Rumors and Plants (NightWerewolf here)

Alex smiled and nodded agreeing with Eva. "Yeah. We're expecting our own little girl. He said softly and squeezed Eva's hand a little.

"Congratulations." The mother smiled and began to walk her daughter home.

"Thank you." Eva smiled but the father shook his head.

"No, thank you." He said and followed his wife up the hill. Eva and Alex walked back to the house and Eva sat on the couch.

"I can't wait to finally be a mother." She sighed.

Alex nodded and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "I know what you mean. I suppose that was just a preview at being a parent I suppose." He smiled.

Eva wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his shoulder. "Yeah, I guess we did. And you know what? I liked it." She smiled and snuggled closer to him. "But just a few more months."

Alex smiled and kissed the top of her head. "Just a little longer." He agreed with her. "You know what else? So did I." He chuckled softly and rested his head on hers.

Eva smiled and imagined their life with their kids. She snuggled closer to him and closed her eyes.

~~~A few months later~

Eva woke up on her back. Her stomach now a little bigger than it was a few months ago. As Alex slept, she rubbed her tummy gently. She was now three months pregnant and glad to know that there was another heart beating inside of her. By now, the baby inside her would have fingers, toes, eyes and ears and all other ligaments and organs. She looked at Alex's sleeping face and wondered if their baby would have his gorgeous eyes.

Alex stirred slightly before waking up. He rubbed his eyes a little and smiled when he saw Eva. "Morning love." He said and kissed her gently. "How's the little one?"

Eva smiled at his kiss. "Perfectly fine. How's the father?" She giggled as gently took his hand and rubbed her tummy with her other hand.

"Fantastic." He said softly and smiled back at her.

Eva gently rubbed her stomach as she closed her eyes again. Today was a Saturday which meant today was only going to be the two of them. Riley jumped on the bed and Eva looked at her cat smiling. "Good morning to you too, sweetie."

Alex smiled and put a hand over hers as he looked at Riley. "Morning fur ball." He chuckled and pet the cat with his free hand.

Riley purred as she rubbed up against Eva's tummy. "I know." Eva said. "We can't wait for the baby to come either." She looked at Alex and kissed him quickly. "So what shall we do today, my love?"

"Hmmm... What to do, what to do." He chuckled and kissed her back. "Well seeing as it's a Saturday and everything. I'd like to spend some time with you. I don't seem to get a lot of that since you haven't been at work and everything."

Eva wrapped her arms around him as Riley jumped off the bed to give them privacy. She snuggled as close as she could to him. "Well, what would you like to do?" She asked him.
