.¸¸.•´´¯`•Laili finished up her stretches with Nani as she listened to Candace split them up and introduce the new vice captain which, unsurprisingly, was Chance. She tried not to dwell on that too much and instead took off at a jog for her laps and once those were done, quickly grabbed her broom to do her laps in the air before finishing and waiting in the middle of the pitch for the quaffle toss. Once it was up, she shot for it hoping to reach it first.

Mary initially hung back nervous about going straight for the quaffle with the older Hufflepuffs doing so before she got the confidence to move forward. The boy Lucian got the quaffle first and Mary determined this was her chance to prove herself by attempting to steal. She doubted no matter how good she was this year she'd be on the starting team but she wanted to at least make reserves and to do so she had to prove herself. Rushing forward she reached out hoping to steal.

It was a very close call but that's okay, Lucien narrowly dodged the blondie girl's attempt to steal. Phew. Now that he's nearing the goals, he called Nani out and passed the ball to her.

She was basically bracing for impact when Chance saved her allowing her to swing around and follow Lucien down the pitch. She got lucky that he was passing it to Nani she reached her hand out to attempt to get the quaffle
