Gikishou laughed, kissing his cheek. "Let's go home, puppy." He got in on the driver's side and smiled. "I love you." He buckled his seatbelt and shut his door, driving them home safely.

"Woof!" Kyo barked again, laughing a little bit. If he had a tail, it would have been wagging nonstop.

Once they were home, Gikishou helped him out of the truck and walked him inside. He cut up plenty of vegetables and got sound ground beef out, then made mashed potatoes. "Shepherd's pie okay?" He asked him.

Kyo nodded. "Sure, sounds good," he said. "Is there anything I can do to help? I think it's about time I try learning how to cook anyway."

He nodded. "I can teach you. Let's start with mashed potatoes." He showed him how to make it from scratch, then how to make the shepherd's pie.

Kyo had managed to learn quite quickly, though he had made a few mistakes here and there. Nonetheless, the pie was made successfully. Well, it looked edible, but they hadn't tasted it yet. For all they knew, it may be terrible.

Gikishou smiled and kissed him lightly. "Alright, let's eat." He served some for himself and for Kyo, sitting down at the table. Picking up his fork, he took a bite. "Not bad."

Kyo tried his portion. "It could have been better," he said, frowning slightly. "Maybe I messed up somewhere..."

He shook his head. "Shepherd's pie is more filling than tasty. Besides, it's not bad at all. You didn't do anything badly." He assured him.

"Are you sure?" Kyo asked hopefully yet suspiciously. "I guess I'll take your word for it. I still wonder where I made a mistake."

He shook his head. "It's fine." He told him, smiling. He took another bite, not finding anything to be 'wrong' at all. He finished his food and got up for seconds.

Kyo soon finished his food as well, and then just sat. He was at least glad his assistance didn't ruin the pie altogether. It actually wasn't as bad as he thought it would have turned out.

Gikishou finished his second helping and put the leftovers in a plastic container, then began doing the dishes. "Go ahead and relax." He told him, smiling.

"Yeah, time to relax," Kyo muttered, though more to himself. He then looked up at the ceiling. "I wonder how the fireflies are doing. I haven't seen them in a while..."
