Kyo somehow dreaded the moment the bell would ring. If anything, he might see those glares again and would once again become nervous. He hoped the glares wouldn't return, but he couldn't be too hopeful.

When school ended, Gikishou found Kyo and smiled, kissing him lightly. "How were the rest of your classes?" He asked, wrapping an arm around him.

"They were okay," Kyo said, smiling. He was thankful that there had been no glares, but he had been on constant lookout. Now that Giki-san arrived, he felt relieved.

Gikishou helped him into the truck and buckled him in, kissing him softly before getting in on the driver's side and starting up the car. It didn't start. He frowned and tried again. It still didn't start. He checked the engine and groaned."They put sugar in my engine!" He sighed. "Looks like we're walking, kyo. I'll call a mechanic and a tow truck to take care of this."

Kyo nodded, getting out of the nonfunctional truck. It was terrible that some group of people had done that, but there was nothing either of them could do about it. They never saw who put sugar in the engine, so they can't report that person.

Gikishou saw some fingerprints and got out his phone. "Hey, Jackie. You're in the forensics department, right?" he smiled. "Great, I have some fingerprints for you, can you come to the school? You can give this to your teacher for extra credit or something."

Fingerprints? It seemed that the culprit, or culprits, hadn't thought of that. That was a surprise. Kyo had thought that everyone in the school should know those kinds of things.

Gikishou smiled and waited for Kori to come over, and he looked eager to preserve the prints. "Want me to check the birth records in the school database?" He asked, and gikishou grinned. "You're the best, Kori." Kori laughed. "nope, I'm the best when I give you guys a ride home." He ushered them in the car, grinning.

So it seemed they wouldn't be walking home after all. It was probably a good thing, since they could have been attacked on the way, but Kyo couldn't help thinking maybe they should have walked.

Kori grinned as he drove them to the house, occasionally swerving like an amateur. Gikishou was relieved when they got home unharmed. "Thanks for the lift, Kori." Kori beamed. "No prob!"

Kyo was practically frozen from the driving. He had never liked the swerving of cars, and now he wished they could have walked home.

Gikishou kissed him, carrying him out. "It's okay, we won't ride with him again, we'll just walk." He said soothingly.

Kyo nodded only a little, still scared to death about the ride. He hadn't even blinked once since they stopped, and now his eyes were drying out.

Gikishou made him close his eyes, being gentle and setting him on the couch. "Do you want some water? It might help." He offered gentle, hugging him.

Kyo nodded slightly, still a bit too frozen to speak. Maybe some water would help, since it always seemed to calm him down. It was most likely the very thing he needed after the scare.
