"Please make me a web of size bigger than this." He said to the spider, opened the web in full width. "I'd like to wrap the dummy for more turns," AJ demonstrated what he meant, despite the arachnids were sentiment, he wasn't sure how much the spiders understand his words.
The boil folded the web like a cloth a few times then punched at it, unfolded it and folded only once to punch it again. The spider quickly knitted a web with larger coverage. "Yes, it should be better. Let's test it, shall we?" He grinned and hung the web onto the dummy, overlaid another layer and tied a small firm knot before he wrapped a third layer. So on, when the web on his hand all gone, they were ready for another test.

"Hmm, it works, nice job pal." The boil patted the leg of the spider gently after checking on the dummy. "I guess we'll make it in the next round, are you with me?" asked AJ. The spider reared up in determination, wove a large web in the fastest speed it could. He spread it out, lightly paved on the dummy while making sure he didn't make any holes accidentally. Spider silks, despite stretchable, was easy to damage, their delicacy needed to be taken good care of.
Layer after layer, he did a final check before he told the spider to attack the dummy. The dummy shook vigorously with the strong blow. When it felt it was enough, it stopped and skittered back to AJ. "I think you'll be a better fighter than a weaver," he commented with a satisfied smile. "Alright, let's check it." The spider moved along with the student, front limbs nervously brushing against each other. AJ carefully removed the layers from the dummy, there was no sign of indentations or penetration over it. "Yeah, we did it." The boil reached out his hand with a grin, the spider shortly caught his intention raised up one leg to hit gently against his palm.

Mellow was watchful of the spiders but glad that he could be further away from Tajana. He didn't even open his mouth to introduce the smaller boil to Trisha because he wasn't happy of her tone. It seemed that she was telling Torsten how much he loved sugar cubes and can live without it. Even that was the truth, it didn't mean the demon would be happy to be pointed out about it. The faint smile dropped into a flat line until he sensed the contact of the dragon. Never mind. All the bad mood drifted away as he walked away with Torsten.
"Ok," replied Mellow with a nod, and another nod at he choice of bark. He watched Torsten demonstrated how he got the barks, then he looked at his hands. An equine was born with hooves, not claws, there was no way he could mimicry his nap buddy. A fuzzy leg came into his sight, Mellow couldn't respond to this gulped in horror and recoiled from the spider. The spider didn't move forward but stared at him. "......What do you want?" The spider clicked. "........." The demon couldn't answer any. The helpless spider therefore moved, Mellow immediately stepped back but it dug its front pair into the tree and clawed down until there was a large piece of bark fell. "......For me?" It clicked with a more cheerful sound.
His mouth twitched, not sure if he felt weird or scary. "......Er-thank you." The ears above his head awkwardly turned. "C-Can you get some more?" he made his first request and leaned backward as the spider reared up like a delightful puppy. It felt so strange to get along with a big arachnid but he was glad it seemed too friendly to hurt him.
Still following how Torsten did his "nature's armor", he plucked some long grasses with a fall as he pulled it too hard. He swept the leaves off his head. His hands were not skillful enough to string the pieces together neatly as the dragon, but he did tied them together and put onto the dummy, barely.
"........" Not knowing why the spider didn't do anything it supposed to do, the short boil looked at the spider in confusion as the spider looked back at him. "..........." The owner of the blank face didn't show any expression was actually clueless of what he was missing until he heard Torsten's cry. He left his dummy and spider behind to the dragon and eased up seeing he was alright.
While Tosten worked on his second dummy, Mellow and his spider companion were on a stalemate. Both were waiting for the other to take the first move, he looked around and caught commands from other students with his sensitive ears before there were sounds of something cracked. He finally realized he missed a step, ".....A-Attack," said mellow. The spider dashed over and clamped the dummy between its sharp pointy pair, he swore he heard noises of cracking. The demon gasped at the scene.

Deacon was torn between whether or not he was alright with practically being embraced, if only because he felt a bit safer to have someone there to potentially keep him from falling. Or else they'd just end up pulling each other down if one of them managed to fall; only time would tell.
"They're not after your tail, Demi. They're after your warm, squishy insides."
He wriggled a little, if only because he wanted a bit of bloodflow back into his arms. "You should try. Maybe she'll throw you out of class and you won't have to be around the spiders." Why yes, he would conveniently leave out the potential of whose office he'd have to go to if Tajana dealt with Demi in a similar fashion as Winter had dealt with he and JD.
Deacon's attention followed Demi's when Cady was shouting, mentally making note that he hadn't seen a lot of the ghoul as of late... Though, in truth, he'd not been social much at all so he supposed that didn't count for much... Damien seemed upset all of a sudden, though.
"I need to hear this story," Deacon stated after an amused snort.
Things got a little less funny and a little more unnerving when Cady was suddenly up close and personal. "Demi, tell me you have food because I don't." The tabby hissed as if it would go unheard. He didn't fully trust the manticore to not eat friends considering she'd just mentioned trying to do just that.
And thank Jack he did. Deacon actually sighed with relief.
---
As inexplicably angry as the professor had seemed to be with him, Yuki found Tajana much easier to focus his attention on that the unconscious ghoul in his lap or the sobbing of Astra nearby... Really. He was mentally kicking himself for coming out after all of this. Maybe this forest was just suddenly Bad Luck for him all around. He hadn't properly tried to apologize or talk to Astra since Prom, and that was his fault but what was happening now was not his fault and dear Jack he really didn't know why he had to be the person here to 'catch' this ghoul...
Oh, she was waking up. Yuki tried to remain completely still as she pushed herself up, not even reaching to help her like he might have if he didn't feel like his ghoulfriend was glaring daggers at him. At least she seemed to be alright now. And... Trying to question Astra. Yuki sincerely wished that he could just dissapear, but he was only afforded the ability to become moderately translucent in his embarrassment.
The ghost was actually pretty damn thankful to be left alone when the two ghouls went to their given task. It gave him a few moments to settle his nerves before he took to his own.
---
Their instructions seemed simple enough. Deacon figured that this was going to be an easy pass. All he had to do was throw some scraps of bark and web on a dummy and call it a day.
It was quite awkward to try and keep coordinated with Demi dragging him along, and a small miracle that neither of them met the ground a lot faster than intended. Deacon actually had to take a few moments to smooth his fur down from its nervous, frazzled state.
As Demi went off to work on his own makeshift armor, Deacon addressed his own gigantic arachnid with a rather uneasy grin and an attempt at humor. "Got any recommendations?" Could spiders appreciate humor? He wasn't quite sure.
Regardless, the spider enthusiastically moved to take hold of a fine string of silk that it produced, holding it up in apparent suggestion.
"Well, look who's proud of themself. Think we can get by on just that silk of yours?"
The way the giant's body bobbed, he could only assume was confirmation of that idea, before he was following it to the dummies stationed a distance away. Without so much as giving a look over to the other materials, he hoped that doing something like actual work was going to be avoided. He didn't want splinters under his claws today.
The spider made quite quick work of its task of weaving thin sheets of silk, while Deacon determined where the material should go on the dummy to provide the best defense. He honestly had no ******** idea. He was just throwing it on and hoping for the best. In the end it was a pretty atrocious design - if it could even be called one - with most of the silk wrapped around the torso and head. Apparently Deacon was a firm believer that anyone could survive without limbs and so the protection on them was slim to none.
"It's all up to you now. Do me proud." Deacon said to his companion as he stepped back, gesturing to their dummy and watching intently. Maybe he should have specified that 'proud' meant they weren't going to have to do this again, and not that he expected the spider to tear everything to shreds.
Because the latter was exactly what happened.
