i was reading up on some stuff and I discovered this little small detail. In some states, If you get stopped by a State trooper, and he issues you a ticket. Well if he dose not have his hat on then when you go to court for the ticket, You will get it dismissed because of the trooper being out of unifor and the ticket can not be valid. so it was like if you never got it.

Feleoness Hey Vengenence. Why don't you play the slots? It's a great place to sit and talk and laugh, all while you're pulling that arm you could be pulling someone's leg xp and winning some gold while you do it! You're going to have to go play the slots with me some day.
Miss Abigal has a point there. I wonder why or even how it is that each generation has had less chores? But for all the uninspired children, there are others, with incredible minds and the focus and determination to achieve their goals that is lacking in many adults. And that gives me hope for the future. I think we have fallen into a sand trap that is convenience. Everything is so convenient that we don't even quite know how a product gets to us. Which means that we are living further and further from the earth. I wish we could go back to a more simpler time. But on the other hand, that means that not one of us goes through life not depending on others in some way. The potential for our society is exponential. We need to work with each other more, and expect less from our government. (And then if the govt does its job, we'll really be better off!) 3nodding I'm no expert, but I think it's may largely be due to technology. Like I said, I read old stuff, and it's amazing the conveniences we have today. They haven't been around as long as it feels like they have. In the past there was no processed foods or microwaves, no washers and dryers at least not like we know them, even fridges weren't remotely the convenience they are today. We don't have to beat our rugs to clean them. etc.
Technology has been a gradual change, which is why chores become less and less. Even in the 70's they did not have our standards of conveniences. I was reading a cook book from the early 70's that urged women to just try the new processed foods out there. "They are so convenient and affordable. If prepared correctly they taste as good as home made!"

Feleoness A stunning senior moment
Apparently, a self-important college freshman attending a recent football game took it upon himself to explain to a senior citizen sitting next to him why it was impossible for the older generation to understand his generation.
'You grew up in a different world, actually an almost primitive one ', the student said, loud enough for many of those nearby to hear. The young people of today grew up with;
Television Jet planes Space travel Man walking on the moon Our space probes have visited Mars We have nuclear energy, ships and electric and hydrogen cars Cell phones Computers with light-speed processing...and more. '
After a brief silence, the senior citizen responded as follows: 'You're right, son. We didn't have those things when we were young ........so we invented them. Now, you arrogant little cuss, what are you doing for the next generation? I just heart that senior moment!

I was reading a cook book from the early 70's that urged women to just try the new processed foods out there. "They are so convenient and affordable. If prepared correctly they taste as good as home made!" And they tell us to lose weight, stay away from processed food. xd I don't know why, but it makes me laugh a little, thinking back to Thanksgiving, I was struck by... hmmm... how do I say this? Well, let's just start with, nowadays, if I make hamburger helper or pretty much cook anything on the stove, it's considered homemade, even in my head it's like "from scratch." But it's far from that. I remember Thanksgivings long ago when all the women would be in the kitchen snapping beans, peeling potatoes, chopping onions, covering a bowl with a damp cloth so the dough would rise... now that was from scratch! And this thanksgiving, the stuffing was Stove Top, the mac 'n' cheese was Kraft, the sweet potatoes came out of a can (store bought, mind you; not canned at home!)
I'm suddenly nostalgic and remembering the days of picking berries with Grandma and then spending the day in the kitchen cooking them down and pouring them into jars and sealing them for some good old fashion homemade jelly or preserves!

Well, you know Feleoness, I prefer Black Jack, I feel like I have more control over my winnings rather than leaving it to chance. They may or may not be true, but that's how I see it.
Great senior moment by the way.

Has anyone received anything of value in their daily's lately question question question They said that we would be getting things of value but I haven't gotten anything, just the same old junk. I remember when they were giving the langer dragon plushes, I paid about 6,000 for one on the marketplace when they first came out, when I finally received one in my daily's they were worth about 400, needless to say, I didn't get anything of value. I wonder how they determine who gets the good stuff and who gets the crap, I think I'm on the crap list...................... rofl rofl rofl

Faerie KatrinaZ QuietStorm XII .... the things I do for gold. redface *giggles* Yeah! blaugh sweatdrop Sounds like you're doing something you're not supposed to... @Miss Abigal: I've never gotten anything worth a few hundred gold, usually some house item that I just sell because I don't have a home. I'm just happy to get some extra gold, tokens or fish. My aquarium is filled with daily chance items and fish, I vowed not to buy anything for that aquarium. I've gotten more out of those aquariums: Satin coats, old evolving items. thousands of gold, really a good way to get gold. @MojinR: I'm almost scared to hear what....but let it out!

But I agree, the good stuff isn't good if it has too high a percentage drop. I now have 4 langer dragons because of the daily chance. I don't mind keeping one but what do I do with the other 3?
Hey I know! I'll enter an avi in the arena with this description "Ever hear of the Cat Lady? You know the one down the street with 50 cats? Well this is the Dragon Lady."
