Sebastian nodded, leading the way. "He did inform me that he was going to change clothes first." the butler spoke, looking over Peter's attire as they walked. "Something about disliking the smell of sweat on his clothes."
Meanwhile, Eduard was running a brush through his hair and trying his damnedest to look presentable. Which, even given him, was hard at the moment. Still tired, Eduard had obvious dark smudges under his eyes and his skin was far too pale, even for his liking. His hair was mussed and a complete mess from the last day or so and his clothes were positively rumpled. "One should never sleep in their clothes." he thought to himself as he carefully slipped into something more comfortable. And cleaner feeling. Tan pants with a light blue, long sleeved shirt, seemed to be his pick of the day and, after putting on some tan boots to match the ensemble, the Marquess briefly sprinkled a bit of perfume on his person. "At least I look a little better..." Eduard mused, turning slightly in the mirror to check his image. Somewhat satisfied, he departed his chambers and headed toward the dining room.

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter was standing by the window, observing the sunny day outside. It was a very nice blessing of sun adverse to that horrible weather that they had been experiencing recently. It would have been a perfect day to go outside, but Peter, who usually loved the outdoors and long walks just to get fresh air, oddly didn't feel attracted to the idea this morning.
Peter turned around when he heard a noise behind him. His eyes widened. Eduard had managed to look very different in a very short amount of time. Peter walked over and smiled, commenting on his quick change. Peter raised an eyebrow in mock suspicion. "You seem to be very used to making yourself presentable after looking terribly messy in 'sweaty clothes,' as you called it." It was obvious that last night had changed something about Peter's attitude towards Eduard. There was no longer much of a stutter, except when he was embarrassed, but not in general.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

Eduard smiled as he entered the dining room. The Marquess came to a stop beside Peter, admiring the choice of dress for the morning meal. He started to walk past the young actor and toward the table... when Peter's comment stopped him. His smile turned to a smirk and he set on delicate hand on Peter's shoulder lightly, "Are you insinuating that I sweat a lot when I sleep... or that I just seem to have many mornings where my nighttime activities have allowed for nothing else?" Eduard teased, wondering what sort of reaction this would garner. In truth however, the Marquess was delighted that Peter wasn't stuttering, and he knew that getting the actor comfortable with his usual teasing remarks would be a quicker way to avoid stuttering silence.

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter blushed, but a lot less than he used to. He smiled, averting his eyes for only a second. There was quite a bit of silence before he continued."As Shakespeare put it so well, 'here's an English tailor come hither, for stealing out of a French hose.' Should I be wary of you, dear Marquess? Peter was definitely getting more comfortable. He walked over to the dining table and sat himself down, still smiling.
He waited for Eduard to sit himself down before eating. Peter wasn't particularly hungry anyways, but he knew that Eduard probably wouldn't eat if he didn't. Peter knew that he wouldn't. And so, he resigned himself to a chair at the dining table and waited.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

"Of course not, though a Lady should be quite wary indeed it appears, for my skills seem to have proceeded me." Eduard replied with a wink before releasing Peter and following the young actor to the table. He sat, carefully glancing over the breakfast which Sebastian had brought in with Elizabeth's aid. "Fresh eggs and bacon..." the Marquess whispered, nodding his approval. "Not bad, though I do not know how well I'll take to the bacon. The tea on the other hand," he said as a cup was placed by his arm. "Is something I can strongly recommend." Eduard turned his attention to Peter as the Marquess carefully stirred some sugar into his tea. "Tell me, Peter, and don't lie... how did you sleep last night?" Of course he truly wanted the answer because he wanted to make sure the man was well rested.
(((I am taking the quote to mean that the Tailor is so good at what he does that he even comes up with ways to steal extra cloth from French clothing? In other words, that Eduard is so good at wooing women in bed that he could come up with ways to woo a man as well if he desired?)))

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter started immediately into the bacon. "It tastes lovely to me," he commented, though with Eduard's poor health at the moment, he probably wouldn't have let Eduard eat much of it anyways. Peter picked up the cup of tea and sipped it lightly, agreeing with Eduard that it tasted very nice, especially this morning.
Peter looked quizzically at Eduard, wondering why there was even a need to ask the question. Was he not supposed to have slept well? It was already evident that since Peter had gotten into the same bed as Eduard, he was no longer terrified. Was that not proof enough? "I... I slept perfectly fine." He smiled. "And you?"((Good take on it xD)) L a d y - R o s a l i n e

Setting down his tea, Eduard smiled. "I slept wonderfully actually." the young man replied, his dark gaze on Peter for a long moment. "I meant no offense... I simply wanted to make sure you got some rest, unlike the last time." Carefully, the Marquess picked at his eggs, eating a bit here and there but, for the most part, really not hungry. Being ill was horrid, and the young man knew that his stomach would hardly be settled enough even by dinner to eat much more than a handful. Though, by tomorrow... Well, he hoped that he would be able to stomach an actual meal. "So, what were you looking at out the window?" Eduard asked, trying to find a good topic for conversation that wouldn't make him think about the hardly touched food on his plate.

P e t e r - W i n t e r s"I—" He was about to explain himself, and that he didn't mind not getting sleep, as long as Eduard was okay, but Eduard cut him off without having meant to. He sat quiet and listened. "... I was looking at the sun's rays on the road. Wonderful weather today!" He smiled, and looked directly at Eduard. "I'm sure that this is better for your recovery." Then that reminded him of Eduard's fear of rain, or at least it had seemed that way. He had completely forgotten about that up until now.
"Eduard..." Peter was about to ask, but hesitated, not sure if it was all that good to pry in his employer's—or, as Eduard had said it, 'family member's'—life. "... Never mind..." He returned to his food, sure that he had made things a lot more awkward than they needed to be this morning. And he felt especially guilty for it, since Eduard was still recovering. His lack of appetite made it evident.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

Catching Peter's sudden want to change the subject, though not really knowing what had upset the young actor, Eduard smiled quickly. "How about a picnic in the private gardens then?" the Marquess asked, sipping his tea once again. "No one can enter it without coming through the main house, especially seeing how it is also guarded by a labyrinth of tall bushes." his smile remained. "The sun will do us both good, and it would love to see what you've done with the rose garden at it's entrance."

P e t e r - W i n t e r s"But I haven't finished," Peter protested, welcoming the smoothness at which Eduard had seemed to ignore his hesitated question just a moment ago. He pouted, half jokingly, and eventually resigned himself to laughter. "But if you want to, I would love a picnic out there!"
Peter had always been one to love the outdoors. That was a trait that he had pushed partly onto Rosaline too, since Rosaline loved flowers, especially roses. Peter figured that he was probably so attracted to nature because his mother had always kept a beautiful garden at their modest home, no matter how poor they got. Peter had grown up appreciating flowers.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

Laughing, Eduard set his tea down, "Do you want more time to finish it first?" the young Marquess asked with a smile. "The sky seems clear so, we need not worry about rain drowning out any outdoor activities."

P e t e r - W i n t e r s"I'm already finished." Peter looked disapprovingly at Eduard. "Tsk. I see that you've been finished for quite a while yourself," he reprimanded, though the smile that overcame his expression showed that he was completely joking.
Peter stood up from the table and grabbed Eduard's hand, excited to finally feel the sun with no adulterant in between. He dragged Eduard along to the garden. It was the only path that he had memorized from within the house, besides the one from Eduard's room to his. He waved to Elizabeth as she passed by, carrying a batch of laundry. Elizabeth smiled, glad that they were having fun, then continued on her way.
Upon reaching the entrance to the garden, Peter stopped. "Before you go out there, I warn you that I haven't finished..." He didn't want Eduard to think poorly of his gardening skills just because his work wasn't complete.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

Ready to make a snappy retort to Peter's disapproval of his eating habits, Eduard was suddenly surprised when the young actor began dragging him toward the garden. Of course the Marquess was rather glad that Peter was so happy, and quickly followed after him. He nodded to Elizabeth as they passed, and soon came to a stop just outside the manor doors. "Any work you have done will be a joy to see." Eduard spoke with a smile. "Like I had said... the roses were dying horribly, and I myself have little skill as a gardener."

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter laughed. "I think that by the time our contract is over, and the 'divorce' comes, you'll be a better gardener than anyone you can afford to hire." He smiled brightly and proceeded to drag Eduard out to the garden for a little fresh air.
Upon reaching the center of the rose garden, Peter stopped and breathed in deeply, appreciating the warm smell of the roses that surrounded both him and Peter. He turned and smiled warmly at Eduard, blushing slightly. "So... What do you think...?"L a d y - R o s a l i n e

Blinking in surprise, Eduard frowned slightly, "Are you going to teach me to garden then?" he asked, a bit confused by the statement... Until he saw the flowers. "They..." the Marquess's frown turned to a smile and he knelt beside one of the rosebushes. It was a beautiful deep red. One lithe hand reached out, tipping to bud just enough that he could smell their fragrant aroma. "Beautiful..." Eduard whispered before deftly snapping the stem and lifting the rose with him as he stood. His turn was graceful, and his bow flawless as Eduard lifted the rose, dark hair falling over his shoulders in the process, and presented the beautiful red flower to Peter.
