Melody mewed as if to agree and jumped off the bed and raced to the kitchen, sliding on the wood as she did so.
Daryn looked around at her while still playing.
"Hey, remember this?"
He began to play a more lively tune that they used to sing to all the time when they were teenagers. He laughed at the sheer joy he got from playing the bouncy notes and began to sing to it.

Gabe laughed and sat up. Shivering becuase she was in just a tanktop and shorts. But she grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around herself. "It's too early to sing" she was never a morning person, but she was laughing. SHe remembered the song. It brought back memories

Daryn laughed more and when he finished the song he smiled over at her.
"It's never too early or too late for music."
He told her with a spark in his eyes. Moving the keyboard so he was facing her now, he began to softly play "Falling Slowly" from the movie "Once".
"So what should we have for breakfast?"
He wondered aloud.

Gabe chuckled and layed on her back. "I dunno. waffels sound good." She fiddled with her hair. She liked listening to his music. She remembered when he would play for her when she was sad or sick. It got her thinking about highschool.
"Why did you go with Susan Graves to the Girls choice dance when I asked you?" she wanted to know why. She ended up going with another guy.

Daryn was caught off guard by the question and stuttered a little.
"Uh, well, I uh...... she asked me first and threatened to blackmail me if i didn't say yes."
He said a little bit ashamed. Blushing, he switched the song to something more mysterious sounding
"I really did want to go with you, but... That's a secret I don't really want out."
He said and faltered a little on the keys but quickly corrected himself.
((Ok, I'm working a fair bit this week so it's all good.))

Clarissa blinked, shocked that he had faltered. She rolled over onto her tummy and stared at him. She was really caught of guard" What secret..?" Her red hair was messy, but in a cute way. She was still huddling in the blanket.

Daryn coughed.
"Nothing. It's not important."
He said though it was obvious on his pale face that a blush was creeping up his cheeks.
"Everyone has little secrets they need to keep."
He tried to brush it off and played a little faster on the keys, hoping to distract her a little.

Gabe blinked, saw him flushed but didn't understand why. She sat up and looked at him. What could Susan know that she didn't. She tilted her head as she thought, fiddling with her hair.
"I don't get it. tell me!" she leaned over at put her hand on the keyboard.
It wasn't that he liked her. That wasn't true. So what was it?

Daryn stopped playing, his hands hovering over the keys as he looked up at her. He looked a bit like a child who was telling his parents he didn't want to eat his vegetables.
"You'll laugh at me. I..."
He trailed off and stared out the window, down at the keys, anywhere if it avoided eye contact.

Gabe stared at him for a moment. She got off the bed ditching the banket. She shivered at the cold. But she still wanted answers. She reached over and moved his hands and slid into his lap. She had her legs on both sides of him, his hands at her waist and she grabbed his face so he'd make eye contact.
Dispite how serious she was she giggled at her hair. She had to blow a strand out of her face. "Tell meh?" she gave him her puppy eyes

Daryn was beet red from their position.
"Uh... I, well... it's..."
He blinked a couple times and when she laughed at her own hair, he laughed nervously as well.
"It's....... I.... It's too embarrassing."
He said and hugged her close to him, trying to hide his face a little bit.

Why was he getting all flustered. he was the school girl now!! She tilted her head in confusion and pulled back a little to look him in the eye. Her eyes were sincere. "I promise not to laugh. Tell me?" she gave him her best innocent look. She just wanted to know.

Daryn gave her one last pleading look, begging her not to make him say. His green eyes almost looked tortured with having to reveal the knowledge. He glanced over briefly when Melody came back into the room and mewed loudly several times.

Gabe tilted her head again. She glanced at Melody then to him. "I wont laugh.." She saw the look in his eyes and frowned. She sighed, leaned in and kissed his cheek. "tell me when you can.." she got up. "I'ma go feed melody" she picked the kitten up and walked with her to the kitchen
