[Lil Brat]

*Brat slips through the shadows created by the SUV and slips into the building. Moving slowly, she peeks out through the darkness, catching site of Kaoru and Flame as they enter. She'll follow them closely, keeping an eye out on each floor as the elevator goes up.*

L's guards posted at the door raise an eyebrow but let the men pass. One says in a gruff voice where L's office. A man Kaoru knows comes out of the security office and nods to him, escorting them up to her office.

Once up on the roof, the Russian shows her the place where she has a clear shot at L's office. Kat gets her rifle out and finds a comfortable position to wait for her chance.

*Brat follows through the shadows, eyes flicking to the security men and the escort. She catches sight of one of the janitorial staff, noting the way he wipes the floor with his mop, head bent, but eyes moving.*  

[Kaoru Takeshi]

They ride silently in the elevator, and once they get to the top floor, the men exit the elevator. The security guard leads them to L's office, knocking on her closed door three times.

"Come in," L says curtly from behind the door. When Kaoru and Flame enter, she is sitting behind her desk, head bent over, working on what seemed to be paperwork.

She looks up, nostrils flaring when she sees Kaoru, "Kaoru! scream I told you not to come back unti -" eek L is cut short as Flame walks in behind him, a cold smile creeps across her face. "Flame." she says eerily, "I am very surprised to see you." She lowers her voice, though it carries plainly across the room, "Especially after all that late night activity ya'll had been doing." She leans back slightly from her desk, smirking, "You were stupid to leave her."

L returns her attention back to her paperwork, head bending back over it. "Kaoru," L sniffs a chuckle, "How's Kat? twisted " She pauses and glances up at him, eyes mocking, "You are very VERY lucky I keep my deals."  

[Lil Brat]

*Slips through the shadows in the wall, getting a glimpse of the person behind the door while still watching the guards.*  

[Flame Knightmaer]

-unwilling to let her get to him, he knows that dame can take care of herself, and if she does decide to run back to her, then there was nothing he could do about it. Standing there, he waits to see what the hell she wants-  

[Kaoru Takeshi]

His eyes narrow slightly at L.

"You call dragging her a** to Jamaica keeping a deal? I've held up my end of the bargain, now you hold up yours, if you don't mind?"  

[damecharlie]

L snorts, getting up and going to look out the window, "Pffft. She came of her own free will. twisted " She crosses her arms behind her back.  

[Lil Brat]

*Feels a prickle in the back of her neck and grins maliciously, knowing Ivan will be dealing with her. His men can think up ways to torture that could almost make the devil squirm... Almost. Take her to the brink of death, holding by a thread, make her live a little longer, only to start the process over.*

Kat, having had her sight aimed at L's back, blinks as she watches the woman stand and face the window.

"Well, ******** me, something's finally going right." She resists the temptation to shoot her in the head, exhales and aims at her right shoulder. She squeezes the trigger.

A split second later, the bullet crashes the plate glass as it finds it's mark.

Kat gets the next round in the rifle ready, just in case.  

[Flame Knightmaer]

-as soon as the glass breaks, he ducks, turning his head and covering it to keep flying shards from embedding in it. After a moment, he stands back up and looks around, squinting his eyes as the rush of air coming in the top floor window sends paper and debris flying all around, making it a bit hard to see-

*Hears the glass shatter, she eyes Flame and Kaoru quickly to see if they've been hit, ready to assist them if they have. She also eyes L, ready to slide out of the shadows and slam a fist between this beeatch's eyes knocking her out cold.*

L grunts in pain as the bullet embeds in her shoulder, then a sharp intake of breath as glass shatters around her, cutting up her face, neck, and arms, a couple of small shards lodging in her eye. She goes down hard on her injured shoulder, left hand flying up to her eye. She grits her teeth not to cry out in pain.

The man outside her office hears the glass shattering but doesn't know if he should go in or not...she had had a tendency to break things the past week, entrenching things into the walls of her office... sweatdrop His hand hesitates on the doorknob.
