If her blood wasn't already heated, then the devilish smirk that Himeros gave Lemon Hearts may have turned up the flames a few degrees. Heh, I still got it... he thought to himself, noting the drastic change his mere touch and voice had had on the poor fauny. Though he felt the irresistible draw as well, he was more used to dealing with it on a daily basis. He wouldn't deny her forever...but he wasn't ready to give in just yet either. A touch of mischief in his expression, he pretended to play dumb, commenting, "Well, if you're hungry, there's always the buffet over there, full of all kinds of delectable treats..."
Her growled response sent chills up even his spine.
As much as he wanted to give in and satisfy both their urges right here on the bar, he resisted the temptation. No, just a bit more teasing...he'd make it all worth it in the end after he had his fun.
With a wink and a swift kiss, he pulled away from the fauny again, immediately turning to take another drink order. He managed to do this for a couple more patrons, even pouring a drink for a green Naiad gentleman who seemed rather upset at the moment. He offered the drink with a smile, commenting, "Cheer up, buddy. I'm sure everything isn't as bad as it seems right now. Have a drink and try to have a good time."
While others were distracted by their drinks, he fired off a couple more quick shots from his bow. Should keep his presence from being missed. He couldn't have missed the outburst from Pothos if he had tried, however. Cringing, he poured something special for his brother, turning and pushing the drink into his hands while looking up at the stage and shaking his head. Yeah, he'd seen enough to have some sense of why his brother had been avoiding the odd blue Pae for this entire trip. "Look...try not to let it get to you, bro. Remember, in the end, it's just some mortal...nothing too serious. Right? Been through much worse and come out alright." Offering a reassuring smile to his twin before turning back, he could practically feel Lemon Hearts' eyes burning a hole through him.
He'd had his fun.
Well, of one kind. Now time for the other.
Grinning and setting out a couple bottles on the counter and a few clean shot glasses, he announced, "Bartender on break! You kids behave for a bit!"
He then swept smoothly from behind the bar and behind Lemon Hearts. Though the fauny females tended to be rather solid, he seemed to lift her from the bar stool effortlessly. "Your place it is, my dear," he purred in her ear, his voice dropping to a whisper. "Perhaps just a taste now to sate that hunger...could always enjoy the full course meal later when I'm off duty..." He relished the sensation of her warm, curvaceous form pressed against his as he moved to lead her out of the dance hall.

[CURRENT ARROW EFFECT: Lannister (Serenade) + Mnemo (KISS) @ Hatil ] Valko was pleasantly surprised when she offered him one of her snacks. He supposed a trade was fair though, food for food. He licked his lips eagerly as he reached out to take the offered treat from her. While devouring the yummy egg snack he suddenly felt a bug bit him on the shoulder, the teen swatted the area without taking his eyes off his food.
Looking back at Hatil he intended to thank her for the snack when he suddenly felt the urge to serenade the girl. His eyes quickly flicked around the room, spotting one of the cherubs from the “Cupid String Quartet” holding an instrument, the teen uncharacteristically left his food unattended to head over to the band and grab the closest instrument from the cherub and dart back to the table.
Kneeling down next to Hatil, he began to play the Violin he had stolen borrowed. Having never attempted to play an instrument before the resulting “serenade” had an awful screechy quality to it. While he was busy serenading Hatil with his horrible attempt at playing the violin another ‘bug’ bit Valko. A new sensation seemed to flood over him, she was rather cute, and she had shared food with him! He wasn’t sure how to act with this new found desire to kiss his fellow food hoarder. Taking a page from his mother’s book, he decided to be a bit reckless and just go for it. Standing up he awkwardly attempted to kiss Hatil.

This had been a very strange trip so far. Zombie deity and yoga had been the top of the list, but there was certainly plenty of weird things going on here. Cue this fancy party, already in full swing with its share of Pae behaving oddly. Still hoping for some sort of answers, the twins had decided to make an appearance, keeping the gilded bows and quivers of arrows on them at all times. Erasmus had been wary of the idea of just...firing arrows at Pae. Who wouldn't? Despite the letter stating that no one else would feel or even see the arrows, common sense told him that it wasn't right to be firing the weapon at random strangers. Or people he knew, of course.
Also, what was the point of this, exactly?
Biting his lip thoughtfully, Erasmus reached up to run his fingers through his tousled, curly locks, which had been washed and brushed so that they shone even more than usual. It was a gesture to hide his anxiety. Okay, they were here for answers. If that meant following the instructions of some strange letter left in their fancy room that had been reserved for them on a massive luxury cruise ship...
His thoughts were interrupted by the realization that his brother had just drawn and let one of his arrows fly into the party.
Well, he wasn't about to let his twin have all the fun.
With a skilled flourish, he whirled the bow free from his shoulder, drawing the string taut and staring down the line of the feathered arrow. Well, time to find out what these were supposed to do.

Thulani could not have imagined a more perfect evening had he consciously tried. Somehow, it was all coming together: the lighting, the music, and the warmth of the one he held so close. He could feel her hot breath though the folds of his shirts fabric, and he had to focus to keep themselves moving. Oh how he simply wanted to embrace her and tell her everything! Sweet words of devotion towards his love~ "I rather like it too." Thank you mom and pops.
At her confession, his steps faltered just a bit as he processed what he'd just heard. She... loved him? His sweet, his divine angel... loved him too? Oh blessings to the Guardians and to Venus too! Stopping, he pulled her closer in an intimate embrace. Firm, yet with all the tenderness she'd expect of him.

Funny little bugs that make you want to dance. Or ... other ... things. I'm trying to find one."

Hatil was happy that he had accepted the trade, a mutual friendship seeming to form. A friendship defined by food, the occasional sharing of it, and little words. Looking up, she intended to ask about another item when she notice him get up and leave: odd. Shrugging to herself, she instead reached down to plop another piece of turkey (or three) into her mouth and look around the room, her claws kicking below her to the music. It looked like things were starting to get pretty interesting out there!
But not as interesting as back here. Valko was back, and with him a violin. Grinning, Hatil put her palms in her lap and leaned forward to see what was going to happen next. Unlike the others around them who showed clear disdain, the harpy was simply happy by the action and the implied serenade; how sweet of him! As he finished, she raised her hands to enthusiastically clap them together.
Being the ever smart harpy she is, as he came up to her with pursed lips, she took that cue to mean something else. Grinning, she grabbed a strawberry from her pile and placed it, stem side out, into his lips. She then got one for herself and plopped it into her mouth. "Where'd ya find that?" she motioned to the violin.

A confused look was in her eyes at Bastet glanced up from Navidad, wondering why she had tackled this pae. "I'm sorry." She said with a hint of uncertainty in her voice. Once again, she got off of Navidad. This time, she stood up and dusted herself off before offering a hand to help the stranger up. "I really have no idea what came over me." she scratched behind her ear, something she did when she was uncomfortable.
What a strange night this has turned out to be, maybe she hadn't fully recovered from the previous night's alcohol.
Lannister looked at the mark on Abby's face again. "That looks it really hurt." He said, feeling bad for her. The tingling in his arm had already subsided. He probably would have been more upset that she had caused him to loose another arrow if it wasn't for the fact that she was hurt.
He looked at her holding the bow and arrow, it was all the same to him, but he had already tried and failed to convince her of that. He watched as the arrow struck a feline pae who had been getting a little personal with another pae. "Hey, I think something is happening." Lannister said, watching things unfold. "Although... I'm not sure what." He was certain her arrow had caused something though.

Pearl was simultaneously too wrapped up in her own emotions to notice subtle changes in his behavior and also acutely aware of his body so tantalizingly close to hers. What is this that she was feeling? Autumn was her friend. She wanted to race through the seaweed garden like they always used to, but also just....look at his face forever. Run her hands through her hair. Twine their tails together...
Color and heat rose to her cheeks.
And now Autumn had a strange look in his eyes. His hands were on either side of her face. Pearl was terrified and also never wanted this to stop. And then their lips met.

She let out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding, and her eyelashes fluttered. She thought she might swoon. He was so soft, and so gentle! Everything she'd dreamed her first kiss would be! And now he was coming back for another!--

She touched her lips where they had met with her fingertips. He was sorry? Not if she had anything to say about it! Pearl zipped over to the fountain and crashed into Autumn, sending them both into the water with a splash. "You can't just leave a girl hanging like that," she said with false reprimand, then grinned and touched her forehead to his. She'd never felt so connected to anyone in her life!
"Bugs?" Seneca's brow raised slightly. Bugs...? Did this one mean the arrows?
As if to process the question, she turned her gaze to the crowd, looking around at all the arrows currently loose and flying. She quickly noted the reactions and easily managed to put two and two together. Of course it was the arrows. They were such a common thing for her to see that she somehow forgot that the mortals were incapable of seeing them.
She giggled slightly at the realization. "Oh! Do you mean the Love Bugs?" she asked, resulting to her new nickname for the arrows. "I don't know that I would call them special, per se." she then continued, lowering the tray to rest against her hip a bit. "They're pretty common. But they tend to fly in more heavily populated areas. Parties such as these are perfect for their... eh... tastes?" She tapped her chin. Yes. That was the correct term. Satisfied, she then smiled sweetly.
"I wouldn't worry too much on it though. They're perfectly harmless and eager to spread love and joy to those they come in contact with."
Feeling rather content with her response, she tilted her head softly. "Was there anything else you'd like to inquire of? Or, if you like, I can fetch you another drink..." she offered, now noting that her tray was supporting empty glasses.

[Adelphos Current Arrow Effect: Anteros' True Love Arrow; Target: Ruby] Adelphos had told himself he would only wear the bow and quiver because he had been asked to do. He had told himself he would not be using these arrows. At all. He wouldn't be like the rest of his aunts and uncles who shot other pae willy-nilly. Except there was a burning curiousity to know what these arrows would do. "I'll be back in just a moment," he assured Ruby with a smile and a soft kiss. Stepping away to somewhere that was at least a little inconspicuous, he drew an arrow from his quiver and shot it into the crowd. He told himself he would keep an eye on the pae that he hit, wondering what the effect of his arrows were. To give a reason for his sudden disappearance, Adelphos made a trip to the refreshments table and brought back two delicate flutes of champagne and a small plate with a couple chocolate covered strawberries for himself and Ruby.
He felt the tell-tale p***k of an arrow and had a moment to wonder who could possibly be sending an arrow his way when he turned toward Ruby. The mother of his children and in that moment, he just knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Not that he hadn't already had strong feelings for her, that she didn't mean the world to him. But until then, he hadn't come to the conclusion that he was absolutely, 100%, positively in love with her. He gave her a smile as he handed her one of the champagne flutes. "I love you," he told her.

Yukiko was ecstatic. She had expected to have a good time during the cruise, but this...this was perfect. Anteros had his duties during the day, of course, but nights belonged to them. The flowers he had left her were beautiful, and his note had made her heart ache with the force of her emotion. Of course she had moved her things to his room, and was quite happy to do so. The smaller perk of this was that now their granddaughters would not be sleeping on the deck. Not that they were supposed to be here at all.
But just now she was being led into the party by the most handsome man on the entire ship. In her opinion, anyway. The dress she had chosen to bring with her was a maxi dress with a sweetheart neckline in white with ice blue seed beads sewn in gentle patterns that suggested snow falling and culminated in asymmetrical 'piles' around the hem. As the dress was strapless, Yukiko had paired it with a bolero in the same ice blue as the beads on her dress. She leaned into Anteros lightly, the excited smile on his face sparking one of her own and making her heart flutter in her chest. She was entirely sure that she would never get tired of the way he made her feel just by looking at her. His breath against her ear made her shiver, and his words caused a blush to suffuse her face. "Thank you," she murmured in response, giggling girlishly at the smile he gave her. "You look wonderful tonight, too."
She nodded when he said he needed to take care of something. "Of course, love, I'll be here," she promised. The kiss he placed on her hand sent warmth buzzing through her and the feeling was not unlike being drunk. Or so she imagined; the snowy angel was not the type to drink very often. It wasn't long before Anteros came back, his arm around her waist setting the butterflies to fluttering again. She smiled brightly up at him as he asked her what she wanted to do first. "Oh, let's have a dance first," she said with a grin. It was how they had first met, after all.
Just as they were about to step onto the floor, one of Anteros' brothers stopped them and apparently had done something that required Anteros to fix. She smiled at Hymn a bit until he mentioned having shot someone and then she was... Well she was kind of concerned. And confused. She was still wondering what was going on when Anteros had to leave her again to help his brother. "O-oh, of course, it's alright," she said with a smile. "I'll be here."
[Firuzeh Current Arrow Effect: Psyche's Soul Mate Arrow; Target: Noirocher] Ruzeh was quite pleased with the reaction her dress had gotten from Noir. "Thank you," she'd said with a grin. "You look amazing tonight, too." She leaned into him as they entered, snorting a bit as he agreed with her. "No kidding," she said with a small laugh. She felt something sharp on the back of her leg and scowled a bit, but just then Noir asked her to dance. She turned back to him and every bit of the love she felt for him shone in her eyes. "A dance sounds lovely, darling," she said and slid her fingers between his, heading onto the dance floor with him. He was everything to her, him and the children they had together. She knew without a doubt in that moment that Noir was the one who had always been meant for her from the very beginning. He was her soulmate, and the knowledge made the night all the more perfect than it already had been.
[Ophelia Current Arrow Effect: Adonis' Desire Arrow: Target: Shaeloh] Ophelia smirked as the blonde yoga hottie made his way toward her. Oh yeah, this had been the perfect dress for tonight. "Mm, oh yes, I feel wonderful after that," she told him. Actually, she was a little bit sore, but damned if she was going to let that get in her way tonight. Maybe she'd even get really lucky and have this gorgeous pae in her cabin later. She gave a seductive laugh as he spun her, an odd tingling spreading through her body, followed by a delicious warmth that pooled in her stomach. A little dizzy from the spin, she gave him a dazzling smile, hoping she was the one who was bowing to her. But when her eyes focused, they found a startlingly silver angel and that warmth that had settled in her belly spread further making her heart thump almost painfully in her chest. "Well, hello, salty goodness," she murmured to herself and started toward him, hips swaying with every step.
There was a teen nearby who had apparently thought she should start out by kissing. Aw, cute. She just needed a little lesson in flirting, and Ophelia was just the demon to give it to her. "Hello, gorgeous," she said with a wink and a sexy smile as she leaned on the bar next to him, clearly showing off her...assets. "Here alone?" she smirked. If he wasn't, she was sure she could entice him away from whoever had held his attention before now. If he was...well, he wasn't anymore, since he obviously wasn't really interested in making out with a teenager.
[Arc-en-Roche Current Arrow Effect: Himeros' Lust Arrow; Target: Lyneeson] Now that Lyn mentioned it, the bar did look rather crowded...it seemed many pae had the same idea Arc had. He looked around then, wondering where else they could start when Lyn spotted their target. "Oh, wow, she is really pretty," he said and nodded, following his friend. Not that he had much of a choice; Lyn was practically dragging him over to the pink lady.
He was still fumbling for words while Lyn was, as usual, being very charming. "Y-y-you're really p-p-pretty," he stuttered and was glad of the dark tones of his skin because right then he was blushing furiously. That was so incredibly lame, he couldn't even believe that he'd said it. What on Telrunya was wrong with him? Ugh. He wished he was as smooth at Lyneeson was... He gave a nod at the goddess' question just as he felt a p***k on his back and frowned a bit, turning to grump at Lyn for pinching him. He knew that had been a stupid thing to say, why did Lyn have to...oh...oh wow... Lyn. Heat enveloped the young shetani and his pupils nearly devoured the color of his eyes as he stared, open-mouthed, at Lyneeson.
[Carnelian Current Arrow Effect: NONE] Carnelian looked around the room hesitantly as she tried to pinpoint where she would need to avoid. Unlike most of the teens here, she and her sister would need to avoid their parents and their grandparents. Possibly their great-grandmother, too, but she wasn't even really sure Venus knew they were related let alone care that they were there. A rumble started in her stomach and she was about to start toward the food table when she was stopped by another teen. "Oh, hi," she said with a smile. "Having fun yet?"

Euphrosyne took another break from her wine steward duties to watch the party as it had been unfolding. She could see her siblings' handiwork as clear as day, as well as some new elements she'd never seen before. She traced them back to their sources and noted with delight that some of their nieces and nephews were also getting in on the fun! What a gift to them, especially since they lived with their mortal parent and on Dolandor where they really belonged.
She was so excited about the new additions to their number that she had to share! Euphrosyne pulled out her bow and struck an already happy-looking couple, who she thought she might recognize....no, she couldn't possibly. She watched with glee as the effects spread over them like gold. Except, it only did on one. She frowned and looked at her bow. Had she missed? She fired another arrow into the hooved mortal to be sure. No effect. She chewed her bottom lip, somewhat concerned about the potency of her magic...
Before promptly deciding that this mortal must just have some kind of immunity, which in her case was just sad. She fired an arrow into another mortal, a silvery swirled male with feathery wings, and was satisfied to see that her arrows worked on him.
Mortals were weird.

[Current arrow effect: Hymnaios -> Proposal] Florzinha had been enjoying the food table and people watching. The array of succulent meats and crisp vegetables and soft desserts was enough luxury to impress even the most picky of Rakshasha. She'd just bitten into a little square of jelly when she felt an odd sensation, right in the square of her back. She frowned and turned around.
And her attention was caught by the most impressive creature she'd ever seen. She'd never encountered anyone whose magnificence rivaled her own. But she...she was beautifully plumed! Not like those wretched angels, but like a fierce and graceful bird! Her hair fell in sharp angles around her face, and those talons...Florzinha licked her lips and set her unfinished dessert on a passing tray.
Confidently she strode over to the object of her affection. She'd never felt this way about anyone before. Florzinha took her slender, white hands and knelt before her. "I caught sight of you across the room and I knew we were meant to be together. We are alike in many ways, and you are so beautiful and fierce that I am drawn to you like a moth to flame. Come away with me! Let us spend our days together forever, hunting and wild and free! If you will be mine, I will be yours forever, body and spirit!"

[Arrow Effect: None] Sommer was super happy when the teen replied and didn't seem to try to get rid of her like that other pae had. She bounced lightly on her toes, the purple hair she'd piled atop her head threatening to come back down, she wasn't the best at doing her own hair. Sommer peeked left and right, purposefully eyeing the door in the process as if her adoptive parents would come back in at any second and point at her with an 'aha'. After those quick glances she looks directly back to the red teen and replies "Nows that they are not here and I's not have to hide... Yup!" she grinned a smile from ear to ear "Ares you? I's Sommer" she pointed at herself with her last 2 words to introduce herself.
Drink in hand, the captain simply shot the barkeep with a look for his statement. Obviously they were in for an interesting night. He was a she! But it looked as though the God was far more interested in a lady friend, and he could respect that. Were females still attracted to him looking like this?
Blimey! What if...males were attracted to him looking like this?!
At the thought, the nymph knocked back his entire drink in three quick gulps. "Anoder! I need to be drunker than a stowaway in a keg room!" His order was filled quickly, as the male suddenly sped up his orders in record time. In a moment it was apparently, as he swept the pretty fauness away to the dance floor. Women did have that power to light a fire under ones feet.
He turned to his own lady -er- man now. The god had said the effects were temporary at least. What a relief. Which meant they just had to wait it out. He could date a man for that long - no. He could date Andromeda as a man for that long. He wrapped an arm around her solid form. He missed the curve of her waist but didn't seem to notice. The shetani in a dress as a male though was rather funny. "So. Would you like to dance lass? Take yer mind off 'til this magic wears off?"

But he never felt such a hunger as now. Maybe it was all these pae around, she was feeling shy? As they hit the dance section, he moved to press against her backside. An arm around her waist, a hand on her shoulder, he swayed to dance but lifted his lips near her ear. "A quick dance here, and then perhaps a dance of our own back at the room? His voice dropped to a seductive baritone, heavy with promise of a good time. If he still had his power of inducing love, he would've used it now.

Her golden eyes blinked in confusion until he came out with another pae. Being led away from the arch, she was growing increasingly baffled. Did they know? Were they stopping this insanity?
But she wanted to get married! Be married to Koit and have...weird...nephew-son things...Oh guardians. "What is going-"
POW! Her head started ringing as she felt something slam upon her head. Knocking all the thoughts from her head. When her vision straightened she immediately looked to Koit. "Are you alright?" She didn't sing that! And she didn't feel oddly compelled to get married anymore! "Oh Guardians, thank you." Niday breathed as she shuffled away, rubbing her head. But now she had to deal with a very awkward situation. "...Drinks. Yes." Her emotions felt so jumbled. Of course she starts liking a pae, and it turns out to be related. Of COURSE that's what fate punished her for to come out for a few nights of fun. "My...apologies Koit...I had no idea."
