"I think I need something stronger than wine." She got up and found her bottle of vodka and took a large gulp off the bottle, foregoing the crystal tumbler on the table.

Kaaataaanaaaa... the eerie, disembodied voice spoke again and she whirled around, her gaze finding the sword. She walked cautiously over to it, feeling a ripple of energy as she drew nearer. Speak my name, and all power can be yours..

Strange, she could hear the words, but it was only in her mind. She picked up the sword by the hilt, hefting it slightly, and still in awe of its perfect balance.
