Hmm, I'd say it's a good start. The touches of gold in the outfit compliment the sun staff well. You're head does need something, it's far too bland. Overall, it's indeed a work in progress.

I personaly find it funny; how one can judge so quickly, without knowlage to support their claim. It's also funny how he announces it, like his opinion really means anything.

Hee hee, lovely! I think, though, that the umbrella is a tad clashing. I'm rather particular about colour combinations, so forgive me. (Also, the ears and hair seem sort of... off, but I understand that it is for a costume, so it makes sense.) seven tenths! b
