Her first year trying out it just seemed that she and Leo ended up snagging the ball from one another the entire time. But that was the past, this was the present but it still looked like her friend had the quaffle! She zoomed after her and had just gotten close when she threw it to Arianna. She watched the younger boy first attempt a steal and then she went on the other side to attempt as well.

Celaena was running down to the pitch. She couldn't believe she was so late! The fourth year had been studying really late into the night by accident and then overslept when her alarm didn't go off because she had fallen asleep on her textbooks and hadn't turned the alarm on. The blonde couldn't believe herself and her stupidity. She wondered what the turnout looked like. Probably as good as every year right? She may not even have a place any more because of her tardiness.... She bit one of her lips as she got to the gate and stepped inside to see a great turnout and an even better ratio of players in the air playing. She rubbed her temple a little as she went to the forms and filled one out. She wasn't the only one late by the looks of it either. Because another girl was running onto the pitch.

Nina wasn't happy. She had spent the last three hours in the hospital wing. At the least she had gotten rid of all the coughing and fever and such. But she couldn't talk. Let alone make a sound. She was late because she had gotten sick and now? She was paying the consequences she assumed. She headed down to the pitch quickly, so as not to make her condition come back.... And noticed Celaena was also late. In fact, the older girl was sprinting down to the pitch. Another moment or so and Nina was also on the pitch writing on the form. She waited for the Captain, Toby, to come and give her a place or tell her to go home. She would have hated that... But at the same time, she couldn't blame him either.

Toby hadn't even gotten back up in the air to continue supervising when he saw Celaena and Nina coming. He was a bit surprised- they were rarely late, but they were both here now. He turned around to deal with them both, rubbing the back of his head. "Look, you guys are too late to join this round of the game, but I'm ending it soon-ish, and you both can play them." He felt sort of guilty about not being able to squeeze them both in when he had just found Alex and Bella positions, but what the two girls wanted and were used to playing were either taken up or would make the teams uneven. And, he reminded himself, it wasn't his fault they were this late. He nodded towards the nearby lower stands for them to sit, and got back in the air to make sure the rules were still being followed, though he for the most part trusted the players.
