((Okay I just didn’t want Oliver to feel left out is all, btw I GRADUATED COLLEGE TODAY!))

Anna chuckled to herself at the joke while giving Oliver her duffle bag, “I didn’t even know he had a jet to begin with, I didn’t think he had mutants smart enough to do so” she commented, trying to lighten the mood even though the next few minutes for them were going to be one of the hardest in the next few days.

She knew she had no choice but to leave and wouldn’t be doing it if there was no other way they could get information on Copperstone. Before she left they had to work out a plan as to where they should meet, both of them agreed to meet at the bus terminal near New York, at least it was a common place to meet and Oliver could stay there one night if need be and wouldn’t end up looking suspicious. When their plans were finalized Anna was just about to get ready to leave. Before she left Oliver stepped in front of her, hesitated a moment and leaned in to kiss her. It wasn’t like she wasn’t expecting it but she still blushed a few seconds before kissing him back.

Her left hand gently brushed up against his cheek as she held the kiss, knowing that after a few days things between them might change and a part of her was afraid of that change. In any case she hoped their relationship was stronger than that. Oliver then pulled back a little and whispered for her to be safe in which Anna responded with a little smile that only he could see. She looked into his eyes with her clear empty ones and said “I’ll be back soon, promise” with a quick kiss Oliver went off one way and didn’t look back.

Anna stood near the front of the school while Oliver was walking away to find a means of transportation to the bus station. She waited until she could feel and see the flow of the wind around her hands, arms and body before taking off towards Genosha in the opposite direction.

A part of her wished Oliver had looked back or she had gone after him, but at the same time she knew if either of them had looked back they would have been too worried take off. She flew as fast as she could and as high as she could so she wouldn’t attract attention, to the island of Jenosha. Unlike Xavier’s Institute Mutants lived there, so the amount of mutants didn’t really decrease as much as her school so part of her was a bit frightened, but she had a job to do and she was an adult...so she had to suck it up and be an X-Men for a couple of hours of her life (despite not being in uniform).

It took about half the day to come within eye’s view of the island in the middle of the ocean and when she landed on mutant soil...well let’s just say she wasn’t really welcome. Some of the students picked up her presence while she was flying over and went out to meet or ‘capture’ her. She was tired and a bit weakened but she wouldn’t show the fatigue on her face. The sun was going down and she hadn’t stopped for food or for rest since she left early in the morning, regardless, she put up a fight. “I’m not here to fight any of you, I just want to see Magneto, is he here?” she asked the group that was surrounding her, eyeing her in a very provocative manner that she didn’t appreciate. She really wanted to avoid confrontation, especially since the Professor didn’t know she was here, and definitely didn’t want to get sent back.

“Let’s not do these guys, I’m not in the mood to take you all on by myself...” she powered up in front of the crowd, just to prove she could handle herself, making sure none of them decided to jump the gun. Large circular spheres of air currents formed in her hands as she held them at waist length, open palm. They seemed strong and fast enough to slice through wood...maybe even rock...She was serious when she said she wanted to see Magneto, and wouldn’t leave the island until she did. Anna refused to go back to Oliver empty handed, which means if she didn’t get any information she refused to go back at all and come back to him as a failure.

((Congratulations! What did you major in?

Once again, I have no clue what Genosha looks like at all, so I was just pulling things out of thin air here.))

The mutants continued to glare at her, and for a moment it seemed that Anna would have to fight them after all. But finally one of the mutants - a broad-shouldered man who seemed to be in charge of this patrol - nodded to the others. They all relaxed, and the few who had readied their powers like Anna let them fizzle away.

"Hey, sweet-cheeks," the man said to Anna with a rude sneer. "Cut it out with those air balls, and we'll take you to Magneto."

Some of the mutants behind him smirked, as if at a private joke. As soon as Anna complied, the leader signaled to the others and started walking towards the front of the island where the main battle had raged the last time Anna had been here. The rest of the mutants closed in around Anna, not touching her but making sure she had no avenue of escape. As they walked, one of the mutants muttered some message into a communication device on his wrist.

The leader brought them to the main entrance of Genosha, which was big enough to admit a tank and thus was not even attempting to hide. He led them through the dimly-lit hallways that descended farther and farther underground, until finally they reached a large, round, open room with a domed ceiling. There was a circular raised dais in the center, as though this was a place for large audiences to hear speeches.

Right now, the room was mostly empty other than Anna and her escort...and a man standing at the foot of the stairs leading up to the dais. He was a thin, aging man with grey hair and a finely-tailored suit, but instantly recognizable to any X-Man as Magneto.

"Well, well, well," Magento said mildly, his voice echoing cacophonously around the room even though he hadn't raised his voice. "What do we have here?"

With a smile that didn't reach his eyes, Magneto approached the group and, with a single motion of his fingers, ordered the other mutants to step aside. "Anna Roads, correct?" he said, keeping his voice pleasant. "To what do I owe this surprise? Don't tell me Xavier has fallen so low in his ideals that he's sent a child to assassinate me."

((Sorry for the delay. Yeah, I'm doing school over the summer, just finishing things up. I guess you can blame that for my recent lack of interesting ideas sweatdrop ))

((PLEASE I’m not that smart!!! I’m not in University XDDD I just got a diploma in Media Communications, I’m going back in 2012 for Creative Photography. And what do you mean lack of creative ideas, if anything RPing should like release you from that factual burden and let you be free with imagination! That’s why I love rping but it’s hard to find people...like...really....really hard....))

When the one mutant stepped forward and told her that they’d take her to see Magneto she was sceptical at first, but either way she knew she wouldn’t be able to take on all of his recruits single-handed; plus the last thing she wanted was to start a fight and for the Professor to find out right now and blow their cover. Putting her hands down, the floating spheres disintegrated as she stepped forward with a serious look on her face, “Well I think you should start walking then.”

As he walked she did, and as she stepped forward the crowd followed. Anna didn’t like being stared at and could easily just fly off but again she was here to do a job. She had to ignore their gazes and just go with it. The mutant led her down the front of the school and through a series of corridors that lead her deeper and deeper into the school. It was sort of built like the institute except more modern, much more steel and metal in case Magneto wanted to get involved. Certainly the structure and the spacious island trumped the institute, but that was only because it had to accommodate for more mutants.

After the crowd dispersed slightly Anna felt safer hovering down the stairs instead of walking, admitting to herself that she missed the idea of hovering and flying everywhere, but since she’d gotten together with Oliver she wasn’t permitted to do such things anymore.

Once they made it downstairs they reached a large circular room with a dais in the middle. Upon entering, Anna floated down to the ground and stepped forward to the man who was standing just at the foot of the stairs. She wasn’t afraid but was a little bit intimidated, of course she had every right to be. He could use everything in this building to kill her right where she stood; hopefully he was in a good mood. He addressed her by her name....odd because she’d never introduced herself....but overall she was surprised when he called her a ‘child’. She’d just graduated high school! That should count for something if it didn’t mean she was slightly an adult.

“The Professor didn’t send me I came on my own,” she said firmly and seriously while hiding the crazy gut feeling that made her insides tremble. She’d only really felt that once, and that was when she was in the mall trying to save that human child and her powers stopped working as a large piece of the walkway above them was going to collapse right on top of her. “I’m pretty sure you know why I’m here...especially because you knew who I was before I said anything; I don’t think the Professor goes around telling you every little detail about every student he teaches now does he Mr. Lehnsherr?” Anna didn’t want to get into the details...especially with all these other mutants around. It was rather a private matter to discuss, especially if they found out that Anna’s powers would be useless if she was around Oliver, there was no way they could risk anyone finding out.

“I need to know what you know about me....and why you know about me...because it’ll help me understand myself a bit better and why I’m the way I am...” Anna thought the last part to herself quietly in the back of her mind, still looking straight at the man who apparently caused the Professor so much grief over the many years they’d known each other.

((I finally got to see First Class! That was really good; I liked it a lot. Xavier's always been one of my favorite characters, so it was cool to see some of his origins and what he might be like as a young man. I liked all the little nudges to make fans of the series chuckle because they know what happens later, like them bumping into Wolverine or Xavier saying, "Next thing you know, I'll turn bald!" I wasn't expecting all the foreign languages; that was kind of cool, adding some authenticity to it. I also wasn't expecting Mystique to be Xavier's sister; did they make that up, or is that from the original canon? Oh, and I really liked the parallel between Magneto and Xavier both yelling "NOOOOOOOOO!!!!" about someone killing someone else - Magneto when that guy shot his mother, and Xavier when Magneto was going to kill him with a coin (which was a very nice, if rather gross, touch).

Oh, but there this one part where it said on the screen it was a "Covert CIA Base" or something, but it was this huge sprawling complex rofl I totally cracked up at that part.))

Magneto looked amused for some reason, but he only said, "Come with me, Miss Roads." He turned on his heel, knowing she would follow, and strode confidently through the shiny metal hallways. After a few minutes, they reached a door - metal, of course - and he stopped to hold the door open for her.

It seemed to be some kind of meeting room, furnished with comfortable chairs around a conference table. The walls were covered with wood paneling, and there was a small bar in the corner. Magneto crossed to the counter immediately, gesturing to the chairs. "Have a seat. Can I get you something to drink?" He started to pour himself something out of a dark bottle, a smirk playing around the corners of his lips. "Don't worry, it's not poisoned."

((I feel like I should stop for the obligatory "just get to the point already" response, though this post feels way too short stare Again, I can extend my post if you like, though I suppose our posts will be getting shorter anyway for a while since we're in a conversation.))

((Omg that’s so great! Yeah I know what you mean it’s just the little things that make it so much better! I was a little disappointed cause Continuity with the movies was broken but whatever. And I’m actually not too sure if Raven was actually his sister in the Canon, I don’t follow XMEN all that way back XD I was so sad when Magneto paralyzed Xavier I was like NUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SUPER SAD! It was such a great movie!!!! And I SAW HUGH JACKMAN IN CONCERT HE IS SOOOO FREAKING SWEET <3 and sexy and can sing and dance <3 <3 <3

Also don’t know if I remember that base part...))

The fact that Magneto addressed her so formally and politely only made her more suspicious of what information he could offer her. She followed reluctantly, floating behind him just in case he tried to pull a fast one or at least give him a bit of a challenge before he captured her.

He lead her to a door – metal of course - and then opened it, holding it open as she floated in and touched down on the ground while following him inside. He quickly retreated to the back of the bar in the corner and began pouring himself a drink while ushering her to the chairs across from him. Anna walked over and sat down trying to make sure her eyes didn’t wander too far away from Magneto. He offered her something to drink, reassuring her it wasn’t poisonous, but she politely refused seeing as she was here on business, not a social call.

“Mr. Lehnsherr, what do you know about the Copperstone facility? And don’t lie about it because we already know you have access to files about mutants who were kept there as infants, what I want to know is why you have them and what that facility was used for.” Anna was very composed and serious, staring at him with those empty white eyes like she could just reach into his soul and rip it from his body. She didn’t like the fact he was trying to dilly-dally around and try to distract her from the real reason she’d come to talk to him.

((Oh yeah and I just saw Harry Potter last night <3 <3 <3 I’m so sad that it’s over like I don’t know what to do with myself now!))

((Continuity? What do you mean? *feels stupid* stare

I agree, it was really powerful and tragic that Magneto was the one who paralyzed him - and by accident, too. I realized as soon as Xavier fell down that that's what happened. Woah, I didn't know that Hugh Jackman sang! eek *checks it out on YouTube* Ooh, he's good biggrin

>_< I really want to see Harry Potter too, but again it'll probably be a while. It really is the end of an era, isn't it? I can remember going to see the first movie when I was eleven, just like Harry.))

Magneto was still smiling in a faintly amused way, but he said nothing about her getting right down to business, and sat down across the table from her. When she had finished talking, he took a sip of his drink and surveyed her for a moment over the rim.

Finally he lowered his glass and spoke. "I won't deny that I know about Copperstone. I would be more interested in hearing about how you know about it...and why I should answer your questions. Unlike your dear Professor Xavier, I'm not running a charity here, Miss Roads. What will you give me in return for the knowledge you seek?"

He never stopped smiling that faint smile, but his eyes were steely now, like weapons glinting and just waiting to be used. Suddenly, it became oppressively obvious just how many metal objects were in the room.

((Well there’s comic continuity and there’s movie continuity. Some of the things I bitched about were the history time difference (which is too long for me to explain), the fact that Emma Frost is in this movie as an adult, however in XMEN Wolverine Origins she appears as the sister of Silver Fox and is a teenager. That was one thing that really bugged me cause I love Emma Frost, ummm there were some things with Logan too that I forgot....OH YEAH, Havoc is Scott Summers “YOUNGER” brother when you clearly see Scott in the Cerebro search as a child. Angel is BS, her name is Pixie....get it right - - it’s mostly just small details that should carry over if they plan to make more movies but they don’t.

I remember I saw the first movie for my birthday I think it was my 8-9th I can’t remember and I was terrified of Voldemort XD I can’t believe it’s over...I wanna see it again! ))

It was a small relief that he didn’t deny the information he had about Copperstone, but when he asked what he’d get in return for the information she was a little speechless. Her heart began pounding inside her chest, she could almost feel the sweat running down her hair, she had to give him an answer, and she couldn’t let this opportunity slip away from them.

“You know I can’t get you Cerebro so don’t get your hopes up,” she paused for a moment to think about what more she could say “but if what you want is something I can get you I think we can work something out,” Anna knew she couldn’t take Magneto on in his own school, sure she’d put up a fight but that was probably the best she could do.

Another thing that bothered her was what he could possibly ask for from a young woman like her. She had nothing to offer, no family, no money, nothing but herself and her talent and he had plenty of mutants at his disposal to do his will so what could he possibly want from her?

(Conversation Posts are always short XD)

((Ah, I see. I guess it pays to not know anything for these movies razz You know the thing that always gets me in the Harry Potter movies? In the sixth one, Harry reaches out to get water from the pool to give to Dumbledore, and then the Inferius suddenly grabs his hand. I know when it's coming, both from the book and from seeing the movie before, and I always watch really closely, trying not to jump, but every single time I watch it, it makes me jump! xd ))

"Thank you for being so accommodating, Miss Roads," Magneto said comfortably, taking another sip of his drink. "For the moment, I think I can make do without the Cerebro. I believe I know a friend of yours - a Harding. Let's see, what was his name again?" He didn't bother to wait for an answer. "Ah, yes...Oliver."

His smile widened at Anna's expression. "I want him. In return for the information you seek." He leaned in slightly, his gaze as hard as iron as he said in low tones, "And if you beg me, then perhaps I'll let you join him."

When he leaned back in his chair, his eyes were half-lidded again with apparent complacency. "Now, don't give me that look, Miss Roads. I have no sinister plans for him, I assure you. I do not intend to kill him - or you - if you give me no trouble."

((I just got an extension of the idea I had before that kind of puts Oliver into prominence stare We both know that he and Anna are equally important, because they're linked and they love each other, but I can't shake the feeling that if I go ahead with this idea of mine, it will make Oliver too Gary Stu-ish.))

((OMG ME TOO! Every time I watch it I’m like “...NOW!....nnnnnNOW...nnnNOW!” and I’m just like WHY AM I STILL JUMPING!?!??! I KNOW IT’S GOING TO HAPPEN!?!?! It makes no sense! LOL))

Finally when Magneto named his price Anna shot up like a lightning bolt from her chair glaring and refusing his offer all in a split second. “NO! That’s completely out of the question” she stood firm with her claim. How dare he ask her to turn in Oliver and for what!? He probably wanted to finish what Copperstone started and brainwash him into stealing Cerebro or killing a bunch of innocent people!
No. Anna wouldn’t stand for it, there had to be something else he wanted, something else she could give him in return...

While she tried thinking of another way out of this she noticed his slight change in expression leaning in closer to her to inform her that if she begged she could join him...but join him for what? What was it that he wanted from the both of them?

It seemed the situation was becoming more and more complicated by the minute as Anna felt that she had to hide more and more of this conversation from Oliver when she returned and she knew she wouldn’t be able to do that for long. Looking away from Magneto, Anna clenched her fists and bit her lower lip trying to figure out something else she could possibly offer him, or give up entirely and turn to the Professor. Maybe they were wrong and maybe this was something they couldn’t handle by themselves, the sacrifice was too great and she refused to lose Oliver after all that had happened.

Magneto leaned back in his chair with his drink, reassuring her that no harm would come to either of them so long as they agreed to his terms. But Anna refused, it wasn’t her decision to make, she may have been Oliver’s girlfriend...or at least that’s what she believed, but she wasn’t in-charge of his life or the decisions he made.

“Counter-offer” she finally spoke up, turning her head back so her empty white eyes could stare back at him, “You can have me instead,” Anna had never stood up for anyone before, not like this...She wasn’t going to put Oliver in danger if she could help it, he’d saved her more times than she could remember, he meant more to her than he could possibly understand. If she could give herself up for this information it was worth it. “I should be good enough right? Especially if you wanted me to beg to join him, but I’ll willingly give myself to you if you give me the information and as long as you don’t tell Oliver. I know that both of us are worth something to you, you’re better off taking someone with more skill and experience for whatever plans you’re concocting.”

Anna hoped he’d take the bait because it was all she had to offer him. She stood tall and proud while brooding over Mr. Lehnsherr but on the inside she was rather frightened like the first time her powers stopped working. She felt as if he was sucking the will power from her and turning her into a coward and helpless child like she was when she ran away from home and was homeless for a while. In the end she knew she had to get through it, not for herself but for some people who depended on her and looked up to her like Oliver, the Professor, Valon and Luke. Without realizing it Anna had gained more and more self-respect for herself, more than she hoped to ever have. In a sense, she felt like she had a future waiting for her somewhere and that Copperstone was just a minor obstacle in the way of becoming a real person with real feelings who would one day be able to express them.

((...What’s Gary-Stu....is that like Mary-Sue....what is that again....I used to come across the term a lot but since I don’t rp that much in groups I rarely see it))

PostPosted: Mon Aug 15, 2011 7:35 am
((Yeah, a Gary Stu is the male version of a Mary Sue; some people also call it Marty Stu. One definition of these travesties is "A character who is idealistic, lacking flaws, an overidealized self-insertion of the player, unrealistic, or characterized by several cliched and archetypical traits, including physical appearance, nomenclature, history, and personality." Usually they tend to be the center of attention all the time, like they're the most important person in the world. I'm always paranoid that when I make characters important, they'll become too Mary Sue-ish. I think Oliver will manage to avoid that, though.))

Magneto contemplated her silently for a few moments, meeting her blank gaze unflinchingly. He tapped his glass with his fingernail as he considered her offer. His eyes were like steel doors that shut out any and every sign indicating what he was thinking or how he took her words.

But finally he set his glass back down on the table and folded his hands. "Very well. I accept your offer, and your terms. I will say nothing of our deal to Oliver. I assume you and he will be going to investigate Copperstone yourselves? I have no objections, so long as you turn yourself in willingly once your curiosity is satisfied. And don't think for a moment that you can run or hide from me. I will be watching, and if you do not uphold your end of the deal, I will kill you both immediately."

His calm expression and casually crossed legs belied the cold, cruel danger behind his words. He looked as old and wise as Professor Xavier, but his methods couldn't be more different. "Do we have an understanding, Miss Roads?"

((Honestly though I don’t really mind it unless you take it like WAYYYYYYY too far then that’s a different story. Hope it doesn’t seem like Anna is like that….I try not to but it’s hard when it’s onexone even if you are playing other characters, everyone is usually secondary unless there’s a conflict in relationships.))

The silence was killing her.

It seemed to take Magneto forever to decide whether or not he’d accept her offer, of course if she didn’t she had no idea what she’d do next. She felt like she was standing there like an idiot. Right hand clutched slightly, eyes staring directly at him, holding her breath as if almost desperately waiting for an answer.

Finally he spoke.

He agreed on her offer and would say nothing to Oliver as long as she willingly turned herself over to him once their curiosities were satisfied. Anna had no idea what was in store for her when she returned to Genosha but at least she felt she was protecting someone and fighting for something she felt was important.

With her head lowered, bangs slightly covering her eyes she slowly sat down in the chair across from him and muttered something that was almost inaudible.

“Agreed”

Anna felt like she’d lost the war before the fight even started. She had to figure out a way to hide all of this from Oliver. She couldn’t let him stop her, if he did they’d both be killed, that she was sure of.

“Tell me what you know about Copperstone, and don’t leave any details out”

((I feel like this is the part of an action kind of mystery movie like where the character finds out something but the audience doesn’t know and then at the end of the movie everything is revealed to the audience. Like in this case if it was a movie there would be a cut-scene right now where Anna would be leaving Genosha and Magneto would be watching her fly away back to Oliver, but the audience has no idea what they were talking about. Even though Anna has to tell Oliver what Magneto told her she’ll obviously keep some things to herself and then in the end of the movie is when the entire conversation is played back in bits and pieces when Oliver finally figures out the truth. I DON’T KNOW I WATCH WAY TOO MANY MOVIES! I have a very…imaginative sense of how rps play out like movies XDDD))

PostPosted: Wed Aug 24, 2011 7:52 pm
((No, no, I know what you mean! I've been feeling the whole "dramatic action movie" sense all through this conversation. But I don't think we'll be cutting dramatically away just yet xd ))

Magneto got to his feet and slowly paced up and down before her, hands clasped behind his back like an army commander. "How to begin?" He gazed at the sparkling crystal pitchers on the counter, as though he could look through their prism and see a time long ago, when Copperstone was new.

"I'm sure you know, Miss Roads, that during the Cold War the United States Government put their scientists to work developing nuclear weaponry, ostensibly to protect the country from the Russians. What many do not know is that the government didn't stop with atomic bombs. Scientists were just becoming aware of mutants, and they put into effect many experiments to study this phenomenon. To study...and to replicate it."

He turned on his heel to eye her silently, then continued his pacing. "Copperstone was a facility built to manufacture atomic bombs, but was never used for that purpose. In the late '70s, the group of scientists who were studying the mutant gene were removed from the government payroll. The government had decided they no longer needed mutants, and scientists and test subjects alike were soon to be scattered across the country, fading once more into anonymity."

A cold smile lit his face. "So I offered them an alternative. I gave them the funding they needed, and they continued their experiments. The focus of these experiments was to determine if humans' genes could be mutated synthetically. If mutants could be created. How the mutations determined the person's power."

It was fairly obvious why these experiments would be appealing to Magneto. If normal people could be turned into mutants, they would be able to turn everyone into mutants, or at least create a mutant army powerful enough to wipe out or subjugate the rest of the human race. Magneto watched in satisfaction as he saw understanding in Anna's expression. "Yes. You and Oliver Harding were test subjects in Copperstone. We took you as infants, telling your parents you died shortly after birth, as we did for many infants across the country. After close to two years, we could detect no change from our experiments, so we placed you in families that would monitor your movements and growth. Once you displayed signs of the mutation, you passed out of my sight for a short time.

"But now, here you are again. The pull of destiny, no?"

((And I probably just tromped all over canon, but who cares? xd ))

((WHOOO CARESSS LOL! ))

There was silence in the room after Magneto explained the situation of her birth, life, and her connection to the Copperstone facility.

She was right in the beginning when she assumed that everything in her life was a lie, but she never imagined that leaving home was the best decision she’d ever made - well a lot of good that did her now.

Anna felt so used.

One of the few test subjects Copperstone had ever had who turned out successful, and she wasn’t alone. If she and Oliver both exhibited powers and the mutation why shouldn’t the other children who were there at the same time?

Questions upon questions raced through her mind, her heart feeling empty at the thought that her existence was meaningless. She could have been a normal human being if she’d been born under different circumstances, but then again she’d never wish her own fate upon anyone else. Deep down inside she was too much of a kind and caring human being to not want to shoulder all the responsibility.

“B-But..” Anna was finally able to speak after a few minutes, “the majority of mutants don’t show signs of mutating until they’re teenagers, someone like you would have obviously known that. Keeping us until we were two years old is hardly enough time unless….” a thought occurred when she realized why he’d let the children go after a short amount of time, “you got the scientists to genetically increase the rate of the mutating process…perhaps radiation…” she’d heard about it in her bio class with Mr. McCoy but even he didn’t think it was possible, the test subjects were unusually unstable or didn’t survive.

“That must be why Oliver and I can’t be around each other when we try to use our powers, it’s a side effect of the advanced mutation isn’t it?” she was only speculating of course. She could have been wrong about all her assumptions, but knowing all this still didn’t change the fact Copperstone had to be shut down.

“You’re planning to gather us all up aren’t you? Me, Oliver, and the others as well. What else could you want with us if not to kill us? But why would you, your experiment worked didn’t it? Because here we are, still alive and well and breathing down your neck,” Anna got the courage to stand up and pronounce her humanity. “I’m not some experiment. I’ll never belong to you and that facility you raised me in. I was and always will human, she had feelings deep down inside and she knew she cared about the Professor and about the school, and about Oliver. “I agreed to your terms and I won’t break my promise, but I will never let you experiment on others ever again.”

Anna almost wanted to storm out of Genosha and head back to the main land to meet up with Oliver and tell him what she found out. Of course she’d leave out everything that related to Magneto and the promise she made to come back once they were finished. She didn’t want to lie but it was the only way to keep him safe. “Tell me where the facility is located and I’ll show myself out” she didn’t know what she was going to find in there…whether or not it was still functional wasn’t her concern. Magneto may have had all the information she wanted but she didn’t want Oliver to know…best lead him to a dead end and let him be oblivious to what was really going on…an example being the prospect of their parents still being alive. Copperstone must have kept a record somewhere; maybe their parents wouldn’t believe they were their children or that they were alive and mutants but it was a comforting notion to know that they might have/had a family.

The prospect of what Magneto was going to do to her when she came back was quiet terrifying…what if he took away what humanity she was holding onto and brainwashed her. She couldn’t bear the thought of that. The only thing she could do now was to protect Oliver from the truth and the burden of knowing his entire existence was a lie.

((Oooh, I'm getting shivers down my spine! This is so exciting and climactic! xd ))

Magneto smiled a slow, cold smile that was not comforting in the least. "I see our experimentation did nothing to harm your mind. I won't bore you with the details - you will no doubt find answers to most, if not all, your questions once you investigate Copperstone. But yes, our other experiments led us to expect you to display signs of mutation much earlier than you did. I can see now that your lack of symptoms instead proved that our experiments were essentially a success. You left Copperstone a mutant like any other, developed a mutation like any other."

There was more, so much more that he could have told her. Reams and reams of data that he could have explained to her, to somehow justify his actions and show her what sort of person she had become. But he said no more, only pulled out a map and proceeded to give her directions to the facility where all those questions could be answered.

Once Copperstone was clearly marked in red on the map, and Magneto had reminded Anna that the facility was underground and the entrance well camouflaged, he ignored her insistence and marched her to the door through which she had come in. The last she saw of him before the iron door slammed closed behind him was his triumphant smirk as he murmured, "Au revoir, Miss Roads."

((I’m sorry it’s so bad...I was like half asleep when I wrote most of it...))

Anna didn’t once look back towards Genosha once she left. She felt like asking him more but what would be the point? She’d only worry Oliver more and it would already take a while for her to fly back to the main land anyway. Taking the map and couple of papers Magneto had given her she stuffed it behind her under her pant hem, kept her shirt pulled over them and flew off. Although a lot of questions were swirling around in her mind all she could think about was getting back to Oliver...collapsing in his arms and almost pretending like she’d never heard any of what Magneto told her. It was a heavy burden for her to bear but it wasn’t like he wouldn’t do the same for her if he was in that position.

By the time the sun was setting Anna had made it to the bus station where she and Oliver promised to meet up when she was finished. He had her blue duffle bag with him, as well as his own bag of things. At least they looked inconspicuous; other couples and groups of teens and adults were sleeping around the terminal, waiting for their busses or eating, basically idling about. Anna landed a few blocks away in an alley and then ran the rest of the way.

“Oliver” she called when she saw him sitting in a corner with their things.

Wandering over she sat down and embraced him slightly before leaning her head on his shoulder as she embraced him. She was so tired of flying and keeping awake the entire time, trying to keep distracted she just wanted to fall asleep. “Copperstone, it’s where you thought it was (Atlanta or Arizona I can’t remember which one you picked),” she reached behind her and took out the map that was hidden behind her back. “Sorry it took so long, Magneto was holding me up...” she didn’t want to explain why and hopefully he wasn’t going to ask, all she knew was that she was tired.

Moving beside him, she leaned against the side of his shoulder and held his left hand in her right gently while her eyes began drooping. At least he had the information they needed, so he could buy their tickets. (The city where they have to go) was a long way from the East Coast of America and there’s no way they could get there without acting suspicious. Bus and train was the only way to travel, yes it was going to take them longer to get to the West, but it’s not like they could fly there or steal an air craft...besides Anna didn’t know how to fly any of those, she was a spaz when it came to technological machines like that.
