"What a gorgeous day!" the warriors shouted to the sky happily as he looked up to the sky with a large smile on his face. This place did have its share of gorgeous weather...and gorgeous people. He had spent a lot of time setting up his small abode, but he was coming out to enjoy a nice day out here among the locals. The gods had given him a good marker to this place and it was keeping his soul at ease. It was hard to complain with such a bounty. The man had even felt comfortable leaving his sword behind at a spot, but instead he traded that with a surfboard.
He held it by his side as he hummed. He always loved a good day in the sun, a nice time to just bask in its glorious light and of course a beach was a nice gathering place. He had brought a full offering today, even his guitar with which to serenade a potential love. Always. He had left it at a spot on the beach as he had no fear of it being stolen. It rested on his back, a bit of a risk but he had a nice collection and this was somewhat of a throwaway.
He decided to head out and just relax out there, being quite adept as surfing as he took himself some distance from the sands and drifted lying on his back while he gently strummed the string. He'd wait for a good wave to catch to pay attention, for now it was time to just live.

Ozwald was pleased to hear that Benjamin shared the idea to search for shells. Picking himself up from the ground, he lightly brushed some sand off his legs but didn't seem to mind the bit that still clung to his skin. He let out a low hum as he weighed the options. "Well I think going together would be the better idea. Two heads are better than one and all that. Plus we can chat to pass the time, even if we don't find all that much." he said softly, giving a half shrug. He had never been on a seashell hunt and though he kept his normal stoicism on the inside he was very excited. If he could find even just one he'd be content, he was a simple man at heart.

Setsuko tilted her head to the side slightly, "Oh? Well everyone has an off day every so often." she said with a shrug. She watched the people wandering for a bit before turning her attention to him. "That's a smart way to go about it, I've never been one to jump into things without really thinking about it." She pulled her knees up to her chest, resting her chin on them before a thought occurred to her. "Ah my name is Setsuko, sorry I forgot to introduce myself before. It's nice to meet you." she said with a lopsided grin.

Hearing the answer clearly, Benjamin nodded, though he picked up the bucket once again to be used as a makeshift container for the seashells that they could find. He allowed Oz to be by his side as they began the search. The place became slightly more crowded now with each passing second and Ben noticed more people sitting down on the sand with the blankets for protection. Also, there were several food stalls together with the music from the speakers breaching the silence. The half-demon was not in the mood to comment about the noise since his mind was at the task at hand so that the sandcastle would be finished as soon as possible.
In fact, his mind was scrambling for something worth discussing to ensure that the conversation would continue. But right now, he had found nothing, and he hated it, so instead, his baby blue eyes scanned around the horizon. A child's laugh tinkled near his ears like a bell, and it sparked a past memory. He being so young, together with his childhood friend-
No, Endo was no longer with him. That was something that Ben had to accept as a hard truth. Resisting the urge to shake his head, the search continued on, until something caught his eye. An outline of a shell, though buried mostly under the sand. The blond half-jogged towards it like a kid yearning for some candy.

❀xxxThe Chevy Volt came to a stop where the sand met the asphalt. It had been such a nice day out that Rose couldn't help but take advantage and go to the beach, even if she had waited all day. It was hard for her to get around most of the time because of constant fatigue. She wasn't bounding with energy even though someone her age should be. Healthy people had energy. Technically she was a normal, healthy, thirty year old woman, but her cancer left her internally scared and decrepit. Not being able to do some of the simplest things often ticked her off; especially when she saw people her age able to do them with ease. But! This was no time for melancholy thoughts such as those! She may not be a roaring twenty something, but she could still cut loose like the rest of them. Sometimes. Today, now that she had some energy back, she was going to try her hand at surfing! She had never tried it, surprisingly. From what she had read about the sport, it required a lot of physical work. Difficult, but not impossible.
Looking out at the beach with amber colored curiosity, Rose turned the car off and sat in the driver seat a few moments longer. Night was starting to set in and she knew she wouldn't be able to be out here all night. Even though it was summer, staying at the beach at night could get very cold and she didn't need a reason to have a hospital stay. Not that she would mind too much, the doctor was interesting enough. Blinking her big eyes behind her glasses, the strawberry blonde shook her head and pulled herself out of the car. She would need to rent a surfboard if she was going to give this a try as she didn't own one. Closing the driver's door, she opened the back to grab her beach essentials before locking up her car and marching her way into the sand. Adjusting her glasses, she had to remind herself of the videos she had studied of professional surfers and tutorials for beginners. As long as she kept those in mind, she should be just fine. Well, mostly fine. She would need to do this without her glasses or risk losing them, which meant she would be nearly blind. Lookout everyone else!
Finding a spot on the beach to set herself up, she walked around a bit to find the rental stall and used the clerk's opinion on the best board to use. Lucky for her, she was able to find the only pink surfboard the place had to offer! With a smile, she took the board from the clerk and almost immediately dropped it. This thing was heavy! She was able to carry it, it just caught her by surprise at the weight of the thing. Picking it back up, she slung it under her shoulder and huffed her way towards the water. Okay...Having to trudge through the sand while carrying this board was harder than it looked. No pity though! She stopped back at her stuff to drop off her glasses and cover, and then pathetically navigated her way to the water. At night, with no real light source, the normally blurred shapes became almost impossible to see. There was still light out, but the sun wasn't as bright as it had been earlier. Hopefully she wouldn't kill anyone while trying to surf.
Once her feet felt the foam roll over them, she wiggled her toes and gave a small shiver at the cold water. Wading into the water, she tossed the board out in front of her, still touching it so she wouldn't lose it, she grunted as she hoisted herself onto it. There was a bit of wobbling as she worked to center herself on the board, but once she got it she laid flat on her stomach, like she had seen in videos, and began to paddle out further. Hopefully she didn't accidentally run into anyone.xxx❀
Patrick and Hiro went over to the bucket and shovel after a small nap after their snack time. They usually have fun making sandcastles and this time was no different.The sandcastle was biggest he made in a long time. Plus more than one with intricate details when he worked on them some more. "Today has gone well, hasn't it HIro?" Patrick asked him and the kitten mewed back.
Kara continued to drift about just enjoying himself and humming along to his own tune. It was probably weird to hear to see, but it relaxed Kara enough to where he didn't care at least until something bumped into his board. It caused his eyes to shoot open, the golden orbs searching around until he noticed the pink wood next to him. He sat up, setting the end on his own white board until he could see who was riding.
It turned out to be a woman, and a rather cute on at that who seemed to be having some trouble given her rather experienced movements. He smiled "Well hello there my pretty flower, are you having some fun there?" he shifted sitting up as he kept his eyes on her. He gave her a little more of a look over..yep definitely one of his types.
She certainly had a color scheme going too so that was nice. He plucked just a few strings for a rising tune. This was a good city.

Tsuki tilted his head a bit as he briefly examined her. She had a nice figure to her and the white bikini looked great on her. It would be rude of him to stare at her for too long though. "I'm Tsuki. It's nice to meet you too." He reached into his bag and pulled out a couple snacks and some other small stuff. "So, what are your plans for this event?" He wanted to observe things first before joining in on the event but he was curious about what she had wanted to do during the beach event.

Based on the responses made by Sophia and Mako, Chester insisted that they should build sandcastles until it was time for the swimsuit competition. Mako is not sure how many contestants are participating, but she does feel confident about her chances of winning. Her human form was tailored to satisfy the sex appeal for both men and women, and her swimsuit is based on trends and past data on previous victors of other swimsuit competitions. Of course, there is no such thing as a one hundred percent guarantee, so there is a chance, even if it is slim, that she will not win. If this proves to be true, then it is of no real loss to her since she only entered the competition to observe others and gain valuable insight on social interactions among the people living in Soleil. If there is time after the swimsuit competition, maybe they will all try the other competitive games, like chicken or battleship.
Chester switched to another topic shortly after he finished talking about building sandcastles, watching the swimsuit competition and playing the other competitive games. This one revolved around food, specifically how he brought mini key lime cheesecakes from home and is willing to share them with the group. This reminded Mako of the food that she brought in the cooler, and it seemed only fair to she should share what she has if someone else will do the same for the group. Besides, four sandwiches is perhaps a bit overkill for just one person. She reached out to the heels on her feet and removed them before she said,
"I have been to numerous beaches, but like Sophia, I never built a sandcastle before. If that is something we will be doing, then we will be relying on you Chester to show us. As for food, I packed a few sandwiches that I am willing to share with the two of you. Hopefully, both of you like either ham or turkey and cheese."

Ozwald gave Benjamin a few side glances as they walked along the beach. The silence was getting to him but he wasn't really the type to make small talk so he didn't know what to say or do. So he rifled through the pockets of his trunks to pull out a pack of gum. Since it would be unwise to bring cigarettes to the beach, he needed something else to satiate his oral fixation and biting his nails would probably make him look weird. Sticking a piece in his mouth, he let out a sigh and chewed. He took a look around the beach, seeing it become quite busy. Of course that made sense with the event going on, though he wished he could be like the people gathered around. Finally being unable to stand the silence Oz tried to speak up, at least until Ben left his side. He quickly followed after his companion. "Did you find a shell?" he asked curiously.

Benjamin crouched down near the spot where the shell was partially buried, blue eyes taking in the ridges on the surface of the object. He dug the sand with his fingers and picked the shell up, revealing the one shaped like a c-ckle. The color was a faint badge, almost similar to his own skin, though the thing fitted well to his palm, being medium-sized. The blond showed it to Oz so that the raven-haired would get a closer look, A not-so-common find, don't you agree?" In fact, the shell didn't glimmer much in the sunlight, but at least the illumination helped in making it a bit more visible. After that, the half-demon placed the shell into the bucket before standing up and walking once again. The search was still far from over, after all.
He ended up getting three more shells, one of them being a conch and the other two being scallop shells. The scallop shells were similar to the ones guarding the circular meat before the shells were opened up and the sweet flesh was harvested and cleaned to become a famous appetizer. Still, it wasn't that much. Benjamin needed a few more for the sandcastle to be that good.
