Tezumari skipped into the academy and headed to an unused, shaded training area. Rocking back and forth, they nibbled on their bottom lip. Reaching up to their face, they ran a hand through their pink hair. Grasping their hair line, They whipped their hands away rapidly and a copy of Tezumari appeared in front of the original. As the clone turned to face the original, Tezumari licked their lips and Immediately started on training.
Tezumari focused on their clones shadow and clapped their hands before pulling it apart. The shadow contracted and expanded according to the clone's vision. The shadow soon changed shape into a cat with a large smile. The clone looked up and only to see the room had slowly descended into darkness. The shadows cast on the wall seemed to be dancing cards with pikes.
Fluttering their fingers to either side, a flock of lightning hummingbirds appeared and launched themselves towards the clone. Tezumari watched the clone flinch when they passed through. A loud tapping sound, the quiet footfalls hitting the floor seemed to come from everywhere. The clone looked up only to see Tezumari gone. Spinning around they saw Tezumari rush forward and thrust a kunai into them yet they didn't pop. The clone's vision swam as their eyes seemed to go all over the place.
What was once close seemed to be further away. The clone shook its head only for their vision to fracture. The shadows seemed to creep in on the edges of the shattered panes in their vision. Soon it had completely consumed their vision.
The clone's vision cleared and they could see Tezumari before them. They raised one hand. Tezumari moved at the same time. They tried to move forward, but suddenly stopped and feeling around found themselves trapped in an invisible box. They could see themselves trying to escape. The clone seemingly broke free and rushed to strike the original. Their hit landed causing Tezumari to collapse over in pain. The clone could feel a tapping on their shoulder only to see the original behind them.They swung again, Only to miss as Tezumari seemingly jumped back. The clone felt a finger poke them in the belly and looking down saw Tezumari had removed their gloves.
A rush as the original's hands grasped the clone by the throat. Moaning echoed in the haunting darkness as countless grotesque manifestations seemed to rise from the ground to latch onto the clone. Just as a massive dragon was about to chomp on the clone their vision cleared. Tezumari stood their waiting for the clone, tauntingly within reach. The clone puffed up their chest and charged, certain in their victory. Tezumari seemed to wave their arms to prepare another technique but, the clone drew a kunai and stabbed the original in the lungs. Gurgling filled the air as the body slumped to the floor. The body faded as a haze filled the area. Pain wracked the clone as it tried to escape.
The clone found Tezumari within the poisonous gas, Only for them to seemingly disappear amid another cloud of blue and pink smoke with sparks popping out of the top. The clone's vision blurred as a hundred kunai tore through the cloud. A single Kunai dispersing the clone. Tezumari moved over to and retrieved their blade as everything returned to normal.
Tezumari tapped the kunai against their ice blue lips while in thought, then stored it once finished. Creating a second wind clone, they sent it running off. Once it was a safe distance away, they closed their hands before rapidly spreading them, "Woosh!" a large explosion could be heard in the background. Running their hands along their legs and arms, they channeled Fuuton chakra around their limbs and practiced some basic punches and kicks, enhanced by the wind.
Choosing a seemingly random target, Tezumari launched a single bolt of lightning towards it. Several more bolts followed as the Nara channeled more chakra. Fine tuning the technique, each individual strand of energy merged into one beam that tore a hole through the target.
Tezumari slid a kunai into her hand and channeled Raiton chakra into it. Sparks seemed to burst along its edge. Tezumari threw the blade, while continuously channeling chakra to the kunai, creating an electrical tether to the kunai mid flight. Releasing the raiton techniques, they picked up the kunai stored it. Wanting to get out quickly, they channeled a large amount of chakra into their hands and threw them backwards. Zooming through the hall ways, Tezumari made it to the exit and cut off the jutsu before heading home.

Blocks B-ranked and higher defensive Jutsu from being thought about.

Requires that both hands be unclothed & upon the target to work properly. Missing one or the other will diminish this jutsu's abilities to that of a D-rank.

The reactions are psychologically inhibited and occur in the span of a few seconds, activated by both sight and touch. An opponent merely imagines themselves going through one of these reactions in quick spurts: blurred vision, delayed motor reaction, dulled sense of hearing, and trouble breathing. When used over and over again, they wear an opponent down and make other Genjutsu more invasive. The next Genjutsu, up to B-rank, is increased in effects by 1 rank on the chosen Sense.

While her day had been going quite well, the lotus was getting tired and ready to end it on a high note. Spend some time with her daughter, take a nice bath, and relax with her husband a little. Humming lightly the woman set about returning the books she had withdrawn to their shelves. She did not need them any more. However as she slid the last book into place she felt something was over her. An intense driving, yearning need. Leaning forward she gripped the bookshelf to steady herself. Without realizing that her nails had grown, long and hard into sharp claws. From the back of her throat came a guttural growl which filled the air with reverberations as her chakra shuttered and flared around her. Silver light, shot through with deep streaks of purple taint. This was no illusion, she was smart enough to know that. She knew no shinobi capable of a compulsory effect this strong..
Shoving herself off the shelf with another growl she stumbled her way to the window, and her expression changed to a look of horror. The beautiful moon which she had been named after, was crimson and bloody. So too was her reflection. Her soft emerald eyes were replaced with a bloody ringed eye. From within her breast her breaths began to come at a great heaving pace. Without desire nore direction from the woman various objects within the room began to levitate, others were sent flying across the room. As great waves of telekinetic energy poured off of the woman. She was loosing control, and quickly. Despite her best efforts to the contrary, she was loosing it. While her resolve remained as strong as ever, she thought for a moment she would be able to regroup and control it. Until the piercing howl rang within her ears...
And everything went black. Collapsing upon the floor the woman writhed in pain as the transformation took her. muscles relearning, memories which were not hers flooding in. Before the final change took her, the woman let out one final scream from her human throat. Which changed to a guttural roar calling for death, destruction and blood. Nothing mattered anymore, not herself, not her husband, not her daughter, not her village, not her friends. All that mattered was the desire to kill, to hunt. As her chakra raged around her, the woman rose to her feet and extended her left hand. As she did so the wall of the academy before her exploded outwards with a great heave. She knew not what she was doing, or where she was going, but she did know that she needed to be somewhere and she needed to feed. So she instinctively answered the call of the wolf with one of her own. Leaning forward the woman quite literally disappeared into the night...

Enter a few days after Monsoon Temple shenanigans
Joyous days. The academy was mostly untouched, and while there was still a lot to do, Kagerou had a small bit of a break, one that she decided to use to train. Her ninjutsu repertoire required expanding, and that required studying and weighing her options. With her ever present smile, Kagerou entered the emptier than normal hallways of the usual bustling center of activity.
She was back outside in a few minutes, basically record time, with a few borrowed scrolls. Though, she had only been able to rent the lower rank scrolls. Those of higher ranks were still kept in storage while the academy was cleaned up and it's standard security measures could be put into place.
Eyes already skimming through a scroll, Kagerou sat at the base of a nearby tree without much concern for her surroundings. A brief glance up that didn't catch anything in her immediate line of sight was about it. Unbeknownst to her, however, others had chosen to hang out at this tree before her.

It had been a few days since they were ordered to have stayed in doors as people outside would be busy going insane. Emiru I was among the few acadey students to have been kept away and safe out of wolfish hands. While it meant that it meant her mid day walks would be out of the question for a while, as long as she could keep a rational mind, she wouldn't be bothered by it one bit. Now several days after the fact, everyone was pleased to do as they wanted yet again. Today's little adventure would take her and her sister towards the academy grounds, more noticably near one of the trees near the entrance. Maybe today would be the day where Emiru would work up the courage to talk to somebody her own age for a change. The child sat on the side of the tree while keeping her back to it every so often, and then spending times starting at the few people that would venture near, intentionally or unintentionally.
One such person caught the girl off of surprise, a long haired blue-green woman would plop down beside the tree next to the young academt student. "G-Gah!" Emi cried out as she jumped from the shock of coming back to reality and finding somebody else invading her little privacy bubble...that took up this entire area. Once her feet were back on the ground from their little flight, she went around to the woman and bowed her head in sorrow.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to bother you here!" Her words were few but ones that were of pain.

The timid, overly apologetic voice caught Kagerou's attention, and when she lifted her scarlet eyes to see who it was, a smile on her lips as always, she found herself looking at a rather unique visage: pale skin and mismatched eyes, one with a black sclera and an iris in a shade of red that could be even deeper than her own. Certainly an easy, and charming, face to remember.
After hearing the girl's wavering voice, Kagerou's first reaction was to reassure her, "Bother me? I don't know what you're talking about?". Her voice was light, and while it wasn't overt, the subtly expressive cadence she spoke in could be described as lilting. On the other hand, the reaffirming smile she gave this new face was quite obvious. "If anything, I was the one who didn't see you." A light chuckle punctuated the though, just a short, "Mhm~". Then, to reinforce the idea that Emi had done nothing wrong, Kagerou gently asked for permission, "Do you mind if I sit here? You've picked quite the nice tree to sit under, but I wouldn't want to disturb the one who was here first."

The young student's face was turned into a constant face of pain and discomfort. Her hands were brought together as she mumbled to herself. What might the woman might have seen before her, and what would she think of such things? Her mismatched eyes winced preemptively as she rubbed her out out of habit and would frown.
"Bother me? I don't know what you're talking about?"
A likely story as any other. Emiru was as noticeable as a light in the dark. It only added to the fire that was making her act as twitchy and skittish as possible. Her odd eye would begin to tear up slightly, slightly condensing to prevent any tears from slipping out of their holding place. She would look away for a moment to not let the woman get clued in about the development and then proceed to listen to her say how she didn't notice her first. Her cheeks puffed up and Emi managed to wipe her eye of any water before looking back at her just in time for the question.
"Do you mind if I sit here? You've picked quite the nice tree to sit under, but I wouldn't want to disturb the one who was here first."
"Okay." Emiru mumbled to Kagerou and would sit down next to them albeit a bit cautiously. Her eyes wandered over to the scrolls by her and locked onto them, having taken an interest. It wouldn't be but a few seconds later that she silently got up and ran back inside of the academy building. Her feet tapped on the floor while diving into the classroom and looking around for what techniques she could try of her own accord. After a handful of scrolls was gotten without much care of what was to which style, Emi ran back outside to join the woman who was hopefully still sitting there.
"So y-you don't...look weird." She said, plopping down next to her with a bunch of scrolls of her own. "I-I know some people might not wanna be around you b-because of me. So maybe if we both look busy..."

tabHe hadn't the time to change out of his managerial attire. As a result an under or over dressed depending on when and how many times he'd been seen Tosokurui exited the facility with nine kids in tow. He didn't take notice of Kagerou or anyone else who may have been present at the current time rather he was set it seemed on getting whatever it was done. Adjusting his glasses as most of his type tend to do he'd begin reciting the lesson plan. "Now that the basics of fuuinjutsu have been covered I assume appropriately so that you've trained in honing them bloop. Today we will be putting that knowledge to practice bloop." With a rather plainly made hand sign and a deep inhale Toso would expel a statue of a laughing buddha the size of an average adult in the air as it it slammed down into the ground leaving an indentation and making a loud thump. Causing a great surprise among the students as many flinched aside from the two who looked visibly excited and the other visibly too cool to be intimidated.
Tossing what appeared to be a small scroll at the first in line who fumbled with it before getting a grip the same pitched teacher defined its purpose. "You will use this practice scroll to seal the statue. bloop. Then you will unseal the statue. bloop. Doing so without complications will lead to a passing grade bloop. Failing either however will be an immediate failure where my suggestion would be to take remedial lessons or withdraw from the class. bloop. Consider this your mid-term exam. same." Tosokurui's formerly unchanging eyes seemed to narrow and grow dark. It seemed he was capable of harsh teaching despite his plain looking exterior and generally odd reputation. "Questions?"
Raising a hand what seemed to be a shy girl would inquire. "I...isn't that a bit sudden? I mean if we knew ahead of time we would have studied a bit mo..." Toso would do something unexpected and cut the girl off with a bloop where she winced in surprise. "Bloop. Life is unexpected. The events that transpired some days ago should have made that clear bloop. One of the most important things for any shinobi is adaptability. If you cannot overcome adversity then you will be prone to becoming another dead body. bloop" It seemed delicacy was not in Toso's person today. As oppose to the usual dad vibes he gave off they were set to cranky uncle. Some of the students becoming visibly shaken at the thought of being a dead body especially with perhaps a few them having bore witness to just that those few days ago.
"Any further inquiry? bloop." the sparkly eyed girl from before cutting ahead in line and getting in senpai squids face completely unphased by his earlier statement went on to have words explode from her mouth. "omigosh are you gunna show us how you did that door thing to get here when you were almost late?! Can you just make doors anywhere?! What's it like inside?! IS THERE LIKE A MILLION DOORS IN THE DOOR THAT LEAD TO DIFFERENT PLACES ALL AROUND THE WORLD?!" a bead of sweat manifesting. "Ah...bloop. Something like that..I suppose bloop but ah let us focus on the current lesson alright Saki-nee?" "So why do you add Nee to a lot of girls names? You know I'm way younger than you. Are you a sis-con senpai?" Not answering her questions Toso silently stuck both his hands under the girls armpits lifted her off the ground like a little child where she suddenly became silent and confused and set her down back in line. "Uhhhm.." clapping his hands together now back at the statue "Alright now, Hideki your first. bloop." "R..right" unraveling the scroll the first boy in line took a deep breath and the lesson would begin. [Substitute Teacher x1]
Things seemed to have been going well the first three succeeding in the task with sighs of relief afterwards until it got to the girl whom asked the earlier question about the suddenness of the lesson. "Alright now, bloop. You need only to unseal the statue." The girl visibly distressed kept closing her eyes and in a manner that looked like desperate struggling she yielded and looked ready to cry. "Well unfortunately I have no other option but to fail you Sae-nee. Bloop." "I...I understan.." suddenly one of the boys would chime in. "NOW HOLD ON TEACH THAT AINT FAIR!" "Ah, pardon Taka? Bloop. I thought I made rather transparent earlier. bloop. If you cannot accomplish both sealing and unsealing of the statue you fail unquestionably. bloop."
"I get that...but" a clenched fist and the surprise of a girl at the boys sudden outburst in her defense. "HAVE A HEART SENPAI! SAENAE'S MOM DIED THAT NIGHT AND YOUR JUST GOING TO FAIL HER LIKE THAT! WITH WHAT SHE'S GOING THROUGH RIGHT NOW!" Toso tilted his head in sideways in response to the passionate student. He would only say one thing in the same monotonous deadpan voice he always had. "And?" "W..what?" Taka sounding confused at their sensei's response. Toso would then stand in a manner in which he seemed to be addressing the whole class. "I want to make something apparent to all of you. People die. Among those people it is Shinobi whom die the most. Saenae's mother will indeed be sorely missed and she is likely still grieving." Toso's glasses matched the wet eyes of the girl of whom he failed before looking to the rest of the class.
"However, that is no excuse to allow your skills to falter. The enemy does not care if your father died, they do not care that your grandmother is sickly, the enemy will take advantage of that state of mind and use it against you. The fact that you are here today means you chose the path of the shinobi. That path is strewn in sadness and death. Your comrades and friends today may very well be killed on the field of battle and what then will you do? Will you grieve over their corpse and die with them? Or will you take up arms swallow that sadness and aim to avenge them and live on for their sake and their memory. This was the path you yourselves decided to follow. You can abandon it now if you like and see to a safer job as a food cart owner but know that it is the shinobi who continue to walk this path, that they sacrifice themselves both physically and mentally to ensure that you're safe and alive to work that job." Toso looked at Saenae her tears more abundant than before. He would wipe them away with a pocket handkerchief. "So Sae-nee, will you use your mother's passing as an excuse to run away from this path. Or will you accept this failure and use it to strengthen your resolve to ensure what happened to her will not happen to anyone else bloop?"
The girl taking the handkerchief in her own hands wiped away her own tears and when she opened them again they would be filled with a shaky but new found determination before returning it to Toso. "I accept the failure Ika-sensei. I'll make sure...I'll make sure nobody here will ever have to die!" She looked at Taka, the one who defended her stronger than ever as if to say she would most certainly ensure out of anyone that she'd to everything in her power to prevent his death on a field of battle. "Ah Bloop, That is good to hear. Now let's continue with the lesson yes bloop?" Toso would unseal the statue himself as it re-appeared with another thump. As things ran smoothly he'd look to the side to see Saenae and Taka talking and laughing and while his face remained stagnant as ever Toso's thoughts began to wander. Do I even believe what I just said bloop? Six years in this service, nothing compared to some veterans an I have already grown so tired of what seems always be an endless struggle of power, restraint on personal freedoms, and dangerous games."I suppose for now, I'll set my focus on the future. bloop." "Sensei look out!" "Hm?"
"Blauuuuuuu!" Turning his head the Buddha statue had unsealed itself above him and having been lost in thought only until recently a loud dong and and there was a squid pancake where Toso once stood. The students gathering around the statue to see if he was alright. "So uhm did I pass?" they'd get their response after he'd get his bearings, which for now stayed flat.

As she quietly perused the scroll, trying to give Emiru the time to calm down, Kagerou could feel the incredibly timid's girl gaze on her, or more accurately, on the scrolls she held. Just as she was going to raise her hand and ask Emiru what was up, though, the younger girl took the initiative, standing up all of a sudden and then leaving before Kagerou could so much as inquire if Emiru was interested in learning something.
When the girl returned and explained herself, the only thing Kagerou could do was laugh. "Ah... please don't mind. Don't mind me at all," she said between chuckles. She knew herself how rude she must seem right now, to be laughing right in the face of someone she had just met, but at the same time, the laugh Kagerou gave was lighthearted and just about as far away from judgmental as a laugh could be. "It's okay," Kagerou assured once her giggle fit was over, and if Emiru was in reach, she'd stretch her arm out to give her an affectionate pat on the head.
There was a short pause of no more than two seconds as Kagerou softly observed Emiru, analyzing her both in the moment and using the information she had gathered during the few minutes she had been in contact with her. Kagerou genuinely didn't see why this child appeared to have such an inferiority complex, but she certainly must place some importance in whatever it is. Earlier, the tearing up had successfully been hidden from Kagerou, but that didn't mean that she couldn't get a feel for the gist of what was happening besides her, her mind piecing together the clues to fill in the blanks. If that was the case, then a stranger like her simply brushing aside Emiru's very important concerns would do more harm than good.
Instead, Kagerou talked more about herself as she gave reasons for why the strange child shouldn't need to worry about something like that. "What other people think, I think I can handle that, but thank you very much for worrying about me." There were a lot of other things Kagerou could say to comfort Emiru, but at the moment, it didn't feel like hovering over this topic would give much, if any, peace of mind. Perhaps a change in topic would be better. "Still.. you brought over all these scrolls and it'd be a waste to return them right away... If you're interested in learning from any of these, the scrolls I brought included, I can help you?".

"Ah... please don't mind. Don't mind me at all,"
The lady laughed and made the pale child frown as a result. Had she done something wrong or funny? She looked away out of discomfort and would simply bide her time until this woman would start hurling insults at her like everyone else. There she stood, Emiru just murmuring to herself just as the nice woman would reach forward and pat her head. She winced, though holding her head back and allowing whatever followed to come.
Emiru and the woman stared at one another for a bit and would immediately want to ball herself up and roll away like a hedgehog. After thirty seconds of not saying anything she broke the silence by opening with an introduction. "E-Emiru. Emi is okay though..." More silence. Emi rocked back and forth on the balls of her feet, the mismatched eyes fleeting everywhere but the woman's face. She must have look as terrified as a fish at a sushi restaurant. Some more time passed but thankfully, the woman would speak up again about what the others nearby must have thought about being near the weirdo. They were dismissed though the child had her doubts. Everyone would say the same exact thing. Emiru had gotten used to it at this point.
"If you're interested in learning from any of these, the scrolls I brought included, I can help you?"
"R-Really?" Emi asked, looking quite surprised at the offer. Although she wasn't the best with ninjutsu and genjutsu, there would still be things that she would want to work on. Maybe this person would actually help her before, y'know, feeding her to the wolves and thinking she was a freak. "O-Okay. That would be nice. I mainly do taijutsu but other stuff might help. Wh-Whatever you want..."

tabWith his collapse Toso found himself being rescued by another teacher on the premises. One whom simply lifted the Buddah statue with one hand being the physically strong individual he was. The children looking all wide eyed at their other senpai. "Oh, hey Tosokurui I saw what happened over here, you alright?" "I'm fine. Same." Standing up he would dust himself off seemingly appearing uninjured. It was times like these the pliable body he had served him well. Additionally so much so that accidents like these he'd grown accustomed to. Re-adjusting his glasses he'd sigh. "Thankbloop." to his fellow teacher and look to the students.
"So based on these results 7 out of the nine of you passed. bloop. That will conclude today's class. bloop." Turning around Toso removed his trademark brush from his back and in turn would begin to try and and start something of a drawing in the air before he was interrupted by one of the students pulling his cardigan. "Ika-sensei...what with failing and all...I was wondering. If you could let me see some of the more advanced techniques?" "That seems counter-intuitive Seto-kun. Bloop. If you can't understand the basics then advanced techniques will beyond your understanding bloop." "I..I know but. I just want to know you know! Like, if all this investment is even worth it." "Ah...if you've already started letting thoughts of 'is it worth it' sink into your head then you might as well just abandon the art of fuuin altogether. same."
Toso would continue drawing the door he was in the process of making before he stopped mid-way at the students remark. "Fine. I don't remember you being so lame Ika-sensei. Now your a tight-a** like all the other adults." His words struck a sour note with the squid. If he wanted to get his goat he succeeded in doing so. Had he really become someone who'd deny a person their curiosity? With a sigh, he conceded. Turning around he'd stop the kid who'd played him like a shamisen. "Fine. Same." Giddy with anticipation "REALLY! AWESOME!" he'd tail the squidman whom would enter the academy building once more.
Leading him to what was considered a sort of higher security room reserved for higher learning the one whom was tasked with watching said door raised a hand to halt their advance. "Tosokurui." "Suezo. He's with me." With a nod he'd allow access into the room that contained some of the highly advanced sealing methods. The Key to seal, the sealing methods used to detain the bijuu, the history of sealing in its entirety. It warmed the squids heart as the boy was enamored voicing ooos and aahs before finally coming up to his sensei and saying "Alright I think it's totally worth it!" "Oh and why is that? Bloop. "Duh because if I become a great fuuin user I can seal the tailed demons. Then I can seal one in myself and become the strongest in the village like the Kage!" Toso visibly grimaced at this reasoning he'd been given. Hopefully nothing bad would come of it but it rose a quandry. The thing he had developed a specialty for was indeed sealing and binding things...but then a moments clarity and he also realized it was also RELEASING things. "Ah, well don't get ahead of yourself okay bloop...and I'm sure you'll find being a host to demon is not all sunshine and rainbows. You should you need only ask the kages themself bloop." "Whatever Ika-sensei, one of these days I'll be the one telling you what to do." "Ah, well perhaps I should get rid of you now then to save me the trouble." With his exit and the boys fleeing Toso would look down relieved that things could return to his own pace but it was then he was approached by an anbu-operative who would provide him a manilla folder and whisper something. "Let's see..." Kagerou mused to herself aloud while also talking to Emi, "Taijutsu isn't my strong point, but I know the fundamentals enough to give some pointers." She stood up, walked a little bit away from the tree, and then turned around. There was a random compliment, "By the way, Emi is a very pretty name," but immediately following that, she explained what she wanted, "How about we leave the scrolls aside for a bit, and work on some basic martial arts?". Standing there so primly, with hands clasped neatly in the front and legs held properly together, Kagerou looked nothing like a formless fighting instructor. However, she continued forwards smoothly without a single stutter. "There are too many different styles of formless fighting to name, but they can be gathered into a few broad categories: soft physical, hard physical, soft mental, hard mental, projectile weapons, small weapons, medium weapons, large weapons, and strange weapons. There are many broad theories on the strengths, weaknesses, and optimal combinations of each of these categories, but we'll leave that for later. For now, let's just learn about each of them." Fast was about the only way to describe Kagerou's teaching method. She spoke like a teacher would, but, most likely because of how quickly she learned when she was Emi's age, she never paused to give time for Emi to catch up or checked for understanding throughout her entire explanation of the foundation for each category. At the end of it all, ending with a particularly harrowing extended definition of the vast strange weapons category, Kagerou simply smiled as she always did and obliviously asked, "Did you get all of that?".

Emiru went into listening mode as the self appointed teacher stood up from her seat and began her lesson by flattering the young student. The already prevalent blush on the girl's face only deepened from her words. The harsh contrast from her pale skin to the red blush only caused it to be even more noticeable. The Kagerou explained the basic premises of taijutsu and quickly belted out the different formless styles in great succession. The sheer amount had caused Emiru's head to spin. Something about soft and hard phsyicals and then mentals...something about a projectile? It wasn't until that Kagerou stopped to let Emi digest that she would snap back into reality.
"Did you get all of that?"
"Uhhh..." Emi began, her brain racking up what had previously been explained. It was clear that it had overwhelmed her yet she played it off by just nodding her head silently. "Y-Yeah..."

Kagerou didn't know what she did wrong, but she knew from just looking at Emi's face that the person she was trying to help hadn't been helped at all. "Um..." In turn, the composed medic looked lost on what to do next. She only knew to teach as she had been taught, but she had the sense to realize that simply repeating this step would only lead in circles. Since it had come down to this, then she could only move to the next step. For her, that next step was straight into the practical application of everything Emi had learned, or should have learned.
Before anything, though, Kagerou wanted to release some of the tension Emi was showing. "It's okay if you don't get it right away," she assured honestly. Kagerou only looked lost earlier because of her own shortcomings, not Emi's. Hopefully, Emi wouldn't misunderstand now that Kagerou had said this. "I believe in you. You'll get what you need to get in due time. For now... Would you like to maybe try learning with your body?" Kagerou gestured to herself, and rather unintentionally, smiled deceptively harmlessly. "Come at me with whatever you did understand. Maybe that will help you figure out the rest, and this way, I'll also figure out how to better explain to you. Again, this is just an introduction, so don't be too discouraged if you fall. Just pick yourself up and try again until you get it."

A silence rang between the two as the mismatched eyed student peered at Kagerou, afraid to admit that she had no idea what she had been told. Just as clueless as a lovestricken toad. Internally she was stressing about whether or not that this was some kind of test devised for her by some of the teachers here. Her hands would move to her chest and just frown. She had messed up somehow, she was sure of it! "Sorry!" Emi spoke while wincing. "It's all my fault. I'm sorry."
"It's okay if you don't get it right away...Come at me with whatever you did understand."
Emiru would hesitate at the command but she did tell her to do so. She let out a whimper before just running at Kagerou with a frenzy of punches. They had no kind of practice and discipline, only really meeting her elbow or blocked with a simple movement. Kagerou looked fairly content during all of this, the child's punches landed out until she became tired and they had a minute to chat. [Learned: Hard Physical (Rank E)]
The next task was for Emi to try and dodge her attacks as opposed to just simply blocking. This exercise was a bit for natural for the child. The size difference between the two made it easier for Emi to dodge attacks due to Kagerou requiring more of an effort to strike at her. She took a few shots here and there but would dodge a good amount until she had the feel of things. [Learned: Soft Physical (Rank E)]
Emi then would drop to her knees and watch Kagerou perform a series of strikes in succession of one another. While observing the older woman, the other would watch and take in smaller details. How she moved her legs, the way Kagerou used her arms to strike. This continued for only a few moments before she was asked to copy the technique. Emiru stood and then used this knowledge to copy Kagerou's movements...for the most part anyway. [Learned: Soft Mental (Rank E)]
Again, she was asked to watch and copy, this time a much more complex technique. This time, she did a complex array of kicks, punches and quick movements. When it came time for her to copy them, she had much more trouble and even had to observe them a few more times. Each time it was performed, Emiru would feel a greater understanding towards it. Next lesson was with projectiles, Emiru being loaned a kunai from Kagerou. She was instructed on different ways to throw it while Emi had managed to almost cut her cheek while spinning it on one hand. They paid a visit to a target within range and then threw it underhand, to the side, and even how to slightly curve it. Feeling a little more confident about her training, she gave a small smile to Kagerou, the first in a while. [Learned: Projectile (Rank E)]
Emiru was next handed a set of tonfas by Kagerou and then ordered to hit with it. She was shown how to do so and was a bit flimsy at first but soon got the hang of it. It was weird holding onto something like this and hitting, at least compared to other weapons. After a few whacks to a sandbag with the weapons, she was ordered to switch to a more heavier one and move on. [Learned: Small Weaponry (Rank E)]
Emi collected a sword and would soon go through the same steps as before in using it against a dummy and them Kagerou herself. the weight difference had given her a bit of trouble but soon enough she had learned how to attack and strike. Maybe those bones from her....No, that would be much too silly. [Learned: Medium Weaponry (Rank E)]
Finally, Kagerou set a Pu Dao in the child's hands and almost toppled her over. After prying herself from the ground, they began their training with this. Emiru had a fairly difficult time using this due to its weight and balance at first. She almost broke a window and stabbed Kagerou a few times but soon would feel second nature to her. After she set the weapon down, Emi would plop to the ground, exhausted. [Learned: Large Weaponry (Rank E)]
"A-Ah. that was a lot of work." She said, wiping her forehead of sweat. "D-Did I do okay?"
