Gikishou nodded and kissed his forehead before heading to his own classes, looking forward to lunch. He went through his classes, wishing that they would go faster so that lunch would come sooner.

At some point, the lunch bell finally rang and Kyo dashed out of the classroom. He could hear his fellow students shouting in surprise, for he was usually the last person to leave. Even the teachers seemed confused as he rushed by them.

Gikishou made it to the lunchroom quickly, smiling when he saw Kyo. "What lunch do you want? I'll get it for you." He told him, his own classmates and teacher not surprised that he was so quick to get out of class.

Kyo glanced at the school menu for a moment, but then he frowned. "It's the school's annual Cinnamon Day today, so everything could be contaminated..." How could he not have remembered? It had never happened before.

He paused. "Oh... right, I forgot about that..." He smiled some. "I'll take you out to eat." He decided. "It should be fine if we tell them about your allergy." He was surprised that they even had a holiday like this since he was sure there were other people in the world that were allergic to cinnamon. "And we'll have whatever you want."

"You mean, we're leaving the school temporarily?" Kyo asked, wondering if he heard right. It probably wasn't the case and he may have just misinterpreted the words, but it didn't hurt to ask.

He nodded. "If there's a chance that there will be cinnamon in your food, then we won't eat here. I'm not taking the risk of you having another allergy attack." He told him seriously.

"But surely we can wait until after school. It's not like we haven't eaten in days," Kyo said, very unsure about Giki-san's idea. "And at this point school is nearly finished."

Gikishou sighed. "Kyo, we had nothing but carbs this morning, and we'll be ice skating today. That means we need to get some protein in you, as well as a full meal at the proper time. You want to keep your grades up, right? Besides, if you don't want to break the rules, then I can always go alone to get you some food."

"B-but..." Kyo said nothing, unable to think of a good argument. Of course, he wouldn't want Giki-san to get in trouble, at least alone, but he did not want to leave campus during school hours either.

Gikishou kissed his forehead. "Kyo, either way, you need to eat." He found a teacher and explained the situation. She agreed to let them leave campus, and GIkishou smiled. "See? It's fine." He told him.

Kyo just sighed in relief. Perhaps he was just worrying too much. But he did wish they could have waited until after school to eat. Just one day of having a late lunch or something wasn't harmful.

Gikishou led him back out to the truck. "If it'll make you feel better, we can just go through a drive thru and come back here to eat." He offered. He could tell that Kyo was skittish, but he had to get some food into him. His little love was scrawny and looked underfed already.

"I guess that's a good idea," Kyo replied, a little less uneasy. "At least we have a better chance of getting to our next classes on time when lunch ends." It didn't really matter how they spent their lunch time at this point. If there was one thing he knew, it was that Giki-san's mind was hard to change when it was set on something.

He nodded and drove them to a burger king. For himself, he got a mushroom swiss burger. He turned to Kyo. "What would you like?"
