Ami's spine went rigid as Kat hugged her, her eyes threatening to squeeze more tears out, but they didn't come. In one memory, she'd been hugged and stabbed through the back. She didn't move, just sort of stayed there trying to find her breath as a wave of nausea came over her.
Luckily Kat let go, but Ami still quietly said, "Don't ... don't touch me." It was weird enough for Ami to be touch-friendly with people. It was even worse when she had horrible, fake memories attached to it.
So did that mean Kat went through the same torture she did? No, her disposition said otherwise. Kat was smiles and giggles- same as usual. The logical part of her told her that was good- Kat shouldn't have to see the things she'd seen.
She was about to respond again, but then she noticed Wilson gently waking Madeline up. Oh ... oh that sent both waves of jealousy and sadness through her as she recalled the semi-sweet moment where Wilson had actually said yes. She pursed her lips and rubbed her earlobe, fighting back the urge to cry in front of Kat.
"I ... I'm sorry you had to see those things, Kat," was all she could say.
Marcus started making a great show of himself, but Ami was her normal cynical self. "I'm here Marcus but ... tone down the bravado. There's no point." She was still saying the same thing she'd said from day one. She was prepared to die here, again, because this was another memory. "As some point they're going to kill one of us, possibly all of us, things will go dark and then something new will start, and I'll have to sit and watch it all again." As she spoke, her tone got quieter and quieter until she was eventually mumbling to herself like a crazy buffoon. "That's kind of like Gamma, that's sort of like the Atlantean equivalent of E that's-..."

Wash let his hands fall into his lap, with a sigh that was very nearly a sob. His next words were quiet, so that only his cellmate might hear him. He ignored the voices of the others. He had to tell Jerry - had to... To confess. It had been his fault, hadn't it? He was confused, uncertain; lost.
"They- they burned her. There was...acid. Then lava. They kept killing her. There were- were mouths. So many teeth. Said it was my fault. My," he swallowed bitterly, spitting out the word, "Pride."
"She couldn't die. That woman wouldn't let us die." He stopped for a moment, clenching and unclenching his hands. "I can still hear her."
He looked into his friend's face, eyes haunted.
"This isn't an illusion. This is Hell."

"Ah.." At her order, Kat removed her hands from her shoulders and let them fall back down to her sides. "Sorry.." Giving her a little space, Kat moved back a little, leaning against the bars. She had no idea what kind of horrors they had gone through, so it was probably best she no overwhelm Ami for the time. Pulling her legs back, she hugged them to her, resting her cheek against her knees. "I'm sorry we didn't get here sooner."
It came to mind, whether or not that Ami and the others were mad at them for not coming sooner. If they were, she couldn't blame them. Stuck in this hell hole as long as they had been, she might be damn well pissed at a lot of things as well. That was to say if she was even mad..she just looked..broken. It was such a change from what she had been, it was almost shocking.
"Never mind about me! I'm just sorry you guys suffered here by yourselves for as long as you did, and that the rescue mission has a..uh..a bit of a hiccup." She smiled sheepishly, not sure what to say on that matter. The division leads and other hunters were still out there..somewhere. So hopefully something was going right on this mission.
Kat listened quietly as Ami spoke to Marcus, giving her a little bit of insight on what had happened to them. Well, it made sense on why Ami was the way she was. Madea must have been having a riot making Ami and the others go through her little 'illusions', especially when they felt so real to them.
Breaking from her train of thought, she grew more concerned when Ami started speaking random gibberish. "Ami..?" :She's cracked.: Wouldn't you, if you had been in her position? Now was not the time for Xedis' snide remarks.
