They are just used to make you teeth pretty I guess.
But I'd say it kinda help tighten the braces more. Thats just me. >.<
When they take the colours off it hurts a bit. But they are fun to have. xD

I don't they give you them the first time you have them but theres a chance They'll give you them next time you go for a check-up. They some times take the colours off cause you don't brush clean enough. It rarly happened I guess. =/ Well it didn't happen to me yet. x]

I noticed in one of my middle school pictures (when I had braces) that the color band thingies kind of... reflected their color onto my teeth. >.< Therefore... my teeth looked BLUE. gonk

...and then I always had silver or grey color band thingies. X____x
