She wasn't going to give up. "no its.."
It was one of those moments when you think your going to do something outragous and you think you don't. but your idea is actually, physically playing through and it takes a moment to realize it. Gabriella had been thinking something no engaged girl should. But technically she was in a big pickle and the candle light in Daryn's eyes were driving her madly insane! IN the good kinda way.
It wasn't untill after Gabe was kissing him that she realised she was..She wasn't forcing him to kiss back, it was just her typical angel kiss...a cuddlers kiss.Like she could just keep kissing him kinda kiss. man! she had only kissed him twice and she was addicted..it was happening all over again!

Daryn was a little surprised but at the same time he wasn't. He only knew that his mind hadn't caught up with his body until a few moments later. He was kissing her back, which he didn't mind. The fact that she was engaged was another thing. Even as he thought to pull away, he only placed a hand on her cheek and shifted so he could keep his balance better.
Aw what the h***..
He thought and threw caution out the window. He was only half aware that he was straddling her partially but due to the balance issue, he was kissing her from above, one hand on the headboard.

Gabe kept going with it. HEr body wanted him to keep kissing her. She wanted him to kiss her. It was all right...wrong. She was engaged and her mind was screaming at her. But her heart didn't want to stop. She couldn't do this! Could she? She was so confused again.
Gabe regretted thinking, But she slowley pulled her lips away from his. She could feel her face flame up and her gut making her want to cry but she bit her lip. She was still close to him. Her heart racing as she opened her eyes. "I'm sorry" she whispered.

Daryn just stared at her, slightly out of breath. His heart felt as if it would hammer through his ribs as he looked at her. She was still just inches away and it was all he could do not to kiss her again.
"For what?"
Normally he would have smiled a little but instead he found himself brushing a feather light kiss over her lips again. Finally, he realized the full picture of what they were doing and he flipped over so that he was just sitting beside her.
"I'm a man of my word. I didn't control myself so if you want to leave then we can."
He said a bit quietly as he stared at the blanket. He had a moderate blush on his cheeks.

Gabe was torn. She knew she had to stay with Jason for her mothers sake. but she wanted to be with Daryn so bad! She thought of herself being selfish if she took Daryn. But her mother would understand right? But what would Jason do.
Plus she felt bad because she made Daryn break his promise. Plus they just got there. She had so many things running through her mind. But one thing was evident.She was in love with Daryn. She always was. Jason..was just something she ried to make herself love. She sat up a little as she thought. "But we just got here.." she whispered.
Gabe looked over at Daryn, he was blushing! She felt really bad now. SHe scooted closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder. She waited a few moments before looking up at him. "Maybe I didn't want you to control yourself.." she was still unsure of everything. But she was going to spend this week with him like she wanted. How moral or immoral it was.

Daryn sat in silence and waited for her to say she wanted to leave and he could just make out a clock ticking away the seconds as if in slow motion when she said the complete opposite of what he expected to hear.
When she placed her head on his shoulder and said what she did, he couldn't help but blush more. He felt butterflies in his stomach and even gulped inaudibly as he looked down at her with surprised green eyes.
"Uh... you don't want..."
He looked around slowly as if afraid of getting caught.
"Did you actually want me to....?"
He didn't know what to think now. He knew he would never love anyone as much as he did Gabriella, but she was engaged so he couldn't be with her.... right? He felt confused, not even realizing that once again, they were only a couple inches away.

Gabriella sat there a moment debating what to say. She was still figuring things out. Her finger traced her naked ring finger again. She hated the damn ring Jason got her anyway. Plus Daryn didn't hit her. He really knew her. She felt stupid the way she was saying things. She was just so jumbled and tired and her adrenaline was rushing. "I..I-i" she took a breath. "I don't want Jason..I'll figure it out with mom. I just.." she looked up at him.
Gabe pulled away to look at him and sit up straight. She fiddled with her hair whenever she was thinking. Her hands were tangled in a strand. "I don't..I don't want to Marry Jason.." she looked at Daryn. "I want you. I know its selfish..but. I can't lose you again." she had tears in her eyes.

"Gabe... I... Ditto."
Was all he could say. Seeing the distress she was in however, he pulled her into a tight hug.
"I'll help you. I'll be with you when you tell him no. I want to save you from him."
He whispered to her and pulled back to kiss her quickly but sweetly.
"There's one more thing. That fight we had? I want to forget about it. I don't want it to be hovering between us constantly as a reminder of how stupid we were."
Daryn said and looked at her seriously again.

Gabe nodded and layed her head on his shoulder. It was more out of habit then instinct. Whenever she wanted to cuddle she layed her head on his shoulder. She had been doing it since she could remember. "Deal" she took a deep breath. "Just let me tell mom...?" She knew she was going to have a hard time telling Dawn. But she was the one who had too.
Gabe glanced over at her cellphone on the windowsill.She could easily call right now. But she didn't want too. She was soo tired. She was dozing on him right now. She nuzzled into him a little more and closed her eyes. "I just...wanna sleep..hold me" she muttered. She fell asleep

Daryn nodded in promise. He saw her glance at her cell phone but then she started dozing off. She would have tipped over if he hadn't wrapped his arms around her. He couldn't believe what was happening. Was he actually going to get the girl he'd always wanted?
Laying down carefully, he got comfortable and let her head rest on his shoulder. He laughed inwardly at his memories.
As small kids, he'd always teased her about having girl germs.
He'd bug her about it until she was red in the face and once she even flailed her little fists at him, running off crying afterwards.
He had felt so bad that he got his mom to make her favorite cookie recipe and brought over a huge container full as an apology.
He remembered how her face had lit up and he smiled before closing his eyes and snuggling closer to his Princess. Melody woke up and decided she felt left out, so with an indignant mew, she walked clumsily over the blankets and curled up in a small space between them.

Gabe slept peacfully, snuggling into the man of her dreams. Literally. She had been the dope who used to right his name all over her journal. She even went as far as planing there wedding out. But after the fight she trashed everything. But that was over. Gabriella snuggled into him a little more before slipping into the dreamless abyss.

Jason was at a party with somefriends. A new girl on his lap, luaghing it up with a few beers. In the back of his mind he was thinking about how Gabe had reacted to him hitting her. She had always taken it fine. But she hadn't called. At all. It was really getting to him.But that didn't stop him from hitting on this new girl ..and getting her into bed.
It wasn't untill later that night his phone rang. He thought it would be gabe calling. but instead it was her mother. "Hello?" He glanced over at the sleeping blonde who's name he had already forgotten.
"Oh. i'm sorry to have waken you Jason. But have you gotten ahold of Gabriella?She must have her phone off"
"No i havn't. She hasn't called me since she's gone to your house. Is everything okay?" he faked the concern.
"Oh yes. But wait? My house? Oh Jason. She's at the cabin with Daryn. Didn't she tell you?" Dawn listened for a few moments.
Jason tensed. "Oh, thats right I forgot. Well, i'll try to get ahold of her tommorow. I'll let you know If I do" He said a few more sweet things. Then hung up.

The next morning, daryn was woken up when his cell phone rang loudly on the nightstand. Reaching over with a free hand, he picked it up and looked at the caller ID.....
Beverly Hills Hospital
Snapping awake, he immediately answered.
"Hello? This is Daryn Torelli."
He spewed.
"Hello Mr. Torelli. We have news about your father. There's been a change in his brain activity and we believe that his chances of waking up have increased. Now it's not for certain, but we'll be monitoring him very closely to see if he improves further."
Daryn was relieved.
"Thank you very much. I appreciate all you're doing for him."
He said with a lump in his throat. The nurse said she would call him if anything happened, wished him a good day and hung up.
Daryn just lay there. Things seemed to slowly be working out. He only hoped his good luck didn't run out. Looking over at Gabriella, he wondered if the conversation had woken her up. Melody was looking at him with half closed eyes before she stretched and rolled over. He laughed a little at her.

The phone and woke Gabriella up. but she kept her eyes shut. She was known to sleep in through anything. She snuggled her pillow and stayed where she was comfortable. She was kinda upset that he had moved and she couldn't cuddle with him. but oh well. She slowley reached over and scratched melody's belly gently. Then she chuckled and pulled her closer to her "five more minites mommy.." she joked and closed her eyes again.
Jason was up and packing. He had gotten the blonde out of the apartment and was getting ready for a road trip. He had already called Dawn. Sweet little thing she was gave him directions. He'd be heading out as soon as he was done with work.

Daryn chuckled at her and brushed her hair away from her face.
"That was the hospital Princess. They said that dad is improving."
He told her and cuddled up to her with Melody still in between.
The kitten in question gently attacked Gabe's hand but was good with keeping her claws retracted.
Daryn remembered his injured toe and looked again at the taping job. It was taped against the other toe and while it felt odd, it wasn't a hindrance. Since he was fully awake now, he decided to get up. Walking over to the closet he began to dig around before pulling out a portable keyboard. It was dusty but it was still in good shape.
He set it up and began to play a soft little song, warming up his fingers.

Gabe laughed at the little kitten. She continued to play with her. "are you going to eat me???" she teased. She nuzzled the kitten gently and glanced over at Daryn.She smiled. She loved it when he played. Which reminded her that when they were little she used to sing with him. but she didn't now. She looked down to Melody. "You hungry? I know I am.." she talked to the kitten as if she was human. People would think her crazy. But she didn't care.
