Kuro slept soundly as his parents came and went often. They had missed him when he first had woken up and had gotten the news from their daughter when she was leaving with a bright smile on her face. His mother often sat on the opposite side of the bed holding Kuro's hand and when he moved wrong or winced at something he was dreaming about her hands seemed to flutter uselessly over him without really touching him. His father on the other hand stayed silent as he stred out a window. One would think just by watching him that this has happened so many times before and would be considered strong hearted or cold hearted. But in the end he was suffering just like everyone else as he waited for his son to get better or to wake up. Which ever came first.

Eventually Kuro's mom passed out in a chair next to Kuro's bed her hand still gently grasping his as he slept on. His father soon sat in a chair across the room and zonked out for the night. The nurse came in and smiled, but soon busied herself aroudn the room. She read his vital signs and jotted down some notes then once again left to go find blankets for the sleeping family.

When Kuro awoke again the nurse had just come back and his eyes fluttered still drouzy from the medication. He looked around and smiled at the ones he loved scattered about the room sleeping. His eye then rested upon Aaron. He would love to stroke the side of his face, but his mother was currently holding that hand and it felt pleasnt for him to just leave it there in her hands. So he sat and watched him sleep. The nurse turned to him when she had covered Aaron up with a blanket the best she could and smiled at him before whispering with a soft caring smile. "How are you doing? Do you need anything?" He nodded slightly and then rasped, "Something to eat please I'm starving." He chuckled lightly as to not jar his ribs. She scuttled out and went to find something he could eat without hurting himself.

Kuro smiled his one eye twinkling with delight as he nodded carefully, "of course I do love...I'm doing okay right now, so far it doesn't hurt as long as I don't laugh or move to much....and I'm content with that for now if it means I get to watch you sleep and talk to you." carefuly sliding his hand out of his mothers hand he stroked the side of Aaron's face wincing slightly for he had to trun his tourso slightly. "When I'm out of here we'll do something fun ok....go somewhere with no damn cars or a place where I can be hunted by that damned physco path." He let his arm drop as he re adjusted since the pain was to much now. "Ugh....I think I need more meds now....he panted as he slid his hand carefully back into his mothers hand and she woke.

"Kuro....aww Kuro," she stroked his hair gently, "How do you feel hun?"

"Like I got trampled by horses Ma' Sorry to worry you and dad....didn't mean to have this happen," He smiled gently and tenderly.

"No...I'm sorry we should have told you and -" He placed a finger to her lips.

"No....You did great mom....thank you for your protection. It is greatly appreciated," he ground his teeth as a sharp pain laced through him making his muscles tense slightly and causing more pain then was needed.

Kuro sighed slightly before looking back at Aaron, "Becuase I'm a stuborn fool and I prefer to suffer through the pain even just for a while to see the ones I love and care about so much." He noticed something in Aaron's eyes and he shook his head, "Do not blame yourself for my condition...It's not your fault or mine. Even when I come drunk i know how to stay out of the road." He sighed and cringed again, "Besides it was that man's fault...he thought this could kill me....he obviously doesn't know me to well does he?" he chuckled softly befor wincing.

"No...don't please...for my sanity don't. I know I jumped the gun when asking you and yes it did hurt to have you return that back to me...I'm sorry I confused you to think I didn't want it when I did. I want to be with you. I just didn't understand why I just couldn't take that from you before we were married....and now I do....so it's not your fault so please don't say that ok," He stroked his cheek gently before his hand fell back to his side as he panted harshly.

"Kuro hun please take the morphine," She pleaded but he ignored her as he stared at Aaron.

Kuro sighed, "I can stand it....." It was to late the nurse came in and saw the pain on his face. "Now mister Kuro you haver to tell me when your hurting I can't help you if you think your super man. Now excuse me everyone." She sqeezed through and sent some more morphine into Kuro's tube. He groaned, "Ok." He sighed as his eyes fluttered slightly, he fought the affects, but to no avail and he soon promtly passed out again.

She chuckeld and Kuro's Mother nodded, "He's been that way even when he was a little boy. He hated everyone thinking he was always going to back out just because he was book smart. They found out just how much stubornness he had in him. Making him a person who enjoyed challanges."
