Hurik had been quietly double and triple checking that everything was neatly in place, baked goods were stocked in the display cases and that everything was nice, clean and ready. It was pretty quiet this morning, which is why she might have jumped a little in surprise when the first customer entered. It also might have been because her back had currently been turned as well. Blushing softly from the slight embarrassment of almost falling when spinning around, she straightened up as the man with fox ears and tail came up to the counter. "Good morning. Ask away," She greeted pleasantly. Her lavender eyes looked up in order to meet the gentleman's intriguing yellow ones as he began to inquire, being sure to listen intently. Her expression turned to one of puzzlement when asked if they stacked peanut butter and oolong tea. "We do have Oolong, and I can do. As for peanut butter, we have freshly baked peanut butter cookies, a peanut butter and chocolate chip muffin or for begals there's peanut butter with the other condements just over there, if you'd like that," She answered politely and hoped her suggestions were helpful.

Kitsu listened to the woman, his ears focused on what she was saying. They had peanut butter. Awesome, he would have a good morning with that protein in his system. He pulled out his wallet to get ready. "May I have one Oolong tea, and a pain bagel with peanut butter?" They were the things he knew he could have, seeing they weren't sure how much fox he really was. His tail was going back an forth, almost like it was wagging. Kitsu could feel this, and wished it would stop. "I'm also going to apologize in advance for any fur that falls." His tail just wouldn't stop.

Hurik smiled and couldn't help but watch the movement of her customer's ears with fascination. Then she caught herself staring and shook her head a little. "Um, right, so oolong tea and bagel with peanut butter. And is that for here or to go?" She asked kindly as she turned her attention to the task at hand. First, she had to fill and set the electric kettle to a temperature of 195 degrees Fahrenheit. While it was rising to a boil, she would turn her attention back to the adorable foxman before her while he apologized. "It'll be alright," She replied before going over to the display counter to grab a bagel with a napkin and pulled it out before closing the case, so she could place the bagel in the automatic slicer. "Would you like it toasted?" She asked calmly, all the while, keeping an ear and an eye out for that whistle from the kettle.

Kitsu heard her ask if it was for here or to go. While he wanted to get to the bookstore as soon as possible, he also just walked from the Nahri district to here. Man, he should just get an apartment in the actual city...but for that, he'd have to take more hours. He didn't like the idea of that. His Dad might help him pay for it, but he didn't want to ask him.

"I'd like that for here, and yes, I'd like for it to be toasted." His tail was still wagging. What the hell was he, a dog? He sighed as his tail wouldn't stop. He needed to figure out what good it would do for him, and if he could get it removed since it was misbehaving. He finally looked at it, and caught it with his hand. It kept wanting to wag, so it was just trying going back and forth.

Hurik nodded as he made his requests clear. Being for here, she would be sure to use a plain white porcelain teacup, resting a strainer at its top. "Alright, then just pick a table to sit at and I'll bring them over when they're ready," She suggested politely before continuing to prepare three tablespoons of the loose leaf oolong tea as the whistle of the kettle. "Such a wonderful sound. And He is just so adorable," Miss Ogden thought to herself as she took the kettle from its heating spot and carefully poured the boiled over the loose leaves as it filled the cup to almost full and the leaves rested enough to steep. Careful not to get herself with the steam.

Since the tea needed two minutes max, she would place the now sliced bagel in the toaster for two minutes. She kept time with a little timer on the counter. Humming softly under her breath, the dark-haired woman would move around behind the counter, a little restless until the timer Dinged. Smiling to herself, she'd remove the leaves and strainer, setting them off to the side. A plate for the bagel was set on the counter and bagel taken from the toaster and carefully spread peanut butter on top. Her customer's order ready, she'd set both on a small tray and take it carefully to his table. "I hope everything is to your liking. If there's anything else, just shout," She stated as she skillfully set the cup of tea and then the plated bagel on the table, her lavender eyes looking to him, curiously.

Kitsu understood. He had to go find a seat. He then bowed "Thank you." He then went to find a seat. He didn't want a booth. He needed a chair that had an open back so that his misbehaving tail wouldn't be hurt. He found a small two person table that had one side that was a booth. He sat in the chair part. His tail still wagging. 'I know that we are having peanut butter, you don't have to wag.' He silently told his tail. He then placed his wallet on the table. This was to make sure that if he turned into a fox, he could still pay.

He waited, it was kind of odd for him to be the only one at a table. He didn't have a book or anything. He did have one thing in his pocket, but that wasn't for here. It was for the bookstore. He was feeling nervous waiting for his food. He didn't normally eat out. He hoped he was doing right. His ears then turned to hear foot steps approaching. It had to be his food. With the smell of warm peanut butter melting on the bagel. His tail started up again, even faster this time. She said something to him. "I w-will, thank y-you" She was still looking at him, a glint of something in her eyes. "Y-yes?" His tail was still going, as the peanut butter was right in front of him.

The young woman blushed softly as she caught herself saying, but not before he said something. Shaking her head as if to clear it, she bowed slightly. "My apologies, I-i don't mean to stare...Um, please enjoy your meal." And with that, Hurik turned and walked away. Unfortunately, the air must have picked up something in the air, because as soon as she and left, she felt a tickle in her nose. The young barista started to internally panic. "Please no," She begged Fate in her mind as she tried to do the impossible...containing a sneeze. Sadly, she would end up doing so in the form of a high-pitched and tiny squeak of a sneeze. To her embarrassment and great dismay, she began to shrink. "Oh dear," A now ten-year-old girl stood in her adult-sized clothes before starting to adjust what she could. All the while her fair cheeks were painted with rose.

Kitsu nodded his head. "It's fine, a lot of people do. I will" His tone of voice finally matching his tail's movement. He had picked up his bagel and was about to take a bite out of it when he heard a sneeze. "Bless you?" He looked very confused at the now child in front of him. His ears perked up. Was she like him? A body changer. He then averted his eyes. She probably wouldn't want him to stare at her. "Sorry for staring. I don't see anyone that does the same kind of thing that I do." He then took a bite of his bagel. The creamy goodness that was complimented by the crunchy goodness of the bagel. He was right to stop in the cafe.

Eyes, it was the eyes. She felt them on her and that only made things a little more awkward as she finished adjusting clothing. Straightening up, she stretched a little before looking back over her shoulder. "It alright. Honest. Um, I'll bee here if you need me," She replied, surprisingly calm as she smiled kindly. "I just have to sneeze again...hopefully before the lunch hour...Wait? He changes too?...Focus Hurik, you're at work," She thought before picking up the tray she had dropped with her sneeze. Taking a deep breath, she went back to the counter and grabbed the backpack before going to the restrooms to change into a dark-gray knee-length cable-knit sweater/dress that she cinched with a black belt at the waist, black leggings and black non-skid flats and finally, an adjusted apron. She may be in kid-form but that didn't mean she could get away with not dressing for work. So, leaving her backpack (with her uniform) in a safe place again, she'd head back behind the counter until she was needed again.

Kitsu waited for her to leave again before taking another bite. His tail was going a mile a minute. His ears kept towards her. Her voice was cute as a child, however, he didn't want to impose anything on her. He quickly finished one half of his bagel. While the peanut butter was yummy, it stuck to the top of his mouth. She took a sip of his tea to wash it down. It was a good cup of tea.

His ears went to face a door. It sounded like someone was coming out of the counter. He moved his eyes there, to see that she had clothing for her child sized body. Her clothes didn't change with her, like his disappeared with his human form. Wait...did that mean if she went into an adult form, the clothing would rip? A bright blush appeared on Kitsu's face. He felt embarrassed imagining that in public, however, he didn't turn. Was he on the fritz? He swallowed his food, and started to work on the other half of his bagel.

Hurik continued her duties that needed to be done behind the counter. All-the-while, hoping she wouldn't sneeze while she was out here. It was enough to do once, then she shook her head as if to clear it. What was so strange strange? After a little bit, she had felt a stare...at least, she thought it was a stare but shook it off. "Okay, maybe he's done?" She smiled a little and peeked over the counter to see that he was working on the last half of his bagel and seemed pretty happy too. Her childlike, wide lavender eyes looking to the fox-man curiously. "Is everything to your liking," She asked the young man kindly.

Kitsu was eating his other half of the bagel when she came over. His cheeks were red, as he was embarrassed. He hoped that wasn't the case, but if it was....

When she asked him if everything was to his liking. He nodded his head, and then he was a fox on a seat. His tail poofed up, as he had the bagel in his fox mouth now. He then jumped down off the seat and hid under the table. He couldn't think of a better hiding place. He hated that it had to happen now.

Miss Ogden smiled kindly as she seemed to wait for a verbal reply. Instead of getting one, she got a nod from the blushing kitsune. She frowned slightly, confused as to why he coudl be so red. "I hope everything...is alright." Her thoughts were momentarily interrupted when the comical image of a full-fledged fox with a bagel sat before her. "Oh my...How cute...Excuse me for a moment." She giggled softly, a bit flustered. She then had to get her backpack and head to the bathroom. When she returned a minute later, she was back to her adult form and in her work uniform. "Sorry about that. Is there anything I can do, to help you," Hurik inquired the fox, although she couldn't possibly imagine how she could help the gentleman fox.

Kitsu waited for her as she went to the back again. When she came back, she was an adult again. He however, was still a fox with a bagel he could no longer bite in his mouth. His ears were flattened against his head. It wasn't like he could talk either. He was literally a fox in a restaurant.

She asked him if there was anything else he needed. He decided to jump back on his seat, and try to get the bagel out of his mouth. The roof of his mouth was sticky with it. He wrinkled his nose, and tried to use his tongue to get the peanut butter off the roof of his mouth. Man, he must look weird. His ears were down. He wanted to say that he was fine, but he didn't have a way to do it.

Hurik blushed and tried to keep from giggling because it was just so adorable to observe. Though she knew from experience that he must be feeling pretty embarrassed. And she had to stop herself from petting the now fox customer but she really wanted to help him. Seeing his ears down, she frowned a little bit before giving him a gentle, reassuring smile. "It'll be alright. Here, let me take this," She commented and, if he'd allow, she would use a napkin to carefully take the bagel from his muzzle and set it back on the plate. Then, she'd take out a knife from her apron and cut it into pieces for him to nibble on before stepping away. If not, she would refrain and step away.
