Kitsune Bara I'm just kind of curious if anyone was ever against yaoi/shounen ai at some point. For me, kind of. sweatdrop I wasn't as much against it than I was afraid of it. I know what your probably thinking, but when I was in third grade I was browsing the web for some regular Hiei (YYH) pics to add to my Hiei folder. Then I came across this one site, and the first pic I saw was of Kurama and Hiei in bed...doing things. >.>;; Not to mention I continued scrolling down hoping to find at least one normal pic, but the rest I saw were just a ton of hardcore yaoi. I was scarred for a long time, but the scar went away after a long while. (Obviously)
But it didn't help any that I bought a Newtype magazine soon after, and it came with a free Gravtation DVD. I can't remember what made me get over it though. I know that my sister had something to do with it, but I'm just not exactly sure how.
So, was there ever a time when you were against it/it creeped you out/etc? If so, what made you get over it? i used 2 HATE yaoi, now im in love with it

Black and Blue I wasn't afraid of it, just not educated. My friends kinda shoved a book of gravi in my face and that got me started. Are just stains of love.

I don't remember when I started to like yaoi...I started RPing it a few years back, and I never really had much of a problem with it, I just didn't associate myself with it. At some point along the line, though, this one yaoi story I read ceased to be gross and suddenly became intriguing.
After that, it was hot. XDD

Uh, I can't imagine hating it. . . I mean, I came across Demon Diary, and just read it. For me, it was just another manga. But when I came across Boy Meets Boy online. . That's when I decided that I had to read as much BL as I could find (and unfortunately, I just don't know where to find the good stuff. . . feel free to pm me with hints and suggestions)
So, no. I never hated it, but I do know people that do

Well my dad's gay so I never had a problem with the gayness. It used to embarrass me to read it because... well... my town was once in the book of world records for most Christian churches. Hard to be comfortable reading yaoi when you know every one around you would kill you for it if they knew. Now I'm Pagan and I don't give a flip what any one says about it.

Never against it.. >.> I think Stephen King started my love for man/man relationships with "The Dark Tower" and Father Callahan. <3
Before that I probably never thought of it.

At one point when I was young I was very against it, then I softened up to it a little, but only to the point of toleration. My best friend had ranted to me on the phone because her cousin is gay. ^^; Then I got to the point where I liked some of it, but wasn't open about it at all. Now I love it SO MUCH, IT ISN'T EVEN FAIR. xDDD<3333
