They are just something people call STEREOTYPES and for short they are LABELS or better yet CLIQUES.

Me? I don't like labels or Stereotypes. I really don't. They piss me off to be more precise. Because if you do one thing, someone expects you to be that thing for the rest of your god damn life. ******** THAT. It's something called Originality. Be different and be who you are.

Sure a lot of my friends call themselves labels, but me, I say I am Me.

Even though the labels serve a useful social function, by telling us how to approach people and start up conversations, what topics are likely going to interest them and in some cases, what age group they are.

The also act as a warning mechanism, such as if your a member of alt.culture, don't approach a chav and vice versa. Also, its only in high school do different socio-types divide into groups, in college and in fact in the UK, our cliques tend to be a mix bag you could have 2 emo's, a trendy, a punk and metaller all hanging out in one social clique.

Yes you are you, but you, like the rest of us, have a label attached, a specific personna type you put forward, just as we all do, and thats what gives us our labels.

And yes, whilst true you can't always judge a book by its cover, 90% of the time you can.

and before we went on trips
where we had to wear unforms
the chief would be like..
"ok!! no unnatural fingernail polish!!"
then he'd look at me and be like..
"that means you have to wipe off
your gothic nails"
