“Congratulations!” Sonora beamed with pride when Jonah was asked to be Vice Captain. That was wonderful! He’d been working so hard at being a good beater--even taking on Aidene as a little protege last year-- so it was wonderful that Nico was acknowledging his work ethic.
She was happy of course to be reprising her usual (probably reserve) seeker role and headed off in search of the snitch after a wave to Loke.
She was lucky; she spotted the snitch almost immediately and headed that way, doing her best to stay out of the way of the chasers.

Benny heard Nico’s run down. They were to do four laps and then they were going to be split into teams. He was on blue team blocking against Rhiannon and Iggy. It wasn’t that hard, he hoped. Once they got started, he got into position. Watching as the ball got closer to him, Benny readied himself. The first year took her shot and the third year went to deflect the shot. Here’s hoping summer didn’t make him completely rusty.

With an energetic cheer, Aidene took off on her new Starsweeper broom. She did her laps, snagged a bat, and sent a bludger spiraling towards the target. She wanted to glance back at the excitement with the Quaffle, but she had a good feeling that Jonah at least was keeping an eye on the Beaters here and she wanted to show she had gotten bettter over the summer. Sure she wasn't good enough to compare to Charley or Lilith or Jonah himself, but exp points were exp points!

Rhiannon pursed her lips as the keeper, Benny, caught the quaffle. Looked like she was back to chasing after Brook and the quaffle. She turned her broom and started flying after the other girl. She flew beneath her, hoping to be able to knock the quaffle out from underneath her.
