I CAN'T THINK OF A TITLE HELP

Horace can harness the electricity ambient around him. By putting his hands together then drawing them apart, he creates arcs of electricity which can then be hurled at stuff.


I think you've got the same sort of problem Ami had with her original version of Lily's power. Riser things are things that are still passive, but centered around the character rather than being something the world does for them. I'm not entirely clear on if this has a will component, or if it happens every time Horace puts his hands together and draws them apart? If it happens every time, it's fine and I can approve, but if it doesn't, then you need a couple rewrites for it. Maybe a different summoning gesture or something? (I think the commonality of the hands-together thing. Horace, plz don't applaud for people, you are banned to snaps 4eva)

As for names--IDK, I keep thinking about bats and gothic horror. Frankenstein's Alarm Clock or something.

Horace's hands now conduct electricity super-efficiently and at no health risk to himself. Of course, every charge has to go somewhere, though... So anything else he might be touching gets the transferred charge.

Requirements for the power can be found under 'power claim 2'!

Astral Force (Original) - Shiloh can mark otherwise unmagical civilians and allow them access to, and use of, one of his powers. He cannot stack marks to grant someone all of his powers. A civilian may only be marked by one person at a time; the old mark will "break" when a new mark is applied. Shiloh's specific mark is a splash of gold freckles along the cheeks/nose/shoulders of his intended individual. Innocuous enough at a glance, but they bloom into tiny little buds whenever the user casts the magic he's granted them!

Cassandra can now open any lock that she has physically handled the key for. This effect only works for the last 7 keys she's handled (which includes her own keys, which she she has 3 of). She cannot use this effect to start anything (such as a car). OOC permission is required.

Trouble Change

    Old Trouble: @!&$ your mold

    It has never failed, even when he was younger, that Jeremiah has rankled against being labeled or placed into some sort of mold. Whether it was fitting into the perfect gentleman that his mother wanted or the amazing football player (and don't think for a minute it's American football, what's wrong with you) he could have been, he rebelled against it. It's been a point of contention forever, even causing him to abandon his home across the pond and find a place for himself in Ashdown years and years ago.

    Even then it was a place that he made. Where there are cliques and groups, Jeremiah makes his own and it can make enemies as quickly as it can make friends. Worse, in the end, the British man finds he would sometimes just want to fit in - except that that isn't him and the cycle of self-flagellation begins again as he looks for ways to improve upon his life and make things better.

    As he's made his life here he has found himself with a reputation of being difficult to deal with - another label, another mold - and while it's expected it also means he does not have many friends. It rankles him, drives him batty, but there's little to be done when he's made himself this way. Sometimes he's the one sitting alone, eyes cutting to the others that are able to easily navigate people, but that would involve letting people in and ...

    Well, that's just not him.

    New Trouble: the end is never in sight

    Despite the well put-together, dependable front that Jeremiah presents - the appearance of a man who knows himself, his limitations, and how to carry himself with purpose in every step - he continues to stretch himself thin. His edges may no longer be frayed, instead sharpened by his ordeals, he has a tendency to still bite off more than he can chew. He continues to learn that he may have to take a step back, to breathe, or he will find himself sinking when there's no time to do so. With his responsibilities on both sides, as Chief of Police and a Noble of the Court, there are only so many hours in a day.

    But being entrenched keeps him going, and he thrives on the fact that there is a continual goal to be reached. He is fueled by the need to keep those close to him safe and pulled along by every connection he's made along the way (even if those connections and those close to him are what keep him grounded).

    He remains well aware that with power come responsibility and, in this case, changes there may be no going back from. The magic takes it's toll and there may be no return as the rabbit hole gets deeper.

      Reason for Change: it's been a long time coming and jeremiah's no longer so concerned about fitting into a mold (or breaking out of one) whereas he now has to deal with the fact that he is caught up with everything that is going on (and the trouble that comes from that).

    Old High Concept: the ornery detective

    Jeremiah is very much the hard-nosed detective. Blunt and to the point, he does not mince words. It's not that he is above small talk, it's that he hates bullshit (and there is a massive difference between bullshit and lying and god help you if he finds out you're lying to him without a good reason). With him being so blunt it also means he is painfully honest, sometimes to his own detriment and occasionally others.

    New High Concept: the open-eyed inquisitor

    Shaped by the trials that are behind him, Jeremiah has lost most of the insecurities that plagued him. Eyes opened to the knowledge that the world is not what it appears, he continues to question and pursue the truth with a single-minded purpose to see things through. Whatever it takes to make these cycles end, to see the cage open and walk into the dawn of a day outside of it, is what must be done. To do anything less is unacceptable and a betrayal to those who have been lost along the way and the sacrifices that have been made.

      Reason for Change: quest completed for high concept change is here! while perhaps he will always be ornery, jeremiah has moved beyond that. he is, at his core, a man searching for the truth and to see things through and this high concept change is an evolution that shows that.
