Dylan smiled, "Sounds good." He glanced at the clock and hated that he really did need to get home. "Hey listen, I'll see you tomorrow at school. I gotta get home." He started getting his other shoe on and making sure he had his stuff. He was glad for a good first day of school. A Date put the topper on the cake for him.

"Sweet! Um, teens get in for free on thursdays. Perhaps we can go then?" Lexi replied as she looked at the clock before nodding. "Yeah, I gotta start dinner. Kyle should be home any second now. Do you need a ride or anything?" She asked with a smile.

"Thursday sounds great. But I'm good. I got my board, you do what you gotta do." Dylan smiled and gave her a kiss on the cheek before starting for the door. "I'll see you at school Lexi."

"Wait, Dylan!" Lexi exclaimed as she grabbed him and turned him around before she reached up and kissed him deeply on the lips. After a few moments, she pulled back with a light giggle. "That's how you properly say goodnight."

Kissing her back Dylan didn't know what was happening. He smiled at her comment though. "I was kinda saving that kiss for our date." He blushed a tad.

"Oh, um... sorry." Lexi said as she blushed as well, her hands clasping together behind her back as she adverted her eyes from him. "People always say I'm a bit, what's the word, anxious?"

Dylan smiled, "Its fine, nice really." He watched her a moment. Then leaned in and kissed her softly. "I'll see you tomorrow." He smiled and left her side.

"Okay, well, um. Goodbye." Lexi told him as he left, waving lightly before she closed the door behind him. She then walked into the kitchen and began to prepare dinner for herself and her little brother.

Dylan waited to get on his board until he was on the sidewalk. He smiled happily the whole way home. He now was trying to think of something to get her for her party. He didn't want to show up with nothing. He'd have to ask his sister or something.

Kyle soon came home, right when Lexi was finished cooking. She served the two their meal since their dad was out of town on business. When they were done, she told him to go do his homework as she began to wash the dishes. As she did so, she decided to text Dylan, to make sure that he had gotten home safely.
Hey. You home yet?

Blaring Fort Minors 'Cigarettes' and vibrating against his hip, Dylan fished his phone out of his pocket. He smiled as he saw Lexi's name flashed on his screen. He read the message as he walked up stairs to start on some homework before dinner.
Yeah, how was dinner?
He flopped onto his bed and laid back smiling, waiting for her reply. He figured homework could wait a few more minutes.

Good, made some bitchin' pasta. Wish you could've stuck around awhile longer. :[
Lexi texted back before she finished cleaning the kitchen and walked up to her room. With a sigh, she flopped on her bed and pulled out her laptop, starting on Written Comp homework while she waited for his text back.

Dylan listened to his ring tone before looking at the text.
Yeah I know. But it's better then my mom or someone calling in the middle of anything telling me to get my a** home. Maybe next time I can stay longer.
He read over his text a few times before deciding to just send it. He was curious how she would react. He pulled out his science book and started to slowly read the assigned chapter.

Lexi had just finished the first paragraph of her assignment when her phone lit up and vibrated on her lap. There was no ringtone though, she didn't find a need for them really. She took her hands off of the laptop before she opened her phone and read over the message. She texted her response quickly, smirking to herself all the while.
Yeah, that would be nice. Well, you know that noone's at my house most of the time, so maybe next time we could do more than just kiss... ;]

Coming back from the bathroom, Dylan picked up his phone and chuckled a bit.
