Julius nodded when Danica greeted them and said it was a nice day for flying and then turned back to Leo when she said that there was something she wanted to ask of him. He waited for a moment and then his eyebrows shot up into his bangs for a moment and then he stared at her blinking for a moment taking in the offer-surely there had to be better choices right? He was one of the quietest Gryffindors. And he felt like he lacked the confidence that seemed to be in most Gryffindors, and then with Danica there it was basically guaranteeing for her she'd have another two years of sitting on the sidelines. Julius bit his lip and then looked back to Leo before nodding, "I... I don't know how well I can pull it off and all, but if you are set on asking me, it wouldn't be right to say no... so yeah. I'll do it, if you want me too." Julius really hoped he didn't regret this decision or have to try to navigate some kind of unforeseen drama or what not.

Pru raced down to the pitch, irritated with herself not having made i down there earlier, as a bunch of people were already there. This was their keeper, Alex's, final year. If she got reserve keeper again she could be playing first string next year, and some people didn't make it to a first string position until sixth year. She grabbed a form and hurriedly filled it out.

Joel jogged onto the pitch, having accidentally overslept. One mark against him. He'd rather not have done that, instead getting there early to do stretches and warmups. However, he took the time to grab the form and fill it out, while trying not to look too embarrassed. Handing it back in, he then dropped into the stretches he'd done his entire life, knowing he at least had a chance at making reserve again, even if he didn't make first string.

Addie rushed across the pitch to the group of fellow Gryffindors that had already shown up. She mentally slapped herself for cutting it so close. She even noticed Alex was already there. Holy crap. I must be super late. She noticed a slightly flustered Joel. "Hey, did I miss anything?" She asked as she started filling out her own form.

Celaena got to the pitch just in time to hear Julius agreeing to be Vice Captian. Her eyes glimmered in her wish to congratulate him, but it wouldn't be appropriate. The fifth year smiled happily as she stopped near the group to fill out her form. She had a semi good chance. But who knew? She could play either position she wanted fairly well. But Alex was a shoe in for Keeper... Should she try out for Keeper anyway? Or try to go for Chaser? She hummed quietly to herself as she thought.Before finally deciding and handing them in.

Leonette smiled at Julius’ answer. Although, he wasn’t all that sure she knew he had what it took to run the team. In many ways he reminded her of her cousin David which was why she thought he’d be a good pick. “That’s great, I know the team will be in good hands with you.” She said before turning to Tanya as she raced over. “Hey, yeah I hope so anyways.” Leonette replied. Tanya was always full of spirit when it came to Quidditch and that was one of the things she loved about her friend.
Getting the last of the forms Leonette was glad about the turn out. She was hoping for some first years but she couldn’t force it. Looking over the forms sadly it looked like Beaters were pretty hard to come by for their team. Ignoring the thought Leonette looked to her housemates. “Hello everyone it’s great to have all of you here today. All of you have done this before so you should all know me by now as I was the vice-captain last year. For those that don’t remember I’m Leonette Mitchell, feel free to call me Leo. Anyways our new vice-captain is Julius Xanders.” She said before looking to Tanya. “Sorry Tanya, as much as I would have loved too we’re both graduating so it’s better this way.” She said with a smile.
“Now down to business, I would like two teams. Red Team will be as followed; Tanya, Celaena, and Joel as Chasers, Alex as Keeper, and Nina as Beater. Gold Team will be, Rosabella, Ari, and Pru as Chasers, Danica as Keeper, and Ada as Beater. For now Julius you can get some practice in, Beaters please note Julius is off limits. As for me I’ll be overseeing the game. So have fun and good luck.”She said before releasing the bludgers and the snitch along with the quaffle to start the game.

❁❀✿Tanya grinned as more and more people showed up, most of them people she knew from previous years, actually all of them were from previous years. She hoped more younger years would try-out next year after she, Leo, and Alex graduated. She stopped her stretching when Leo called them together to give them the run down of try-outs and grinned widely when she announced Julius would be their vice captain before dropping it in shock when her friend apologized for not making her VC. The heck! She hadn't even known she was in the running?! What was it this year with people trying to put her in charge of things? "Don't apologize, believe me this is sooo much better, Julius definitely deserves this!" she told her before glancing at the sixth year offering him a thumbs up. The older girl took up her broom after hearing the split teams recognizing all the names, jumped on, and flew up into the air to try and get the quaffle. She knew Rosabella was threat, as was Arianna, but she hadn't played against the quiet Irish girl for chaser so who knew what sort of strength she had lying in wait.

After filling out her form, Dani started her stretching exercises; despite her sense of the inevitable about how things would go this afternoon, she wasn't about to sluff off on her preparations for a game. Even though she would likely make Reserves again, she was only an injury, a foul, or a detention away from having to replace somebody on the team.Given they had but one other Seeker, she figured she would be behind Julius on the depth chart, like last year, though they would be very lean at the Beater position too if the turnout was any indicator.
Leo called everyone in, and split off the group into Red and Gold teams, and when this was done, Dani mounted her broomstick. 'No matter what happens, I'm going to have some fun,' she resolved to herself, as she kicked off the ground and drifted upwards. The blonde-haired Gryffindor flew a couple laps around the pitch, just to feel the breeze in her face, before taking up her station in front of the set of hoops opposite of where Alex would.

The young girl felt a rush of relief as Joel admitted she hadn't missed anything and that she obviously wasn't the last one to arrive. Addie smirked towards Joel as they were placed on separate teams. She definately wasn't going to go easy on him just because they were friends. She thought quickly about his remark. The two players that used to be beaters were the ones who graduated this year. It was quite possible for her to make first line. She shook her head slightly. "Only if I'm good enough so we'll see. Good luck!" She replied with a smile.
Addie rose into the air with her other teammates. The other teammate's beater was good and she had a solid two extra years of practice under her belt. The brunette held her bat tightly as she took aim with a bludger. She put Tanya in her sights and swung hard.
