Heard of Rembrandt, but can't say any specific piece comes to mind when hearing the name nor that I know anything about the artist. Can't say that I've ever seen that painting either.

ThisEmptySoul Heard of Rembrandt, but can't say any specific piece comes to mind when hearing the name nor that I know anything about the artist. Can't say that I've ever seen that painting either. Vermeer and Rembrandt are both from around the same time period of the Baroque period of Art. They are both Dutch and painted around the 1600's. They are both quite famous and the style of lighting (painting light vs. shadow) is quite interesting.
