Dani continued to diligently search for the elusive little ball, but she knew time had to be running short. It looked to her Julius was pretty intent on chasing something, though she had yet to see anything. Either he'd find the Snitch, or Toby would call tryouts to a halt, and she would run out of chances to prove she belonged on the first string.

...his hand closed on air. Narrowing his eyes at the snitch that flitted just inches from where he initially closed his fingers, Julius opened his hand and moved to make another attempt to capture the snitch.

'This isn't football, and there's no shot clock here. Just do what you're supposed to do.' As she floated above the pitch, and forced herself to maintain her search discipline, she thought she saw a faint glint of gold...

Arianna felt like kicking herself as she missed her steal from Bella. This was becoming ridiculous she had to learn how to steal the quaffle if she ever wanted to be a decent player. She watched the fifth year toss the ball towards Leo. Ari decided to try and intercept it before it got to the older chaser.

Addie swooped down with the rest of the players to enjoy some healing potion. She grimaced at the taste of it but gulped it down anyway. Soon enough new teams were divided up and there were more players. The first year was left on the gold team but she was now playing with Ronna instead of against her. The brunette was thrilled and shot the older girl a grin before setting off to play. After a few minutes things were rolling and her sister had the quaffle again. With no feelings of remorse from her last shot at her she wound up and sent bludger Ari's way.

As Dani stared hard at the glint of gold which caught her eye, she realized she finally reacquired the Snitch. 'There you are,' she thought. 'Better make the most of my chance.' Leaning forward, Dani urged her mount to greater speed before flipping herself over into a steep dive.

As Dani picked up speed, she leveled off, and continued to concentrate on seeking out the Snitch. No longer paying attention to what Julius was doing, or anything else with the game, Dani focused upon the tiny golden sphere which was flitting about in front of her.

It was amazing how fast things could change. One minute Ari was pretty stoked as she headed towards the goal with the quaffle the next second she was struck in the chest by a bludger and she lost the quaffle to Bella again. She gasped a few times trying to catch her breath. The third year glanced around looking for Ronna who was probably the one who sent a shot like that. Ari was very surprised to find her sister watching her with a smug look on her face. She was thoroughly shocked to say the least. After a few more seconds she shot back into the game. She wouldn't let a few broken ribs keep her down. She decided to try to steal back the quaffle from Bella again.
