Hylian out of habit, then took the scroll with her. 'What a busy day this'll be. Guess it'll keep me occupied for as long as I'm needed.' she thought observantly while heading down the hall to one of the nearby rooms. For the moment, the princess dismissed such thoughts as she went about tending to a young knight in training. The princess took the medicine she'd mixed up using several herbs at the small side counter by the sink, using it on the young teenage girl's severe wound to the left knee. Rei applied it evenly, noting how deep the stab wound from a sword had been.
"Try not to move so much! It'll be several weeks before you're to resume training, Lady Rachel." she told the girl calmly.
The teenage girl only nodded, inquiring about what the princess knew about fighting. Princess Rei had gladly obliged in sharing such things about becoming a knight, but kept it brief, not wanting to delve into too much detail.
Once finished with the bandages, the princess left the room to allow the girl time to rest, closing the door quietly behind her.

Angelo walked into the hospital with a sigh. It was already busy and he wondered if Rex was working here today. She probably was. So, with that thought he headed over to the front desk, setting his stuff down beside him before taking a seat and getting started on getting info from and about the patients. Yeah. He could tell that it was going to be a very long day. Sigh. But he wouldn't trade this job fir anything. He just hoped that it wasn't a full moon tonight. He could be transforming in the middle.of the hospital. That would suck. Plus he would not be able to explain it. At all. Not that he would stay long enough to do so.

It had been quite a busy morning, despite remaining at the hospital from early evening the previous day, up until the early hours. Princess Rei wore her long sleeved, dark violet dress with black trim that went down to her ankles with matching flats. The skirt had a silver rose pattern embroidered onto it. Princess Rei decided to not bother putting her hair up at all, wearing her small golden tiara and some simple amethyst earrings in the shape of small hearts to go with it. The dress's style was of an old Elvish design. In her arms, Princess Rei held a very young infant boy with fair skin, medium brown hair and bright violet eyes. She placed a fresh wash rag covered in an herbal ointment on his forehead to help with the fever, his face still ghostly pale from being sick nearly all day. No doubt it was going to once more be a busy day at the hospital. The little boy cried in pain, seeming unable to sleep much at all. "Shh, shhh.... It's alright. I'm here, I'm here." Rei whispered to the child as she tried gently rocking him in her arms while sitting in one of the empty chairs. Truly, she didn't want to leave the boy alone at all, for he had one hand gripping her finger as if not daring to let her go. There were some early staff members on duty besides her, but still, Rei had a feeling they'd be a bit shorthanded, considering the circumstances.

The weather had been quite warm outside as Princess Rei walked into the hospital that day. She wore her black and dark violet ninja attire, keeping her obsidian gauntlets on. Upon them was engraved her sigil from her father's clan. She kept her mask on out of habit like always with her long, raven hair tied back in a low ponytail. Today was the day she'd go check on the infant boy to see if his illness had subsided. Rei had just began to go over her schedule at the front desk, noting there weren't many other patients that day. Perhaps her co-worker was late, considering how early it was by the sun's position in the sky. 'Maybe it's just me this time, working with the children.' Rei thought, letting out a small, tired sigh while reading the red scroll carefully. It wasn't often she'd be here with someone to talk with, besides the patients now and then. Much had been on her mind, yet Rei tried her best to ignore such thoughts for the moment.

Angelo parked his truck in the parking lot of the hospital before turning it off. He grabbed his backpack before hopping out of the truck, making sure he had his coffee and lunch with him before making his way to the entrance where he saw Rei at the front desk. "Good morning, Miss Rei." he called out to he, trying to get her attention as he made his way behind the counter, setting his bag and his coffee down so he could juggle things better. "How have you been?" he asked her, as he clocked in before grabbing a clipboard and starting his duties. He made sure that the patients were all accounted for as he waited for Re I to answer him.

Princess Rei lifted her head up at the sound of a familiar voice nearby. Her gaze shifted towards her friend who just arrived at the desk, lowering her mask so the rest of her face was visible. "Good morning. I'm... doing alright. Better than yesterday at least." Rei admitted, managing to smile a little. She rolled up the small red scroll containing her schedule and put it in her side pouch for later. "How about you?" the princess asked Angelo a bit curiously. The secretary came by, handing Rei a navy blue colored scroll of which she'd requested earlier that week before the man went back to his own duties. Rei politely thanked the secretary, opening the scroll to glance over the contents while waiting patiently like before.

Angelo smiled at her before shrugging. "Wasn't feeling to well for the last couple days. But I'm good now." he replied after a second of checking something on his clipboard. What the he'll were these numbers about? Some of them didn't seem right. Hmm. "Is everything okay, now?" he asked, registering what she said about yesterday. He hoped that she wasn't sick or anything. He poured himself a cup of coffee from his thermos before offering some to Rei. "Want some?" he asked, being polite. Could she even drink coffee? Something to find out later.

"Y-Yes, I took the day off to be home for a while. The last few days before then was rather... hectic." Rei answered her companion. She nodded once in acknowledgement to his second question, noting the items sitting on the desk before him. Placing the scroll on the desk in front of her, Rei stood across from Angelo with the contents of the scroll in full view.; Taking the quill pen in hand, she read through the rest of the contents before signing her name on one line in plain English. "I've been taking care of a rather young patient these past few days. No idea how he got here to begin with. So, as you can see, I.... decided to adopt him." Princess Rei explained, indicating the scroll laid out before her. Once again, she started writing a name upon the last line for the child's name, Prince Akio Riberu, before putting the quill pen down. Rei still managed to smile a little, yet in truth she was slightly nervous just thinking about it.

Angelo blinked in surprise when he heard the adoption part. He paused in what he was doing to look at the other, speechless before smiling after a but. "Really? That's great. I'm sure you'lyou'll make a very good mother. Or big sister. Or whatever you are going to be to him." he replied as he took a sip of his coffee. Wow. Adoption. He looked down at his clipboard, flipping through the forms and frowning. "Hmm. He might be in here somewhere but if He is, I have no idea of who he is." he added, watching as Rei signed. "Nice name. Very regal sounding." he mused, smiling once again At at his friend, happy for her.
