Kelebek pursed her lips and moved them to one side and then the other, considering the drink in her hands. It was rather good, and she liked the way it made her cheeks warm and her nose tingle. "I'm not quire sure what it is, exactly, but I think I like it." She took another sip. She wasn't sure why she never trusted these land-dweller drinks or parties. Nothing bad had happened since the first one, after all.

"What've you got?" Kelebek asked, leaning over toward him rather precariously.

I'm so sorry. I go where they lead ..

Pel screamed with unbound happiness until he got hit with a mouth full of orange deliciousness that stole his breath as he tried to inhale it.

Sitting upright, he coughed and sputtered and spit out the mouthful of cheese he had inadvertently taken on when he landed his hair brained tackle.

When he finally swiped the cheese off his face, he laughed. He had caught him. He had finally caught him!!!

Now what was he sposed to do?

He had never actually caught Pothos before. He paused to think about this....

No. He had chased him. He had stalked him. Tried to seduce him with song. Tried to wrassle him. He had done everything he could think if to get the blue god within his grasp and he had always failed.

He turned toward the object of his thoughts as he licked the cheese off his lips. He was always so pretty. So beautiful. His hair the perfect twist of black curls. His skin like storms on canvas. His little knight in shining armor. And he finally had him. Now what?!

His head was turning fuzzy and thoughts were dipping to things that had nothing to do with the event. He loved this man. More than he would ever admit. More than he would ever tell anyone. This man was his sole reason for existence. And he finally had him.

Sliding closer toward the azure scaredy cat, he reached out very slowly and took the hand away from Pothos mouth. And with his eyes on him, he slowly placed a kiss upon his deity's palm.

His cheeks burned as the cheese began to take it's full effect. Now he was determined to have a single party for two. He just had to convince the cerulean angel to agree.

"I am not stupid. I know you don't feel the same about me, my love. It's the chase that gets me. Every time. I love the way you run. I can't help myself. My father is part shark. It's in my very nature. . . "

He paused to stare at the deities hand, noticing the fine cracks and dimples from goddess knows what that showed so clearly in the cheesy residue of the fountain.

It tightened things that probably shouldn't be tightening right now, but by the gods themselves, he couldn't help himself. This man was his sun and moon. His night sky. And it was about time he finally got what HE wanted, for once in his poor pitiful life. He knew others pitied his love. As he stared at the other's hand, it struck him. The irony of loving a god who sole purpose was to create unfulfilled longing in others.

"But for just one night, couldn't you just pretend? For all the years I've chased you? For all the times you've narrowly escaped me? Would one night really be so bad? Am I really so bad?"

Pel had no clue where those words welled up from. He bit his lip in embarrassment and turned back toward his single and sole fantasy that always made him feel alive.
The very man that gave his life purpose. His eyes watered a touch as a combination of tears and cheese began to sting at his eyes.

Cheeks red, and eyes glazing over from the fountain's effect, he asked,

"....Would one night really be so bad...?"

Everything inside Potho's head screamed run. Screamed 'NO no no no no'. Screamed 'You don't understand! One night would only make it worse!'

And yet. He couldn't move.

Something about the sincerity in the other's eyes kept him glued to the spot. His heart felt words that actually managed to tug at the god of longing's heart strings. He didn't understand. He truly didn't. But he was close. But still...

"I.... i...." Pothos could only stutter as he found himself licking more cheese of his finger like some weird cat man. Damn it Himeros! Why the hell a fountain of cheese! AND WHY THE HELL WAS IT SPIKED?! HE WAS FEELING THINGS HE KNEW HE SHOULDN'T BE AND IT WAS ALL THE ORANGE TWINS FAULT.

Cursing mentally, Pothos turned his head away and sighed. Every fiber of his being tensed up as he finally parted his lips to speak. "No." his voice was firm, clear.

"No."

He repeated again, fighting the feelings welling up inside him as he held out a hand towards the mortal.

"No. No. No. No. No." he repeated like a broken record.

And then something flipped. A sort of haze fell over his features, his eyes, his mind.

Reaching out, Pothos took Pel's face in his heads and whispered closely to his ear. "No, one night wouldn't be so bad."

Kel had obviously forgotten what had happened at last year's party; silly fish.

Hjortur had leaned a bit closer to better hear her commentary over the loud droning of the

"Oh this is..." his words cut off as an accident happened in one of the fountains near them. He blinked, mouth slightly agape, as he was took in by the scene. He took a single dreg of the soda without saying a word, thoroughly taken aback by the live entertainment just metres away from them. Looking to the side, he attempted to exchange glances with Kelebek before being drawn back to the goopy pair due to a very loud scream. Again he looked back at her, his eyebrows shot up before motioning back to the water with his eyes and reaching to take her hand. He hoped they could hold hands as they walked away, if only to make sure they weren't separated in the crowd.

Looked like the pair were in quite the ... sticky ... situation for now. Best leave them be.

Kelebek could only stare, wide-eyed, at the scene before them. She was even more glad she hadn't ventured near the fountain of goo that now covered the pair of land Pae. Her scales itched just thinking about it.

She caught Hjortur's glance, and his suggestion to move back to the water. She nodded emphatically, then finished her drink (as the liquid-in-a-glass format certainly wouldn't work underwater) and left the empty glass on a tray held by a cherub. She wasn't certain how the tiny fairy was able to hold the tray and the glass, but she preferred not to think about it too hard. Kelebek coughed slightly as the air became bitter in her lungs. She nodded again and took Hjortur's arm again, now feeling even more unsteady on her feet.

By the time they'd reached the aquarium again, Kelebek was feeling really great but barely able to put one foot in front of the other. She giggled and cuddled into Hjortur's side, leaning on him much more heavily than she'd intended. "Sorry I'm such a mess," she bubbled. "I'll be better once we're back underwater," she assured him with a sage nod.

Oh yeah, they had been having a competition to see which drink was the best, hadn't they. "Mmmmmm, I think you'd really like this fuzzy juice, Soli." Remy bragged, certain he had found the winner. He was still bouncing ever so slightly on the tip of his feet.

"Yes, outside! Of course!" His mind was racing a mile a minute from one thing to the next. "Dancing would be perfect!" He was certain that was just what he needed. Although his current idea of dancing was very fast paced. Hopefully Soliel hadn't been planning on a romantic slow dance. Remy paused on the bouncing for a moment in order to quickly stretch his muscles before darting towards the door, taking Soliel's hand with him.

Contently, Lillibeth cooed at him when he touched her cheek. Alchol promised her no pain, dousing discomforts with apathy. Instead, it was his words those little compliments to light up her moment. Chemicals danced in her brain bringing up giggles and sloppy smiles.

"I like flowerss" Whispering to him in one conspiratorial tone, she told him a secret, "Aways lookin for flowersss, make me think of you and smile. Find you sometimes, good days." Eyes darted this way and that ever unfocused as her secret was told. "Shhhhhh, don tell. secret." Heedless to the world around them, one drunk harpy happily nuzzled up against her gnome and went along for the ride. Didn't matter where he was taking her liqued happiness took her along with the flow.

Leiroy admired her as she fussed momentarily over her own clothing, and then agreed with her suggestion. He did like food.

A small frown creased his face when his date paused, and he wondered for a moment if she was looking to dance... Wonder if she knows how to two-step? he mused to himself, then mentally chuckled as she moved again towards the tables. "I do love me some food, darlin~" He surveyed the options, started to reach for a juicy looking berry, and found himself instead staring at one between her little fingertips as she held it up to him. This time he chuckled outwardly, grinned at her, and ever so gently accepted her offer. "Mmm... sweet as sugah~" He licked his lips a little, a sly twinkle in his eyes as he gazed back into hers... But what was it that distracted her?

He turned slightly to follow her glance, curious as to what caused her new expression, and grinned again when he saw the culprit. "Cheezy!" Letting out a little laugh, he took her by the hand and tugged her that way. "Well come on now, let's go get ya somethin' 'radical', my deer~"

On the way to the cheeze fountain, a sparkling soda one caught his own eye... Pausing just for a moment, he grabbed a cup to satisfy his thirst~

Haku's blush deepened as she spilled secrets. He almost dropped her from shock. His little drunken pheonix thought about him. He knew he wasn't sposed to think like that. He also knew why. They weren't even supposed to be talking, let alone sharing a romantic evening at Venus's parties. But that was neither here, nor there.

Somewhere in the recesses of his mind, Haku rejoiced in having dirt on the golden pheasant. But in the foreground, his mind was befuddled with the thought of flowers and champions and being the best thing that ever happened to this beautiful little bird.

Which meant returning secrets. "Sometimes, I go far beyond the Tree in search of plants with the hope of you finding me." There. That was nice. And also weirdly true. Why didn't that freak him out? That should freak him out...

He turned to look down at his sleepy songbird as he walked. "And you remind me of spring." He blurted out happily.

Why couldn't he stop his mouth?! It was like it had taken on a mind of it's own!! Turning into the main buffet room, he set her gently down on a chair and patted her pretty head.

"I'ma get you some snacks. Stay here, OK my little daffodil? I shall return." He whispered. Then inwardly cringed just a bit. His mouth was being a little sappy. Even if it rang with truth.

Maybe he should get himself something to eat. He had heard you weren't yourself when you were hungry. Maybe he was just hungry.

Tree Hugger chuckled as he brought her back to reality and she smiled her lazy usual smile, though this time there was a little bit extra to it. "I am, like, sooo stoked you agreed to come with me. Its like, totally radical." she smiled, looping her arm around his as he escorted her over towards the cheese fountain.

She was briefly distracted as he stopped to grab a cup and tip its contents down his throat until a flash of blue and yelling drew her gaze back towards the cheese fountain.

"Oh my..." she gasped as she watched a blue winged figure tackle another blue winged figure into the fountain. After that some heart felt feelings were shared, a kiss upon a hand and a face cupping. The faunie could only tilt her head and watch curiously as it all happened, unsure if this offset her chakras or tugged at her core. "It seems somepae else have beat us here." she mused, reaching down to smear a blob of cheese of her dress that had been launched during the glorious tackle.

As she lifted a finger to lift it off she turned to look at her stallion date and felt her cheeks flush hot.

What was this feeling suddenly washing over her?

What was in the cheese besides bodies??

Sorry I'm such a failure |D;;;

Arc was...well, he was kind of not looking forward to this trip. Well, he was going to enjoy the time spent with Lynn but he wasn't so sure about being here to pick up girls anymore. His feelings where the other male was concerned had been confused for a long time now, but he was beginning to feel jealous when he thought about Lynn with girls. But he didn't want to broach the subject with his best friend in case Lynn didn't feel the same. Arc didn't want to lose his best friend, especially not because of feelings he wasn't even a hundred percent sure about.

He laughed softly when Lynn elbowed him. "I don't know," he responded with a shrug. "The fountains look like fun, though. We should try all of them at least once, you think?" He couldn't help but smile at Lynn, a laugh bubbling out of him. "Hamster races? We can't miss that," he said with a giggle.

PostPosted: Thu Feb 15, 2018 8:47 pm
Lyn laughed and reached up to ruffle his friends hair. "Sure man, we can check out the fountains." he mused as he wandered up to the first fountain which seemed to be just an ordinary every day average water fountain. "Hmmm..... doesn't seem too exciting compared to the others around here..." Lynn said, reaching down to dip his finger into the waters first.

Sure felt like regular water. He was sure he could even see some coins down in the bottom on one side. But still, knowing Lyn, he was going to do something ridiculous. Cupping his hands he dipped them into the water, lowered his head and took a sip.

Sitting back up, eyes crunched and nose quirked, he glanced over at his friend. "Ah..yup. Tastes like regular boring water!" he laughed before flinging his hands as if to dry them and glance around. He noticed commotion over by the cheese fountain and made a face at the two inside the fountain. Apparently cheese was for swimming in now? "Ehhhh..... lets avoid that one shall we? Maybe check out them sweet sweet hamster races?" he laughed once more. "Or the night club...maybe some...eh...babes...will be...there?" he paused again, his words trailing off as he stared at his best friend who he sorta, kinda, most actually definitely wished was more than just a friend.

But how did he even go about that??

Wasn't this party supposed to help that??

Or had Lynn got himself in over his head again? Probably that last one...yeah...

Arc could feel a blush coloring his cheeks as Lynn ruffled his hair and found himself wishing Lynn would do more than just ruffle his hair. Fighting a sigh, he followed Lynn to the first fountain which did, in fact, look like plain water. Boring, but he supposed it would be a good option in place of wine or champagne. Best he didn't get drunk, probably. No telling what would come out of his mouth if he did.

"At least there's something other than alcohol to drink," he said with a shrug. There were teenagers here, after all. And weird things happened at Venus's parties. He was about to caution his friend when Lynn went ahead and took a drink. He watched in case the water was spiked with something but Lynn seemed to be just fine. With a shrug, Arc bent to take a sip for himself. "You're right," he said with a nod and took another sip before straightening.

"Hamster races, definitely," he said and smiled. "Maybe we could go to the night club later. I'm curious about these hamster races." He totally wasn't trying to put off the night club as long as possible, nope. Not at all. Though unless he was mistaken, it didn't seem like Lynn was as keen to go as he had once been. Maybe...

Nope. Don't even go there.

"I've good eyes to find goo!" Nothing went further than the fuzzy warm blanket of intoxication, this bit of information possibly stored away for a rainy day. Slowness of everything fascinated distracted from how uncomfortably hot she was.

The desire to take off cloths pulled so strongly that at the moment, the harpy wasn't sure if she was or wasn't wearing anything. She wasn't but that didn't stop anything.

"I love spring, and fall.." Great times with changes in the leaves new life then it fades beautifully. There was a lovely hand gesture to follow, only her hands seemed preoccupy holding on. Clearly they knew what they were doing.

Placed in a seat was new, swaying sadly was not. Best solution was to slouch back in the chair decidedly not elegant or very lady like. Agreeably, she remarked okay, "Okay, maple leaf!" Wait there, that wasn't hard in the least. It took less time then it would take him to turn around for her to forget exactly why she was supposed to stay seated.

Hymn looked pleased at the mention of the swan sanctuary, “That’s wonderful to hear! Make sure you give yourself a chance to have some fun as well.” He winked, slapping him on the back playfully. “I’d love to come see how it’s going, if you’ll have me.”

“As lovely as this place is, your grandmother would have my skin if I left Dolander. We have jobs she’s gotta make sure we keep up with.” He grinned like a school boy, teasing his mother despite her inability to hear their conversation. He actually enjoyed his work. He wouldn’t give up the chance to wed a pair and help create the bond of commitment for anything.

“In the very least you answered the call to come and help. That’s a good thing in of itself. You’re considered dependable and your integrity is important above all else.” The serious manner in which he spoke came on suddenly, but was replaced quickly when a young Fauny appeared at his side. “Ah there you are.”

“Lannister, these are your younger brothers- Dovesong and Soaring Hope.” He smirked slightly to himself at the names. The Fauny had an interesting naming style, but they were incredibly fitting of the pair and what they stood for. He’d admired Fluttershy for this.

“Boys, if you remember me telling you about him, this is Lannister. You all could learn a lot from him so I’d like you to take some time to get to know him after the party ends. You all should meet up and check out his swan sanctuary. Knowing your older brother it’s pretty impressive.”

“I hate to cut this introduction short, but I have to get the boys to their own duties.” He said, looking towards Lannister, “Again, thanks for your help tonight.” He then turned back towards the twins, “Alright, time for your surprise job for tonight.” He motioned for them to follow him.

Dovesong easily by passed his twin, heading towards their Dad. Sora quickly fell back behind the other, coming up slowly and shielding himself with his brother’s body. At the introduction, Sora brought up a hand in greeting before looking quickly away from the other. It felt like his limbs would shake right off of his body! What was he suppose to do or say!?

The mention of a swan sanctuary caused his ears to perk though,“Y-you like swans?” He asked softly, the words easily getting lost over the commotion around them. His eyes were huge and shining with anticipation. Perhaps this guy wasn’t so bad after all! Man, he’d much rather be at home surrounded by swans than here…

He looked between Lannister and his Dad turning to walk away. He quickly lifted a hand again to wave goodbye before scarring off after Hymn. He didn’t want to get lost in this mess. He only looked back to make sure his brother was coming along.

For Lannister. Sorry if it seems rushed, gotta get the boys to their duty! But Sora is already impressed with Lannister XD The kid loves him some animals!

Ok since when did crowds bother him? He felt his chest tighten as he separated from his brother and friend. Normally they didn’t, but the thought of what could happen at one of these parties was paralyzing. Not so much for himself, but for the rainbow-colored beauty that he’d chased after-

His head tilted up at the sound of his brother's voice and the swish of his hair. It brought some relief. He took to the air after him, “Hey now! I worked hard on this look!” He patted his hair making sure every tendril was back in place, looking madly around into the crowd.

“Arelle!” He called. He thought he was about to be sick- oh please don’t let this be another Adonis moment. His grandma would kill him too if anything happened to Arelle…

She heard her name just as the soda glass was touching her lips. She lowered it looking towards the direction he’d heard it. The twins were flying a ways away from her. Guess she’d given them the slip too! She pushed towards the fountain and took a step up onto it so she’d have enough space to open up her own wings.

“Hey guys!” She said cheerfully as she flew up to them, “They have a ton of different fountains with all sorts of drinks. It’s amazing!” She frowned, “Oh, sorry, I didn’t get you any.”

Amatus had to hold back throwing himself at the female in relief. She was ok! “We’re getting out of here. It’s way too crowded.” He motioned with his head the same direction his brother had moments ago. “Seems like we have other places we can go. Lets get out of here.” He held his arm out to Arelle as a means to escort her. “Shall we?”

Arelle laughed and took his arm, but not before slipping her other one through Erasmus’ as well being careful to not spill her drink, “We shall!”
