He's viscous, but regrets his violent lifestyle. By hurting others he only hurts himself and to feel better he attacks another unwary victim. It's a tragic cycle.

rofl I didn't realize the panda would cause so much discussion. I just remember the stuffed bears I had growing up having that kind of mouth.

WIP I'm experimenting using the mixer brush instead of smudge. Right now, I feel the skin shading is too red. I'm not sure whether I want to just go back to flat colors and start over or continue with it and try to adjust the colors later. I already had to change the make-up a few times to better match the skin with shading, so that would likely need to be changed too once I find the right shades.
The lips, I found, were too low once I started shading the face, so I moved them up a little. I might have to start over on them to get a better feel for how to shade them.
The gold I might make lighter, depending on how the rest of the image ends up looking.
Also.... everything looks like crap at 25% zoom, which is about what the end piece will be resized to.... stressed

biggrin *Just now notices last post, only to be caught off guard by enlarged face pic.* eek Oh wow, was not expecting that! ... I do like how the pinkish skin tone appears to be glowing a bit, but I agree that the skin shading is just a little too red. Just a thought, would one or more of the various shades of dusty rose work for shading and/or make-up?

Well, from this point, I'm going to be tweaking the tone using color balance and hue/saturation. That includes the make-up because it's already been shaded.

So.... being perfectly honest here, I pretty much haven't touched the piece since the last update emotion_facepalm Shading is actually my favorite part, so it isn't like the previous hang up where I wasn't working on it because I don't like inking. And the fact that I'm not overly fond of the piece as a whole isn't the problem either since I don't have to like a piece to enjoy shading it.
Rather, since I started looking up music to make a playlist that would get me through the inking, I've gotten more into music than I have been in a long time. I spend most of my night listening to it now. While it doesn't seem like that would be a problem, it is because my mind works in odd ways emotion_facepalm For something tedious and repetitive like inking or booty grab, I can go on and on with it as long as I have the right music. However, for things like writing and shading, I need silence. Not entirely sure why shading falls in the same category as writing, but whatever emotion_eyebrow Only thing that allows me to even still roleplay while listening to it is that I pause it when it comes time for me to make a post, then go back to it in between posts.
Random fact about me and music: I oddly become much better at math and remembering numbers while listening to music, but it makes it to where I can't count for s**t.
Anyhow, while the spouse's days off {weekdays} are usually days I can't get any personal things done, they're also days I don't listen to music because I never know when the spouse is going to ask me to do something. So I'm going to see if I can try to put in some time for shading through the week. I don't need as much concentration for shading as I need for writing, so it might work.
