Personality:
Kinuyo has a very relaxed personality. She's far from the type to get worked up, even in stressful situations, and can always be relied upon as the one to keep a level-head. For the most part, this also translates into her daily life and attitudes, however there are a few comments that will get her angry, such as an insult to her tiger companion, Nobu. Other than Nobu, Kinuyo feels little dedication or trust towards anyone else; she would die for Nobu, but would rather live as a rogue than die for her village. Because of lack of trust, Kinuyo usually distances herself from others, and doesn't really have any close friends. However, she is by no means anti-social, and is an enjoyable person to spend time with. Sarcastic and witty, Kinuyo is the person in conversations who usually comes up with the quickest remarks. But Kinuyo is not all sarcastic remarks and detachment from relationships. Though independent, Kinuyo does have a more feminine and sensitive side.

Despite her lack of devotion to her village, she never gives up and fights every battle for death or glory and would never betray her village if it means losing a fight. Her heart and will are stronger than many more dedicated members of her village, and for this reason she is still a valuable asset. With Nobu at her side, the two are practically unstoppable in their resolve. However, everything can be stopped. Kinuyo and Nobu have yet to find the road block of their resolve, however they both know that whatever it might be will be an almost insurmountable challenge.

It was snowing. She usually acknowledged the snow, but today it pelted her back relentlessly while she paid it no mind. Blood. The ground was coated in blood, some hers, some that of others. Weak. She was weak; there was nothing in her power that she could have done. Lost. What was left? A new path? A new life? The crimson staining the snow glistening in the white tundra of the Snow Country. A strong wind blew the flakes over the few other corpses. Death. Dying here would be easy. But... she wanted to live. The snow crunched behind her. A great orange creature approached, providing yet another contrast on the bleak horizon. His paws sunk into the snow, dropping his height by a few inches. Even so, he still towered over the young girl. No words were spoken. A child and a tiger could not communicate even if there was something to say. The tiger gingerly grabbed the girl by her collar, raising her onto his back. She did not protest: she was still too stunned by everything that had happened to fight back against the great feline. Thus, the tiger carried her from her old life to her new.

That was ten years ago. The tiger carried me to the Hidden Leaf village, and hasn't left my side since. I don't remember what happened early in my life, just a few glimmers of a past that shine through. But I remember my clan, that we honored great cats such as Nobu--my tiger companion--and that a lucky few members were the masters of such cats. Ha, I wouldn't call myself Nobu's master. It seems as thought it was more of his choice than anything to follow me. I wasn't strong when I was the little girl he met, and I surely didn't have any sort of political or public standing for him to be attracted to. Maybe he was amused by me? Saw some sort of potential? I can't ask him. Not because we can't communicate, but because it just doesn't seem like the thing you would ask someone. Nobu's reasons are his own. I suppose I should just feel lucky that he didn't abandon me in the tundra. Sometimes I think it was my fate to die in the snow, and Nobu only saved me as an insult to fate. Or maybe it was fate that brought Nobu to me. Well, what I do know is that Nobu saved my life, and that's a concrete fact.

The great tiger carried her from Snow country to Leaf country, however her arrival was not particularly appreciated. Initially, the villagers avoided the girl and her tiger. But she never particularly minded. She had her tiger, and that was all that she needed. After a few years, the young girl began to attend the village's academy. She was never particularly gifted in her classes, but she did above average. Graduated at the same time as the rest of her class, et cetera... All the while the tiger acted as her guardian and watched over her. And as she would continue through her life, that would never change.
