"No one was doubting you, Remus," Lily assured gently. "We just wanted to be sure." She placed a reassuring hand on Remus's shoulder. "We're worried about you."

"Yeah I'm sorry I offended you. I hoped you weren't carrying that monster's baby."

Remus nodded. "Sorry." He smiled at Lily. "I'll be fine. I mean me and Sirius have James' parents and I'm sure I could convince you and James to look after the baby occasionally if we needed."

Lily smiled. "Of course. After we leave school of course," she added.

Sirius nodded, a grim feeling overcoming him. Having Remus be pregnant felt like one of the worst things that could have happened. He sighed and laid his head on Remus's on his shoulder.

Remus glanced up at Sirius. "Will you excuse us for a minute? Siri can I talk with you in the hall?" He asked softly.

Sirius nodded and stood, following Remus into the hall. "What's wrong, baby," he murmured.

Remus wrapped his arms around Sirius' waist and looked up at him. "I was going to ask you that. You seem so distant now. Have you changed your mind about wanting to keep the baby?" He didn't want to stop holding on to Sirius because it made him feel better knowing there was someone he loved so much right by his side with him.

"I don't know, Remus," Sirius answered honestly after a few minutes of silence, unable to look Remus in the eyes. "I mean, we're still only fifteen. Do we want to start a family already?"

"I don't know. I want what's best for our baby though. I just don't know what that is right now. Maybe a werewolf couple could adopt the baby."

"That doesn't sound like a good idea. How many werewolf couples are we going to find that won't raise the kid to be like Greyback? Let's... Let's keep it, okay?" He leaned against Remus, sighing. "We're both going to go grey long before our time. Do you know that?"

"We don't have to decided right now Siri. We have a few months to think about this. I don't want our relationship being destroyed over this either."

"Remus Lupin, no matter what we decide, I will be by your side the entire way," Sirius vowed, slightly shocked that his boyfriend would even begin to think he'd let even something like this come between them.

"I know you will. I just mean you seem so sad now and I don't like that. I want you to be the happy guy I fell in love with."

"I'm not sad. Just confused. It's one of those situations where I wish I were a dog full time. Dogs have it easy in this respect. They get pregnant and have the pups. There is no "maybe we shouldn't" or "these are the reasons why we shouldn't". It makes life easier, you know?"

"I know. But please don't going changing into a dog I need you as my boyfriend not as my pet." He smiled and kissed him.

Sirius didn't respond for a heartbeat. Then, a smile broke across his face and a chuckle escaped. "You're cute, but don't worry. I won't go changing into a dog. Once a month is enough for me. I can't seem to get rid of those blasted flees. I don't know how you don't have them, too."
