Well. So long as it's well written. I used to be disturbed by it but then I thougt 'I really should keep an open mind about stuff like this' So I read a ItachixNaruto story-yea, I know it's really cracky- and I liked it. So now I like it. So long as the author can writre well otherwise it's just junk.

I love the idea of male pregnancy, myself. I have actually written several fanfiction pieces based around the very idea. One of my novels involves an entire culture of male-male couples, with on man being the child bearer. I will not bore anyone with the rather graphic details of how all of this came to pass, but, I had a lot of fun in writing each and every word.
The few things about MPreg stories that I find horribly annoying are constants, among fanfictions. No one is ever happy that a baby is on the way. Granted, it is not an every day occurance, but... There is always so much angst over whether the father-figure will help, or, whether the mother-figure can do it without said father-figure. Now, yes, I do understand that a real pregnancy often involves these worries. Lately, however, it seems to be a cliche. Nearly every time that I click to an MPreg story, I can already figure out - just from the first sentence, mind you - how this will happen.
Beware My Nonsense
Boy meets boy. Boy falls for boy. Boys get with the unprotected business. 'Bottom' gets pregnant. 'Mother'-to-be angsts, cries, and, tries to hide the pregnancy, generally by either running away, or, breaking up with the 'father'-to-be, without any explanation. 'Father' angsts, cries, misses his lover. 'Father' hunts down mother, and, begs for another chance/demands an explanation - OR, my personal favorite, *sarcasm* - the baby is already born, (and, looks just like his Daddy), the 'father' is shocked, the 'mother' explains the entire mess, with tears from all parties, and, they live happily ever after... With absolutely no hitches, whatsoever.
End My Nonsense. Thanks.
The other bit that drives me batty is the term 'butt-baby'. In other words, the baby is born by passing through the rectum. One: Ow. Two: ...Well, I think that it goes without saying that this is just not a pleasant idea. Is something wrong with a good old Caesarean section? It is far less mind-boggling than the previously stated method. I just wish that the idea would be thought out, more thoroughly, BEFORE the author plunges into the story.
All righty. That concludes my opinion. I do not mean to direct this at anyone, in particular. I have - believe it or not - read quite a few MPreg stories that I have adored. (However, due to rating rules, I can not openly recommend them). I simply feel this way about the MPreg following, in general. This is merely one eccentric author's opinion. Thank you. heart

I actually don't mind the stuff....
the few fanfics i've read with are naruto based and they have a pretty plausible explanation why said male got pregnant
i'm not sure if it would bother me if it was just "whoops he got pregnant" with no explanation.... but then again i doubt it...i've been seriously desensitized to alot of stuff.....

I'm guilty of reading and writing it. Most of the characters are never human so I guess that makes it somewhat better.

I'm a Maieusiophile, so drawn to normal pregnancy by default. There's something about mpreg though that makes me melt. whee

I always thought it was stupid. It's never going to happen and usually the plot around it doesnt make sense.

Not my kind of thing. It seems kind of silly to be honest. Don't get me wrong, I am pro gay people getting the permission to have children, but why not adopt one? confused
I'd love to see a Yaoi anime/manga where the couple adopted a child and raised it; that would make me melt. redface

Knowing that it's something you created. And plus with anime, how often is it that normal things happen?

Isn't there something rewarding about having an adopted child as well? I just stated that Mpreg is not something I like; got nothing against those that do though.
