OOC: I'm assuming I got hit as it appears nobody blocked for me

Before Dani could even attempt to line up a shot on the goals, Celaena stripped from the Quaffle from her, and took off for the Gold Team goals. Shortly thereafter Veronica was winging a Bludger at her. Knowing it was coming didn't make the hit any less painful.

The animated cannonball nailed her in the side of her chest, and she was pretty sure she heard something snap, even though she braced herself for the impact. Though injured, Dani was able to take comfort that Arianna was able to catch the Quaffle before it could sail through and score.

Arianna called out to her and she fielded the Quaffle only to have Celaena strip it from her again. 'Yeah, I can see how this season's going to work out for me,' Dani thought sourly, as she threw herself through another tight aerobatic maneuver, and ignored the fact her ribs felt as though they were on fire.

She saw the other Chaser pass off the Quaffle to Leo, whom made another charge toward the goals defended by Arianna. Dani leaned forward as she closed the distance on Leo to try to swipe the ball back from her.

Leonette managed to dodge both Danica and Nina. All she could think was how hard those two were making it. Not that she minded the challenge. They were her teammates in the end of all of this and the tougher they were the better the team would be at the end of the day. Coming into range of the goal Leonette aimed and fired for the right goal. Hopefully this time they'd get it past Arianna.

Toby watched in dismay as his girlfriend blocked the bludger yet again and this time sent it hurtling back towards him. It hit him hard enough to knock the wind out of him for a few seconds and would probably leave some bruising, but as far as he could tell nothing was broken. Great. Leo was already attempting to score again, no one had the quaffle in their position as of right now, and he tried to hit the nearest bludger right back at Ronna. If he could land a hit on her, it might slow her down a little, enough to lay off his team, anyways.

Ronna raised a brow as Toby winced at the hit and then had expected him to aim for more of the chasers but instead he hit a bludger back at her and she took the hit to her side and let out a single curse word and glared at him rubbing her side and snapping, "That's going to leave a bruise for like a week!" Actually it didn't have to because it wasn't like she couldn't have gotten the forming bruise healed a lot quicker. And at least she wasn't coughing blood and there was no broken bones-didn't mean it didn't hurt though.

❁ ❀ ✿Tanya had been flying around flanking the younger years who kept having the quaffle being thrown at them and after Leo who inevitably would steal it from them, and then back again around the younger players who would luckily steal it back. It was like her's and Leo's game of tag their first year! She scowled when her friend actually got the ball and held onto it long enough to throw it to the goals. She hoped that second year could block it, Leo was one of their strongest players for a reason.

Alexandria ran onto the pitch, followed by her step sister. Since the keeper was already very late, she didn't want to waste time bagging on Rosabella. When she arrived, she grabbed a form and filled it out as quickly as possible. The brunette searched the pitch for Crash. It wasn't only to stare at the boy, but he was the captain this year, and she just had to give her form to him. "I hope it's not too late?" she asked, batting her eyelashes lightly.

Rosabella cursed under her breath as she ran towards the Quidditch pitch. She was late again. Was this starting to become a habit? What if she was turning into Alex? Spending any time with her sister during the summer probably rubbed off on her every year. Speaking of the older girl, she was also running late for the tryouts. In fact, she was running right in front of Bella. Upon arriving onto the field, the chaser grabbed a form, filled it out, then looked towards Crash to hand it in right after Alex had done so.

Then the blonde third year passed the quaffle to Leo who was now hurling the quaffle towards the goal. Ari grit her teeth as she stretched forward to block the shot.

Ari couldn't believe her eyes as her fingers wrapped themselves tightly around the large red ball.That makes it twice now! Maybe I should be a keeper instead of a chaser. She couldn't hold back her her massive grin. Leo had thrown a nice shot too. She sent Leo a more apologetic smile before hollering to Tanya. "Tanya! Here!" She tossed the ball to the fifth year.

Ari remembered last years tryout with Tanya on the opposite team. She was a beast of a player and a beast is a compliment in this case. She is definitely a force to be reconciled with. Maybe I should get some pointers from her...

Julius muttered a curse under his breath as the snitch danced away a good inch from his fingertips as he closed his hand-now on thin air. Taking a deep breath he dived forward to attempt to catch the snitch this time-half wondering if a magically enchanted flying golden ball could mock or tease someone as he was fairly sure snitches were apt to do. Well, they were fashioned after some bird that was used first, right? Maybe the snitch enchanters made sure the replacement to a bird had the same personality? He didn't remember much detail about the bird that was used when he saw it as he flipped through his magical creatures text book over the summer. Either way he was going to be annoyed if he didn't at least get close to catching the snitch this time.

Leonette really felt like she could have thrown the quaffle a little better when Arianna catch it. What was wrong with her? Maybe it was a fluke. Shaking off the disappointment she smiled back at Arianna before chasing after Tanya again. If her friend hung onto the ball, she'd be in for an early retirement.
