The crowd cheered loudly and applauded for them both, and Austin could only stand there in surprise along with Betligre. I...won? An arrangement of emotions built up inside of him. He had done it. He had never dreamed he'd actually get to complete in a contest, let alone win. He could feel his eyes start to get wet with tears of joy and success. For the first time in his life, He felt...good about himself.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWW YEAAAAAAAAH!"
Dallas threw his hands up in victory, flinging Beltigre up and onto his head, where she perched happily. "I win! MY win! Unh! That's right! That's F&%#$in' right!" He got up in Roselynn's face, who was completely caught off guard. "You feel that? That's the winds o' change blowin' a little tune called 'Suck it, B#$%h!' We slapped that a** like it was baby's F&#&#$n' FACE! YEEEEAAAAAH!" By the time he had ended his loud and obnoxious outburst, he realized that everyone was staring at him. "That is to say, I'm very overwhelmed with this outcome. Thank you all so much for your support." The crowd reluctantly began to clap again, and the fanfare built back up. Austin took Roselynn's hand and shook it, blushing deeply. "Terribly sorry, miss, you're not a...well, I'm very, very sorry."
The announcer took over, and handed Austin two ribbons. "Alright, there, hotshot, allow me to congratulate you with these (unofficial) ribbons for winning this competition!" Austin's eyes sparkled with excitement. The announcer also handed him the duffle bag he had brought, no stuffed to the brim with goodies. "As well as the prize money, spa basket, and three Poke'mon! Congrats once again for-"
"Hold the hell up, homey!"
Everyone looked to stage left, where a group of Skull Grunts swaggered up. "Yo, we's the ones that let you posers run this little girly contest, but only if ya'll pay up!" The lead grunt chucked a money roll at Austin, who caught it with his offhand. "Well, that roll be nothing but a 1,000 note wrapped around a bunch of newspaper clippings!" Everyone stared at Austin, who still had a calm face on. "Now, there's a very reasonable explanation for all of this."
Instead of giving said explanation, he swiped the duffle bag, and ran away...but not before planting a huge kiss on Roselynn's mouth. She swooned, which helped impede the Skull Grunts as they made chase of Austin. "Sorry, chums, but I'm late for another appointment! Ta-ta!" The thugs took off after him, shouting loudly.

It turned out the warehouses around the docks were a tad more complicated than Austin might have guessed. As he took off out of the building, Beltigre on his head and his duffle bag full of goods on his shoulder, he had to make many split decisions to gain some distance between himself and Team Skull. They should be mad, he thought to himself, but more because they didn't count the cash ahead of time! What amateurs!
Said amateurs were making chase behind the young coordinator, four in total. "Get him! If you let him get away, I'll clobber you myself!" Austin panted slightly as he picked up his speed. As he made another quick right, he came to a bunch of half-loaded crates and a shipping container. With relative ease, he climbed up onto the crates and jumped up onto the container, before using that as a way to get up on the roof of one of the lower warehouse buildings. And then, it was just a simple task of doubling back the way he came to help lose his would-be assailants.
All the while, Beltigre mewed and hissed, obviously upset about all the jostling and quick movements. "I know, I know, but we mustn't be caught, Beltigre," Austin reassured. He took a large leap to another roof, and had to scoop up the litten as he went into a roll. "Hngh, and it's hard to do all of this in a three-piece suit, you know!" Beltigre voiced her disagreement as Austin got back to his feet, and took off once again. "I do believe we've lost them-"
Suddenly, a blast of supersonic sound hit Austin, mid-jump, and sent him down to the ground level of the docks. He was able to break his fall onto some garbage sacks, and stumble back onto his feet. It seemed that Beltigre was okay, but shaken by the endeavor. "Nnngh...what..."
Austin looked up the way, to see that the Skull Grunts had caught up, and were ready to fight. The leader of this group of four (the one with the most chains around his neck) spoke the loudest and proudest. "Thought you could ditch us on our own turf, huh? Don't think so, loser!" A raucous laughter left the thugs as they advanced. Next to the squad leader was a Loudred, most likely the cause of the sound blast. "So, we're gonna beat you up for running away, and then we're gonna take all of your Poke'mon for trying to cheat us. Dig?"
"You got my suit dirty."
The thugs looked among each other, confused. "Yeah...so what? We don't care." Austin looked at them, with a disturbing smile. "You should. I only have the one suit, you see, my Sunday best, if you will. It's very, very very important to me." The thug-in-chief smirked under his bandanna mask. "Yeah, and?" Austin let out a little chuckle before his face turned to a mask of hate and unadulterated rage. "AND NOW I'M GONNA KICK ALL OF YOUR ASSES!"

Before the closest Skull Grunt knew it, two feet were planted cleanly in her chest. She had a split second to realize 'oh crap!' before she was knocked off of her feet and sent to the ground, winded. Dallas (though still dressed as in his Austin persona, but much, much more like his usual, violent self) didn't waste any time getting up from his drop kick, and getting ready for the counter attack. "Oh, it's on now, bro!" The portlier grunt threw out a ball, revealing a stunning, icy Vulpix. "Seriously? Of all the times to be able to prove that d**k Saru wrong....Riptide, it's chow time!" He quickly released his little shark, who instinctively crunched down onto the Vulpix's tail, who then proceeded to run around in circles, crying.
As that distraction went on, Dallas took the time deck the big grunt quite a few times. "It's a new diet, fatso! Called the knuckle sandwich meal plan!" One more haymaker was all it took to KO the grunt, and Riptide had rushed on a jet of water to finish off the Vulpix.
Before he knew it, Dallas was kicked in the face by the female grunt he had sent to the ground. She tossed out a Morelull, and the fungus Poke'mon looked ready to go...but Beltigre was far faster, and quickly charred the poor thing before it had a chance. "Aw man, that's gotta suck!" The femme grunt replied with another kick, but Dallas made the counter-argument of a leg grab into a toss into the nearest Dumpster. "Who's next?"
There were only two left standing, and the tallest one threw out a Crabrawler that was already swinging like a madman. "Beltigre, use-wait, Queen Bee, what're you doing?" Curious about the commotion, the bee Poke'mon popped out of her ball, only to get socked in all three of her faces. They indented, but quickly popped out. She didn't even seem phased. "Works for me. Queen Bee! Gust attack!" The little bee's wings fluttered as fast as they could, making a wind gust that sent Crabrawler flying into its trainer. "Three down. One to go."
The squad leader didn't seem to be worried. "Maaan, those posers weren't nothing compared to me! Me and Boombox here will show you how it's done!" The Loudred let out a gigantic blast of sound from its huge mouth, right at Dallas and company. But, its attack was deflected by a new Poke'mon that burst out of Dallas' bag. "Holy Miltank, that's a Hawlucha!" The fighting bird stood proudly, having shown off his detect move with ease. Loudred roared in anger, but Hawlucha didn't waste any time. He darted up nice and close, and delivered a loud karate chop, right on the Loudred's head. Instant. K. O. It fell over like a piece of lumber.
Squad leader looked far more shook than before. And Dallas knew that. "So, about my suit," He stepped towards his would-be attacker, who started to tremble and step away. "H-hey man, I was just playin' dog! I'll, uh, I gots skrilla, homey! I'll get you a new suit!" Dallas smiled, and cracked his knuckles. "Too late for that, pal. You specifically said, 'we don't care.' Verbatim. You know what Verbatim means? I guess it doesn't matter. Point is, either you're a punk that thought you could take me on, or you're a liar, and buddy, I hate both just about the same."
After ten minutes of beating up the grunts and taking their money, Dallas sighed, and adjusted his bowtie. "Good job, team," he said to his Poke'mon. "Especially you, new guy! I'll call you...El Halcon!" El Halcon seemed to like the name, and took a bow. "Alright, let's get outta here before somebody sees us."

By the time Naomi made his way into Hau'oli the sun had set, prompting the many streetlights littered about the city to flicker on. They provided a bit of comfort to the foreigner, and gave him the, very false, idea that he could actually explore the city a bit before trying to find a room and board for the night. Gently readjusting Mori in his arms, Naomi began his aimless trek throughout the city. "This is the city's shopping district," he explained to those willing to listen, i.e. Ieyasu and Sousa. It was an ideal place for any self proclaimed shopaholic (which Naomi was), with many shops and tourist hotspots that just begged to be looked into, and with the city's sea breeze it truly set one at ease; Naomi understood now why the city often described as 'overflowing with gentle joy'. By some miracle, he managed to resist and continued along the sidewalks; there was no need to rush into every store that caught his eye, at least not yet, tomorrow was a different story.
His explorations eventually lead him to the marina, and while there wasn't much to see Naomi still looked about in wide-eyed wonder. If memory served correct, there was one more area to visit, and at this time of night it was most likely deserted, which made it a prime place to visit. Plan decided, Naomi continued along. As he moved on, a vague idea of where to go, the sound of his shoes against the docks--previously the only sound in the night air--was drowned out by those of... well, it actually took the boy a few seconds to discern what it was that he was hearing. But before long, he had distinguished the sound of fighting, and distinct yelps of pain.
There was a split-second in which Naomi juggled either keeping on, or investigating, before he decided to go with the latter. He couldn't just go about his way when he knew someone, or rather multiple someone's from the sound of it, was in distress. "You idiot!" Rotom hissed after him, watching in dismay as Naomi went running in the direction of, what he'd already decided was, the wrong way to go. Arceus, didn't this kid have any common sense? You didn't go towards the sounds of fighting, unless you were looking to join one, and Naomi barely looked strong enough to hold himself up... Cursing, in both human and pokemon tongue, Rotom reluctantly began to follow after the trainer. If worse came to worse, he could always hide in one of the many warehouse buildings.
Though he didn't know exactly where he was going, he didn't need to, all he had to do was listen; if it sounded as if the fighting was closer, he was going in the right direction. In his arms Mori, who had been awoken by Naomi's jostling, mewled in discomfort before he looked down at Ieyasu for an explanation. The Eevee didn't meet his gaze, unfortunately, too busy with keeping straight ahead while also working to keep his human from running too far ahead of him. Naomi slowed down when the sounds, the only thing he had to go off of, stopped and he was left in silence. He turned in a circle slowly then eyed a left corner, almost certain he needed to turn there. It was only when a voice spoke out, masculine, that his guestimate was confirmed.
Okay! Good! He had been going the right way. Now what? (Un)surprisingly, he hadn't thought this far. "Excuse me?" Naomi called out to the stranger, right before he rounded the corner. He was met with the sight of a blonde man, donned in a suit that had seen better days, and a few other pokemon, nearby were... one, two, three.. four individuals, dressed in matching, albeit odd, clothing. Just what had he walked in on? Naomi, turning away from the group and back to the male, took a step in his general direction. "Are you hurt, sir? I heard fighting," he asked/explained, slowly, trying to gather his thoughts. Even if he was the clear victor of this scuffle, it was always good to ask. Not that he knew much about medical treatment, besides the basics. "What happened?" That was the next best thing to ask, probably. At least, that was what he felt was right.

Dallas was pretty sure that he was going to get away scot-free, but then a concerned voice called out to him.
"Excuse me?"
His whole back tensed up at the sound, and he slowly turned to put a face to the voice. The voice belonged to a young man, around Dallas' age, if he had half a guess. The stranger's getup was definitely foreign, so maybe he was an tourist as well. He had gentle eyes, and a look of genuine concern on his face. Dallas couldn't help but stare, feeling his cheeks rose up (from embarrassment from being caught, of course). "Uh..."
"Are you hurt, sir? I heard fighting,"
Dallas glanced back at the beaten grunts, then back at the stranger, then to the wad of money in his hand, and his recently battle-dirty Poke'mon. C'mon, idiot! Think of something! With his free hand, he cleared his throat, and prepared to get back into character to get this tourist on his side. With a dramatic flourish, he rested his hand on his head, looking quite weary.
"Oh, what a dreadful turn of events," Austin sighed. "To think that ruffians of these sort would be on an island paradise like this!" He realized he was chewing the scenery, and dialed it back. "You see, these criminals aimed to rob me of my winnings and my dear Poke'mon," he continued. "You see, I'm a coordinator, a rather prestigious one at that, and, while I'll admit that joining an illegal contest is uncouth, I could not rob my team of the stage." On cue, Betligre climbed into the crook of Austin's arm, and mewed sadly. "After we were victorious, those...terrible people attacked me out here. But, I showed them how a gentleman fights, and gave them a right thrashing!"
He pantomimed the kind of punch he saw dandies throw before standing back straight and perfect. "In other words, good man, other than my suit and my opinion of this town, I'm perfectly unscathed.." He gave his best kind smile. "Though, your concern is welcoming in a trying time like this."

Naomi taking note of the stranger's change in complexion, offered a reassuring smile; though he didn't know the circumstances behind the confrontation--which was a far gentler and reassuring term than 'fight'--he wanted to communicate to the blonde that he wasn't here to hinder him, only help; and the best way to do that was with a smile. He listened attentively as the man relived his tale, and while Naomi didn't interrupt he could practically feel himself coming up with questions: what was a coordinator? And what was an 'illegal contest'? What made it illegal? Of course, there were questions actually pertinent to the confrontation too. Who were these 'ruffians'? And why were they dressed in all black? Their clothes were far from welcoming...
While Naomi drank this all in, believing the gentleman's words, a certain pokemon was of a different opinion. Rotom, who had chosen the smart decision of keeping himself to the shadows, peeked out from behind a corner and eyed the tuxedo man. 'Gentleman my non-existent a**!', he thought harshly. Unlike Naomi, he recognized the insignia of those unconscious grunts to be that of Team Skull, and while he could believe that they'd try and rough up a lone person for money, he refused to even consider the idea that a single person could take on four people at once, let alone come out with barely a scratch. Things didn't add up! Surely, even Naomi could see that!
But alas, Naomi did not see that, and after the man had finished he nodded slowly. "I see," he uttered, tone free of accusation and suspicion. It was clear that he believed this man's tale, much to the chagrin of Rotom -- who was this close to banging his head against the wall, not that it'd do much. "You are commendable person, sir. Though I am sorry to hear about your suit." It looked to be a well-taken care of one at that, surely, if his mother could've seen the condition of such a piece she would've wept. At least for a good thirty seconds, before insisting she return it to its former glory. Naomi returned his attention to the matter at hand. "You should report this incident to the proper authorities," he suggested. "I doubt every person who might encounter these... ruffians would fair as well as you did, and their crimes should not go unpunished."
He took a moment to look about him, as if trying to locate the nearest police station from his very spot. "I am new to this region, but I do believe I passed a police station on my way over here. I could lead you there, and you could have these people arrested." Naomi paused, his blue gaze drifting back to the man's suit, it really was a shame... "And, as luck would have it, I have some tailor experience. I could try my hand at mending your suit. If you would entrust it to me." His charitable offer made, the dark-haired teen awaited the other's response, but at the same time his mind was working, mental cogs turning, he felt as if he was forgetting something... "Oh!" Naomi, realizing what he had forgotten, set Mori onto the ground in order to dip into a bow. "Forgive me for not introducing myself sooner. I am Shimizu Naomi, and I hail from the Ransei region."

At the mention of the police, Austin quickly backstepped and deflected. "Oh, no no no no no, no need for the police," he said with a laugh. "I'm sure these fellows have learned their lesson, and besides, I'm well and I still have my winnings, so it'd be best to just carry on." He gave a glance back at the grunts, and wondered if they really had learned anything from that beating. "Not to mention I'd most likely get myself in trouble in the process. Can't have that." That was an understatement; if the police ran his record, he'd be in deep water with a rock tied to his waist.
Austin took that time to return most of his Poke'mon, leaving the contest-winning Beltigre out to enjoy the night air. He would head back to the temporary homestead and relax for a moment before trying to repair his suit. He knew how, but he hated doing it. Almost as if psychic, the stranger announced he could mend Austin's suit. "Really?" Austin scratched the back of his head and averted his gaze, feeling a slight redness come to his cheeks. Even when he was being his fancy mature self, he couldn't help but blush like that. Nobody wants to help me... Austin muttered a little, still surprised by the offer. "Well, I wouldn't want to waste your time, if you're on vacation, but um..."
The stranger interrupted with the need to introduce himself. Shimizu Naomi, rather, Naomi Shimizu. It was a cute name, and as he indentified himself as someone from the Ransei Region (wherever that was), it was clear he was from out of town, like Austin. "Well met, Naomi," Austin replied. He also set down Beltigre so he could perform a bow in mutual friendliness. "My name is Austin Tucksworth, pleasure to have met you." Beltigre walked up to the other Litten, and mewed friendly enough.
Austin finally realized that he was still standing at the scene of the crime, and should definitely get out of the area. "I'd like to take you up on that offer, Naomi," Austin said. "I have a small vacation home here in town; care to accompany me there?"

In response to his, vehement, denial to involving the police, Naomi's eyes widened. "Well, if you are certain," he submitted, trailing off with uncertainty. It wasn't as if he could force him to give a statement. When he mentioned the possibility of also getting in trouble, adding on to his reasons not to go to the police, Naomi nodded in, slight, understanding. "Right. Because of your participation in the illegal contest?" he hazarded a guess. He wanted to know more about that, actually, but he figured now wasn't the time to go asking about that; this sounded like the sort of topic that would lead him to asking more than one question anyway.
He shook his head, amusement sparking in his facial features. "It would not take too long. Besides, I am not just a tourist, I am also a trainer. So I have more than enough time on my hands to fix your suit," he assured. Subconsciously Naomi felt around in his hand bag for the familiar outline of his sewing kit, one of the few items he deemed a necessity to bring with him on this trip; this little run-in only further assured him he'd made the right decision. Naomi pulled the sewing kit out for the blonde to see, sporting a rather proud grin while doing so. "I already have everything I need too! So this works well!"
Eventually Naomi returned his sewing kit, wanting to keep it safe until it was actually required. If he did end up helping this gentleman out, he doubted he'd start mending his suit back up here out in the open. When he spoke his name the teen couldn't help but to pause, taken aback by the use of his first name. He covered his face with both hands to hide his embarrassment. Though aware that not every region would follow through with the same traditions and norms as he, to have a stranger address him so familiarly, with his first name, was something he'd have to get used to. Thankfully, he recovered quickly enough and dropped his hands back down. "The feeling is mutual... Austin," he repeated back, already feeling odd to have spoken his name. Mori meowed back at Beltigre, surprisingly alert within the presence of one of his own.
"Yes, I would." Naomi gestured for Austin to take the lead, and he'd follow behind. "Rotom?" He called out, only now realizing that the pokemon wasn't with him. A sigh could be heard, before the pokedex rounded the corner. "I'm coming, I'm coming," he muttered, careful not to reveal how suspicious he was of Austin as he joined the two humans. "Excellent!" He clapped his hands together and smiled. "I am ready when you are, Austin."

Austin felt guilty for making Naomi looks so embarrassed, and was about to apologize profusely. You hardly get to spend time being 'nice'. Don't screw it up! It was clear that wherever this teen was from, using the first name was considered rude. "My apologies, Mr. Shimizu," he said, taking a quick bow. Luckily, it seemed like things were smoothed over, as the two of them and their Pokemon were on their way.
As they walked, Austin glanced over at the Rotom/Pokedex that followed Naomi; he hadn't seen one of them up close, but it was definitely interesting to see a flying pokedex follow and...well, if he didn't know any better, Austin would've said the thing was giving him a look. Peh. It's a Ghost type; they're always trying to prank and spook people. It was definitely something to ask more about, but the coordinator had a problem.
He was nervous.
It wasn't a feeling he was used to. Austin was only this way this and one other time. The rest of the time, he was pushing people away and being the abrasive b*****d that everyone hated. He didn't get a lot of time to...talk to people. He was good at faking it, saying nice things and making small talk. But for some reason, this was different. "Um.." Austin coughed, which caused Beltigre's ears to perk up and glance at her usually-confident trainer. "So, you said you were from the Ransei Region," he said after recovering. "I'm embarrassed to say I've never heard of it, Mr. Shimizu, but maybe you could tell me about it."

Naomi offered a delighted, albeit appreciative, smile. "It is fine," he assured. "Please, feel free to call me whatever you would like. I know that here, in the other regions, people are more accustom to referring to each other by their first name." And if he wanted to fully immerse himself in the different cultures and norms of the regions, he needed to participate, and encourage, others to follow as they usually did. Naomi resisted the urge to bow back, just out of habit, and instead busied himself by gathering a few questions together that he wanted to ask Austin.
Now on their way to Austin's summer home, Naomi breathed in deeply to enjoy the night air. Unexpected encounters aside, he was enjoying his time in Hau'oli -- in fact, he could argue that meeting Austin only enhanced his evening; he was the first person he'd meet officially since arriving to Alola. "Hm?" A bright gaze was afforded to the taller male as he spoke up, and Naomi perked up as he made an inquiry on Ransei. "Oh! Well, Ransei is a small region, so I am not surprised that you have not heard of it. It is very different from the other seven, as it does not have any gym leaders or... contests. We are divided into eighteen different kingdoms -- I hail from Fontaine. It sees its fair amount of water and flying types." Naomi stopped to catch his breath, but used that as a chance to try and think over what else he could tell Austin about his home-region. Honestly, there was so much to say, but he didn't want to overload the poor man. "There is quite a bit of history behind it, and I would not want to bore you," he admittedly sheepishly.
For the most part finished, Naomi looked to Austin with the same curiosity. "I am sorry for not asking sooner, but what region are you from?" Honestly, he was surprised it had taken him this long to ask, this was his best chance of learning more about the other regions that didn't involve reading from some book; firsthand information, a native's insight and experience, was far better. "And what made you want to visit Alola? If you do not mind me asking." Ah, he was getting excited again.

Austin listened carefully as Naomi spoke of his home region. It sounded like it was a very interesting region. Though, the lack of gyms and contests seemed disappointing to the young coordinator. However, the way that Naomi spoke about it was clear that it was something that meant alot to him. "Well, boring or not, your region sounds quite beautiful. Or, at least the way you speak of it makes a grand argument in its favor." Austin nodded in favor of his own statement, and Beltigre mimed his action, as she was ought to do.
The question was soon reversed at Austin, who had to tread carefully. "I'm from the Johto Region," Austin replied, "More specifically, I'm from Goldenrod City. It's a large harbor city that has a magnet train that leads to Saffron City, in Kanto. The two regions are connected, and even share a Pokemon League. Alas, they seem to share the same sentiment as your region, and don't see the need for contests." Austin didn't mention the fact that he grew up in a slum, or his troubled past, or the fact he spent most of his time in correctional schools. That was not an important part of Austin's story. He let out a sigh, and ran a hand through his hair. "Oh well."
Naomi seemed to have changed the subject before Austin could, and the coordinator was relieved. "Well, as a coordinator, bringing something new and interesting to the table is always the best way to put yourself ahead of the competition," he said. "And I heard that this region not only has pretty amazing Pokemon, but even some sort of new way of using moves. Naturally, I had to make an excursion." As he talked, the house that he had broken into soon came into view.
"Ah, here it is!" Austin walked up to the house like he owned the place, and opened the front door. The place was still rather clean, so it was safe to have a guest. "Yes, this a nice little home away from home," Austin said, ushering Naomi in. "It belongs to a few relatives on my father's side." About that time, he noticed the family photo of the actual owners, all of which had a very dark complexion compared to Austin's lightly tanned one. "Very distant relatives. Now, make yourself at home while I get out of this suit."
Naomi regarded Austin carefully, but even in his appraisal he made sure not to make direct eye contact with him and put an end to it soon after, before a smile blossomed across his visage. "Thank you! It really is a wonderful place, I do not think I my brief description does it any justice," he admitted, though even his statement didn't take away from the rather pleased look he kept up. "If you ever wish to know more, I would be happy to tell you about it. Or, at least, suggest to you the most cost efficient trip you could take to visit it yourself." After all, a good portion of events and sights were best enjoyed in person. Naomi laughed when he caught sight of Beltigre's nod, and became momentarily enraptured by the Litten.
He listened, eagerly, as Austin spoke of his own region and hometown, taking the information in with the wide-eyes of an eager scholar. Which he was not. A scholar at least. "I remember reading about Kanto and Johto's shared Pokémon League," Naomi mentioned off-handedly, speaking up only after he was certain Austin had nothing more to say on the matter -- it would've been rude to interrupt. "It is a shame that Johto does not wish to include contests." Which he still needed to ask about. "Perhaps that is something that can change with the coming years?" he suggested.
"This region certainly offers more than its idyllic scenery," the teen mused. "I do want to ask you, Austin, what are contests? I have never heard about them, until you mentioned them." They sounded like an awful lot of fun, and something to potentially get himself into, at the very least Naomi knew they were worth risking potential jail time for. Naomi looked out in the direction Austin indicted to, and approached with him a small house. "You have a lovely home, Austin," he complimented, stopping just at the doorway to complete two things: remove his shoes, and return Mori to his pokeball. He was a guest in the house, and so he wouldn't allow his pokemon to just move about the home--he was only allowing Ieyasu to remain out because he was familiar with the sort of etiquette needed in a stranger's home. Sousa and Rotom were a different story, the bird would remain outside, as he always did, and Rotom... well he was a pokemon dwelling inside of a pokedex, there wasn't much he could do about him.
Reducing his amount of pokemon by one and removing his shoes, Naomi finally joined Austin inside of his home and gave the interior a quick survey before he smiled over to Austin. "Thank you, I will." He gave a short bow, then moved over into the living room to sit down on the couch. Ieyasu, nose twitching with all the new smells available from within the home, placed himself at Naomi's feet and, just like his human, awaited the return of their host. "...You don't find this the least bit suspicious?" Naomi lifted his head up to Rotom as he floated in, sporting a deeper frown than usual. "No, I do not. Why? Is something amiss to you?" Rotom became quiet, and his eyes narrowed in on Naomi. This was... his adventure, he guessed, and well... the kid had to learn on his own, didn't he? Probably. Keeping that in mind, Rotom decided to keep his suspicions to himself, at least until they started inconveniencing him. "...No," he finally answered, decision made. "I'm just not a fan of strangers is all. This guy doesn't seem like much of a threat though. So if you wanna stay, be my guest. I'm flicking off my 'tourist mode' for the night, so if you wanna ask anymore questions direct them to your new pal." Naomi stared at Rotom, his expression indiscernible, but eventually he nodded and smiled gratefully. "I will. Thank you for your assistance, Rotom," he replied, statement genuine. "...Like I said before, don't mention it."

Aislin wasn't quite done being the little brat she was. Though, this time... perhaps she'd give Avikna a chance. She just wanted to something extra mean to make up for the way Avikna had treated her. Sneaking through the darkened room, she managed to open Avikna's bag and from it she snatched two random Tm's and ducked from the room. Traveling across out of the room, she managed further more not to wake anyone, though she'd not noticed Tay's absence from her bed.
Advancing to the Pokemon center's lobby, she noticed a large push crate of various packages, likely set to go to other Pokemon centers, noting a few boxes not yet used, the Lucario snatched one up, folded it closed; she'd seen Korrina and her grandfather deliver plenty of packages before, as well as receive them, so it wasn't hard to figure out on her own. Packing the Tm's within. Suddenly, a sound could be heard from a back door, and the sound of footsteps echoed through the center.... Someone was coming!
Ducking behind the counter, she noticed it was a Chancey. "Chan?" The pink nurse Pokemon questioned. Picking up the package she shook it to see what was inside. "Chan chan?" Setting it on the tray, she looked over her list, a look of revelation cross the pink blobs eyes, and from her pouch she tossed i n a few fancy looking crystals, finally sealing the box shut, and checking one last thing on her list. "Chan!" She confirmed. Pushing the tray towards the front lobby, that was when Tay walked in toting with her the few Pokemon she'd brought back. "Chan chan!?" The Chansey exclaimed, rushing over to Tay. Now was a good time to reveal herself. Become the hero she decided she'd have to be. "Tay! There you are!" Aislin popped up, wandering over to the black-haired girl. Tay arched her head. "I noticed you went missing, come on, let's get back to the room before Avikna notices you left." She voiced, tugging at the girl some. "Let the Chancey get back to her work." Tay's brow furrowed. "Some bad men were trying to hurt these Pokemon." Tay voiced. "I was wondering if Nurse Joy could look them over?" The Chancey looked between Tay and Aislin, then frowned once more.
She mentioned that Nurse Joy was asleep, but she'd take them back to the ER to have them rest, and in the morning Joy would look them over. The Meganium offered to help with the cart, as did the Swablu and Bulbasaur. "Alright... I hope you guys feel better. I'll come visit in the morning!" Tay assured them. With that, she followed Aislin back to the room and quickly slipped back into bed. All that excitement had her tuckered out, and finally allowed her to fall asleep for the remainder of the night.

Austin stepped into the master bedroom, where most of his clothes were at the moment. "I'll explain contests in just a moment," he replied to Naomi. He then shut the door, and proceeded to plot. What the hell am I gonna wear? It had to cover up most of his body; his garish tattoo on his shoulder and back combined with his few scars would not help him keep up the facade. As he stripped down to his skivvies, he also looked down at his knuckles, the words "Riff" and "Raff" proudly adorning them. I can't let that Naomi guy see these! Think, Dallas, think!
After a few minutes, Austin emerged from the bedroom. He wore a nice set of burgundy pajamas (which were the homeowner's), a cream colored robe (also, the homeowner's), and a set of bandages, wrapped around the finger knuckles on both of his hands. He stepped barefoot back into the living room, caring his soiled suit in a neatly folded bundle. "Sorry to keep you waiting," Austin said with a smile. "And thank you, once again, for taking a stab at repairing my suit."
Now that he was comfortable, and believed he had cleverly hidden any signs of his true thuggery, Austin sat down on the comfy couch, setting the suit on the nearby coffee table. "Now, as for contests," he started, "It's quite a bit like a Pokemon Battle, but instead of seeing who's the strongest, it's about seeing who has the most style. In most cases, a group of four contestants compete against eachother to see who's Pokemon best embodies the idea of certain attributes: Cleverness, Coolness, Toughness, Beauty, and Cuteness." For an example, Austin sent out Riptide, his territorial Aklor. "You see, Riptide here can use the move Aqua Jet, just like many Aklor. However, with some proper guidance and some flair...Riptide, Aqua Jet!"
Riptide propelled himself across the living room floor before using his jet to blast off into the air before landing safely in the kitchen, on the counter. He spun around with a skid before gnashing his teeth. "You can make what is ultimately just a water-based Quick Attack into something pretty cool." Austin winked at Naomi before ushering Riptide back. "So, that's ultimately the spirit of contests: showing that a Pokemon is more than just a battler; they're magnificent creatures that all have something very special about them." Austin looked very adamant about the subject, but quickly softened his passion. "Oh, but listen to me drone on..."
