I love steak and kidney pie. It is so ******** good. Although I live in California, there is this one pub in Santa Monica that serves the best steak and kidney pies in the whole ******** country.

Thank God Sweeney Todd didn't make me loose my appetite for meat pies.

I had the worst Bangers & Mash of my life in Chicago recently.
I appreciate that it's my own fault for ordering Bangers & Mash in Chicago, but still...

A Lancershire hotpot with a shlosh of Lee & Perrins' sauce. Great stuff.

Basically, it's made from basmati rice, smoked fish (most usually haddock, but other fish can be used), hard boiled eggs and a mild curry flavouring. In the words of Elizabeth David, "At the thought of a kedgeree made with smoked haddock and plenty of hard-boiled eggs, English eyes grow dreamy and the smell of an English country house dining room at breakfast time...comes back to tease and tantalise."
Sounds hideous xp

One moment... where on Earth (or Britain) does one obtain Kedegree? And does anyone else think the name makes it sound like dogfood?

And let us not forget the Almight Doner Kebab, oh Holy of Spiced Lamb, thou shalt not eat while sober, but upon Sabbath eve, thou must consume with gusto, lest thine stomach contents be empty after thine Unholy Piss-up!

Unless you know some pretty kickarse hotels, your best bet is to find a girl who can make it, or have a go at making it yourself.

It's not one of those things one can find in a shop.

I love a good old fashioned roast, the more parsnips the better.

I'm also fond of the British breakfast.

I love cottage pie but I don't eat red meat so it doesn't get made with beef. Quorn mince is just as delicious I'm sure.
