I second "that sounds tasty". I knew someone who made an excellent chocolate pie with some sort of alcohol. I wish I had some now....

I know how to make those tasty Rum Balls! Can get a little giddy on just the smell while making them! Or, maybe it could be the osmosis or absorption of the rum through the palms. Either way, it's really fun to make Rum Balls! blaugh

Uhm I don't know Balls? There's all kinds to choose from, like the hollow Plastic one you make iceCubes from, you could use those and Rum to make little Cold Rum Balls then you could add them to coke to keep your coke cold.

On a more serious note.
RUM BALLS
1 3/4 cups vanilla wafer crumbs 1 cup ground pecans 1 cup confectioners sugar 1/4 cup cocoa 3 Tbsp. light corn syrup 1/4 cup light rum 1/3 cup confectioners' sugar (for rolling) Mix all ingredients, except for 1/3 cup confectioners sugar. Roll into one inch balls and then roll in remaining confectioners sugar to cover. Allow the run balls to refrigerate 24 hours or more to achieve its full flavor.

I think that's the rum ball recipe I have! Supposed to let them sit for 24 hours before eating (if at all possible...) Oooo, they are sooo gooood! blaugh

I love 'em 'cuz you don't have to actually cook. xd And you're right about letting them age. That's why the make a great gift; they get better with time (within reason); so you don't have to be tempted to add extra rum for extra kick. wink

Funny how I always start thinking about cooking with alcohol around Christmas time... Sherry in the trifle, brandy in the Christmas Pud, whisky in the Christmas cake, rum cake and rumtoff and of course, Mulled Wine..... hmmm, no wonder it's my favorite time of year.
