Kanjite Knight ThisEmptySoul If you're going to start pointing out everyone's spelling and grammatical mistakes, I am not going to go easy on you the next time you type "tho" instead of "though". Talk about death of the English language rolleyes Firefox doesn't correct me when I say "tho". Added the word to the dictionary?

It doesn't correct me either, but that doesn't mean it's proper English. The correct spelling is "though". "Tho" is the lazy slang version of "though". Actually, if you look "tho" up in a dictionary, you will be redirected to "though".

I don't mind real-life slang. It's using 4chan/Internet slang just to look cute I find fault with. Bad spelling is NOT cute.

Real life slang is fine? So you don't mind people saying things like "wazzup"?

Yeah. My issue is why use the term on the Internet for the sake of looking cute when you wouldn't use it in real life? I pretty much type the way I talk, tho I do skip the middle syllable in "probably".
I can think of 3 reasons for me to misspell a word:
1. To be sarcastic. ("The Amerikkan edjamakational system sure am doing will." xp ) 2. To mock something. ("Gundam Wing is the Gundam show girls watch for the emotional drama and the hawt smexy guys". xp ) 3. To create an accent.
I don't do it to be cute. xp sweatdrop
EDIT: Though I do use l33t-sp33k or LOLcat talk if I'm feeling silly sometimes.

What makes you think that some people -don't- use such terms in real life? I've heard "smexy" out loud before.

I cringe at all slang for that reason, not just slang I've seen on the internet. All slang is a besmirchment of the English language regardless of whether it originated in face-to-face interaction or the internet.
This actually somehow reminds me of how in high school, people would sometimes greet you with "waddup holms?".... to which my response was, "Nothing, my dear Watson."
