Ah man! I love reminiscing about childhood tv shows. I watched tons of tv as a child...and still do. I remember watching TMNT, Smurfs, Snorks, Jetsons, Flintstones, Looney Toons, Tiny Toons, Super Mario Bros., Scooby Doo, G.I. Joes, Captain Planet, Pixie and Dixie, Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, Tom and Jerry, Super Friends, Batman, Superman, Spiderman, X-men, Voltron, Transformers, Ghostbusters, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Beetlejuice, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck, Duck Tales, Goof Troop...this list is getting to long. I watched so much more, too. The thing about some of these cartoons is, when I watched them as a kid, I thought they were the coolest thing. I've watched some of them, recently, and could not believe how lame they were. Super Mario Bros. and Captain Planet are good examples of that. There were also ones that were racist, like Looney Toons. There's one that I don't know if it was intentional racism and sexism, but it was the 1st season of Power Rangers(I know, it's not a cartoon). The black kid was in the black suit, the asian girl in yellow, and the other girl in pink...well I think everybody knows about that now.

I was obsessed with TMNT and Gargoyles. I also watched Tailspin, Animaniacs, and Walker Texas Ranger (wait, that's not a cartoon...). But even then, Captain Planet scared me. Blue man in a red speedo that was a total pansy- every time they called on him he'd start dying from the pollution...

A few I haven't heard anyone mention yet. The Mystical Knights of Tynonono, Tattoo Teenagers Alien Squad From Beverly Hills, Bettleborgs, Legend of Zelda (the show that had several parents banning the show for the repeated use of the phrase excuse me princess. This was also around the time where Mortal Kombat 1 was considered evil. I laugh at that ban now a days. But the Grand Theft Auto game should be shot down. Along with any morally declining game being made. Back to the list of things I haven't seen people name. That one show with the people jumping into computers to figure computer viruses with these robots. Talespin, Nick Tarpin blaster master the game master. Quote: There's one that I don't know if it was intentional racism and sexism, but it was the 1st season of Power Rangers(I know, it's not a cartoon). The black kid was in the black suit, the asian girl in yellow, and the other girl in pink...well I think everybody knows about that now. Outrage thought up by a massive idiot mass and nothing more. It's really not any more valid. Than the outrage at the white vampire skin in the Gaia shops. Any intelligent informed person knows it isn't a sign of racism.

I grew up in the 50"s and we had the best cartoons, the Road Runner, Yosemite Sam, Bugs Bunny, cartoons that made you laugh. The cartoons of today, I wouldn't let my children watch, they are so ugly and vicious, monsters everywhere, what's funny about that. I do like Sponge Bob and a few of them.
