My friends and I got into Gundam Wing when it first came out. One of my friends read 1x2 fanfics, and introduced me to them. We started out with shounen-ai, but then decided to try our luck with a yaoi lemon called Dancing Lessons.
We were so shocked, yet intrigued at the same time. And we've been hooked ever since.

fear the ninja! FEAR HIM! I once saw a fanfic in the Resident Evil part of FF.net and it said 'StevexLeon YAOI' I was really confused and checked it out, the othor had the consideration of explaining what yaoi was so I was a little weirded out and before I even knew it I was eagger for updates and in the kiss scene I felt a weird thing in my chest and I realized I loved Yaoi (and then comes the lemon XD I clicked out inmediatly though he explained what it was I skiped the explanation, but then got onto it too)

my first reaction was, i think it was to a fanfiction on fanfiction.net... that is sooo wrong, they(insert two characters that i never ever thought would even look at each other) would NEVER fall in love... i was also very surprised that so many people actually liked it... so after getting used to the thought i checked it out, but with a pairing that i thought was more possible and was hooked. now a third of the stories that i read are slashy and i love them wink boy love is sooo nice xd heart domokun

I was 11 or 12 and I really liked Yugioh at the time. While I was on a Yugioh fansite, I saw a lot of fanarts of Kaiba and Jonouchi biggrin . Later on I started reading a lot of fanfics about them, and you probably get what's happpening :]

I had some internalized homophobia issues when I first learned about it.
My reaction was pretty much, "What! Why do girls (or anyone) look at this? Why not just watch/read something normal?"
I was repressed in a lot of ways then, but I think it mostly had to do with me not wanting to acknowledge any form of homosexuality because I didn't want to admit to myself that I liked boobies. sweatdrop
I didn't start enjoying it until I opened up and accepted myself. I started with reading fanfics and things, mostly. Now, I can't get enough.

I think I was born to love yaoi because I've always been attracted to boy/boy so when I found that there were books, fanfics, and even anime on them I went slap happy. My first encounter with yaoi was making a yaoi fanfic of Gren and Vicous of Cowboy Bebop.
