Asashi grinned when Kujaku exclaimed she was glad to meet him. [ Him! The bunny! She wanted to hang out with him!] He stared as she plucked the book he was reading out of his hands. His eyes widened in surprise when she said that she was reading the same thing. He would have thought being a genin, that she’d be miles away from him in that regards
‘Yeah it’s tougher than I thought’’ he admitted when she mentioned chakra control. He perked up however when she mentioned she’d help him gradute.
‘’You’d do that’’ he said smiling ‘’really’’

                                Jutsu:

INDENTAh. The Academy, his home away from home. Whence more finding himself in the training chambers. Ox → Dragon → Tiger. Each of the three needed hand signs were very carefully preformed, slowly with the utmost of attention drawn upon them. Tiger seal deforming as the boy shook his hands outward to reset and try again. Ox → Dragon → Tiger, once more he started, even slower this time. Getting down the very basics first. Once he felt comfortable the boy moved onto the next, more important step. The three hand signs, Ox → Dragon → Tiger would be preformed once more. Holding the Tiger seal while he inhaled. Hands slowly began to break the Tiger seal, a press one another's palms against each other. Thus beginning the collection of his fire-related chakra. There he stood, charging both his right and left hands with his fire enriched chakra. Storing as much of it as he could within his small palms.

INDENTSlowly, extremely slowly the boy began pulling his hands apart. The collected chakra that was being stored within his hands would be converted and compressed into a tiny sphere of flames, that, the more his hands grew apart, began to be stretched out. Bit by bit the once tiny flame would become a half foot wide, five foot long lance of raw heated energy and flames. Floating between the two spread out palms. Swiftly his right hand would firmly grasp hold of the floating spear of heated flames, tightly clenching it. He charged forwards, preforming a few thrust and swings with the fiery weapon, then a couple of strikes to test its longevity. With a powerful thrust, the spear would be sent hurling forwards, traveling out into the distance. It soared across the air, just over a small lake. Completely ridding it of its watery content, evaporating the water clean, with just the heat that extended up to five-feet around the spear itself. Had it passed by a person, rather than a lake, they would have experienced loss of breath, second degree burns as well as dehydration. Striking onto a rather large bolder. The spear would near instantly 'explode', thus causing the finale. Sending all of it's fire onto the boulder itself. The flames consumed the boulder, it would be completely drenched in intense and powerful flames, crippling flames eroding the bolder itself to its very core. Had Aeleus chosen, he could have maintained the technique in it's spear form, for a total of seven minutes.

INDENTQuickly the young boy began to flash through the seven hand seals, all the while he was taking in several deep breaths. Inhaling as much oxygen as he little bitty lungs could handle. It was not too long after finishing the seventh seal that the young man would finally pull his hands apart, cheeks puffed outwards, lips parting! Exhaling all that he could, the boy, amazingly managed to spit forwards not one, but three large gigantic fireballs! Each matching the size of the Great Fireball Technique, however... In a instant the sphere's of flame would vanish and the young Aeleus dropped to his knees. Inhaling heavily, so much chakra was used it had caught him off guard! Clearly this technique and the Great Fireball one, were two different classes entirely. Shaking his head, the boy sat onto his rear. Deciding to practice his the seven hand signs first. Ox → Monkey → Snake → Dragon → Dog → Horse → Tiger.

INDENTHe played those signs on repeat for several hours. Drilling them in until it become almost second nature to preform them without flaw. Standing onto his feet, he'd give it a real attempt now. Once more he preformed the seven hand signs, each one was perfectly crafted. All the while, as he preformed the seven seals, he took in a mighty deep breath. Evenly distributing the oxygen between both of his lungs, unlike he had done previously. Next, as he preformed the final seal, he held it. Allowing him to mix and infuse his fire enriched chakra with the oxygen that was being stored within his lungs.

INDENTChest expanding. It took about a minute or so before the fusion was complete. The second he was ready, he whipped his head forwards. Releasing forth a mighty string of flames that fanned out into their own individual identity. He had managed to fire not one, not even three, but five fireballs this time! Each was a perfectly shaped, fine-tuned and well crafted fireball, rivaling the strength and even the size of a single Great fireball. The fireballs would travel forwards a bit, before colliding with the base of the mountain itself. Upon contact, the five gigantic fireballs would reach erupt and explode, causing the ones condensed sphere of flames to grow large, doubling it's original size; proving that not only did they match the look of the Great Fireball, they also held it's powerful blasting and erupting power, however instead of firing a single sphere of flames, he could now launch up to five!

Tiger seal held firmly, cheeks puffed outward, lips finally opening. As they widened further away from one another flames began to pour out from the young boy's mouth. Spewing fourth a long streamline of pure flames that traveled forward. This single streamline of fire would break into two branches, one stream heading to the right whilst the other to the left, the main streamline continued forwards via the center. Yet they would not go far as the technique shortly faded away after the formation of the two other streamlines. Leaving Aeleus winded. Sighing to himself the young boy started back on square one, mastering each and every individual hand sign that was going to be preformed within the technique. Ox → Monkey → Boar → Rat → Dog → Horse → Tiger.

INDENTAlmost in slow motion the young Konoha ninja would go over these hand signs, bit by bit until it was engraved within his very soul to preformed the entire string of hand seals without on single error. Once he had gotten used to them, he increased the speed at which they were crafted and worked on the seals further. Once comfortable he moved on. Swiftly the young child started on the seven hand seals, preforming them all quite rapidly whilst inhaling a massive amount of air into his small frame. Much like before, he evenly distributed the now inhaled oxygen within his lungs and once it was stored and kept there, he began to focus his chakra throughout his body. Heating himself up as the fire enriched chakra mixed with the oxygen that he kept locked within his lungs. Alas the process of fire creation was completed and as such the young Aeleus would begin to part his lips. Opening his mouth nice and wide to allow the full deportation of the flames he had forged. These flames would form into a single streamline of fire that instantly shot outwards, like previously. As the streamline of fire traveled forward it would soon after break off into sections, Right, Left and Center, continuing on it's journey forwards. The streamline's of fire were almost snake-like in nature, each individual streamline having a potency of C-ranked, while when combined formed that of an A-ranked assault. Each streamline of fire was about fifteen-feet in width and could manage to travel a range of up to seventy-feet in any direction Aeleus so wished them to go.

Roku approached the academy with a feeling of anxiety in his chest. The boy had never been so nervous in his life. How could he be so nervous when this is what he had wanted for a long time? His hand laid on the door handle as he took a deep breath. ”You got this.” The boy would mutter to himself before opening the door and walking in. There was an exhilarating feeling in the air as he walked through the halls looking for the classroom he was meant to be in. Once he located the room, he took a step in and located a seat. The boy would choose a seat in the middle of the room, so he did not look too eager but, not too lazy either.

Shortly after he took his seat, others started to file into the room and take their own seats. Soon enough a man in his early 20s walked into the room and approached the desk in the front of the classroom. ’This must be my teacher.’ Roku thought to himself as the man seemed to prepare for the day. A couple other students shuffled into the room and shortly the room became full. With that the day began. It was a normal meet your teacher and the other students type day. However, the boy remained attentive throughout the time wanting to learn every bit he could. That way when it came to graduation, he would have no problem going on to become a genin.

Sometime passed soon enough it was about halfway through the day. Most of the time had been spent on the basics of the Shinobi structure. The ranks, the professions, the different types of jutsus, etc. However, it was time to start learning a jutsu or two if the children could handle it. Roku and the other children were brought outside to the lake area so, they could attempt the water walking jutsu. The teacher showed the technique off and explained how to do it. Roku took the time to listen carefully and watch everything that the man did. A few of the braver students decided to go first and attempt the jutsu. Each of them ended up falling into the water. Luckily, there was some towels to the side for each of them exactly for this.

After some more time, Roku decided it was time for himself to try the technique. Roku breathed in through his nose and out through his mouth as he attempted to center himself. The boy made the hand seal shown and started to walk forwards, trying his best to focus his chakra on the bottom of his feet to provide the cushion needed to be able to walk on the water’s surface. The boy’s foot landed on the water and at first it seemed like he was going to be able to do the jutsu on the first attempt. However, after the first couple of steps he promptly fell into the water due to him losing control of his chakra. ’Damn.’ The boy thought to himself as he crawled out of the water to get a towel.

Roku took the towel and dried himself off as he watched the other students continue to attempt the technique. While he was drying himself off, the teacher brought everyone together again. The man was already showing off another technique for the students that were learning a little quicker than others. Roku sighed to himself. ’Am I already falling behind?’ Was the thought crossing his mind at the moment. The teacher proceeded to show the children how they could use the same sort of chakra control to also walk up walls and trees. The students who had already mastered the water walking were given kunai to mark how far they could get up the trees. Meanwhile, the other students would go back to the water walking.

Seeing the other students being allowed to work on another technique gave Roku the motivation he needed to complete the training. The boy once again concentrated on the task at hand. Like the time before he breathed and used the handseal to control his chakra. Roku took a couple steps forward, pushing more chakra to his feet before taking a step onto the water again. Nothing happened yet as he seemingly walked with no issues. A couple more steps confirmed that he had done it. He knew he could not take his focus off the task at hand unless he wanted to fall into the water. Roku walked off the water and picked up one of the kunai with the teacher’s permission. As soon as he had the kunai in hand it began to practice the wall walking technique like the other children.

On his first attempt, Roku was only able to plant a couple of footsteps up the tree before falling. His first make was admittedly not very high. The bruised elbow he had received from falling off the tree would not discourage him though. It made sense to him why these techniques were being taught together as they were mostly the same. However, in order to climb up the tree the boy needed to adhere himself to the tree as opposed to using his chakra to keep him afloat. Roku went for a second attempt then a third attempt and then a fourth. By the fourth attempt the boy had made it little over quarter of the way up the tree. The boy sighed softly, not willing to accept defeat when other children had already made it all the way up the tree and were just waiting for the others.

A fifth attempt was made, the mark on the tree showing more progression. More attempts followed until Roku finally made it to the top of the tree. Once the boy had reached the top, a wide smile spread across his lips. Now it was his turn to watch the last of the students work on the technique to get to the top of the tree. There was a lot of tenacity amongst these students from what Roku witnessed. It was likely due to the war that many of them had been born in. This was the proving ground which each of the students would begin their Shinobi careers. Soon enough each and everyone of the students had made it to the top of the tree. The teacher gathered the students around again and congratulated everyone on their first steps. However, there was still much to learn. With that, the students were brought back to the classroom.

The teacher stood in the doorway of the classroom and as each student walked in, they were handed a piece of paper. Roku took the piece of paper and wondered if they were being tested already on what they had learned for the day. Once the teacher got to the front of the class, he explained what the paper was and what it was for. The paper was chakra paper and it helped the students learn what elements they were capable of learning. All you had to do was put some of your chakra into the paper and it would react according to your natures. Given what clan he hailed from, he would be surprised if it were anything but, fire. Roku focused on the paper and pushed some chakra into the paper. As soon as he did so, the paper split into half. This meant wind was one of his elemental natures. ’What?’ Roku was confused. How was it not fire? The boy was caught by surprise as the now separated papers caught fire and turned to ash. That was certainly a relief. Once each of the students knew what their chakra natures were, they were given an extra credit assignment. To learn a couple techniques from each of their natures and to return once they had done so. The teacher pointed out the wall of scrolls and let the children go to learn.

Roku approached the wall of scrolls with the other children and grabbed on labeled fire and one labeled wind. Once the boy had done so, he walked back over to his seat to see what he could learn. The boy initially picked up the Katon scroll and started to read over it. It looked like there was only a couple of techniques in the scroll that he would be able to learn in the classroom as the others would likely burn the room to the ground. However, the first technique he would learn is Flame-Resistance so he would not burn himself while learning. The boy read the scroll over, studying it very carefully. The boy put the scroll down and pulsed chakra through his body to coat it with a thin layer of Katon chakra. Once the thin layer had been produced, Roku then focused his chakra to make a small spark on his skin to see what would happen. As the spark was produced, Roku couldn’t help but, flinch slightly. However, the boy didn’t feel the burn from the spark which meant both of the techniques were a success. The boy smiled and put the scroll to the side so, he could begin work on the next one.

Fuuton was next. Roku opened the scroll and started to read it over to see which techniques he wanted to learn. The first technique that caught his eye was learning how to hover an item and throw it. It had a weight limit but, even with the limit it seemed like a lot of things could be lifted and tossed. Roku also read over a technique that would allow him to retrieve an item he threw. After reading both techniques, Roku approached the teacher to see if he could get a kunai for his practice. The man pulled out a kunai from his pouch and handed it to the boy, asking him to return it when he was done. Roku then went back to his seat to try the techniques he had saw. A couple of handseals were made and Roku started to use his chakra to attempt to lift the kunai. It took a few attempts before he was able to lift the kunai into the air. Once it was in the air he then threw the kunai forward into his desk. It lodged into the desk pretty well before the boy formed new handseals to try and retrieve the kunai. Time passed as he worked on this, eventually being able to retrieve it as well.

Almost immediately after Roku had finished his techniques, the teacher clapped his hands together to get the attention of the class. The man congratulated everyone on doing a good job and reported that it was the end of the day. The boy smiled softly, it had been a good first day of class. However, there was still much to learn before Roku would be ready to become a genin. The teacher continued to go over a few more quick things to end off the day. There was a quiz of sorts to review the day. It wasn’t a written test but, the teacher would ask questions and the students would answer them by raising their hand. Roku wouldn’t raise his hand as he preferred not to have to speak if he didn’t have to. After, a few questions the teacher dismissed the class and encouraged the students to continue to work on their natures since, he couldn’t be much help with that. The man also encouraged starting to learn techniques from their parents if they had Kekkai Genkais. However, with that the class was sent away. The boy got up and left the room, not participating in the conversations that the other students were having. Roku did return the kunai before leaving.

Roku went back to the academy after a short break. His sensei had mentioned some extra credit for continuing to learn techniques and expanding what knowledge we already had. Since not many people were around currently, he wanted to work on his Katon techniques a bit more. The boy walked to the classroom and grabbed the Katon and Fuuton technique scrolls once again. Once he had these, he decided it was best to go practice out by the lake where they had done their previous training.

The lake seemed to be fairly quiet as no one else was really around currently. Roku walked over to a tree and sat in its shade. The scroll would then be unraveled so he could begin studying the Katon techniques that were there. After some studying the boy stood up so he could then practice the techniques. The first one required a two handed seal to concentrate his chakra into balls of fire. Roku followed the scroll almost exactly as he preformed the technique. As soon as the balls of fire appeared, they would start to circle around him. Roku then released the handseal and moved his hand forward to send them both flying into the lake. With that technique down, Roku moved onto the next one. The boy would clap his hands together, pulsing Katon chakra into them as he did so. He would open them towards the lake so a white flash of fire would be pushed out, designed to blind those who saw it. The last technique required him to mold his chakra into his lungs then breathe it out. Roku took a deep breath and began to mold his katon chakra in his lungs, eventually expelling a burst of flame from his mouth.

With all of the E-Rank katon learned, Roku then needed to move onto Fuuton. For a moment, the boy wondered if anyone else was doing the extra credit. He also wondered if they were doing better than him. Then he started to feel a bit self-conscious. Roku didn’t want to be far behind the others, if anything he wanted to be at the front of the pack. The boy let out an audible sigh as he thought about it. After sometime, there was a flare of motivation that came from him thinking about the other children somehow managing to get ahead of him. It was simply something he couldn’t allow to happen, he needed to graduate with the others on time.

The fuuton scoll would be unrolled so, the boy could begin studying from it. One of the techniques was an advanced form of the clone technique that academy students learned. ’That’ll be great extra credit!’ Roku immediately began working on the clone technique. After sometime, he was able to make a clone with the technique. The boy smiled then moved onto his other techniques that needed to learn. The other techniques mostly built on things he had previously learned so, those would be learned pretty quickly without any real issue. One allowed him to change the direction of a projectile in the air while the other allowed him to stop projectiles in the air that were thrown at him.

Roku took a look around the surrounding area to see if anyone was watching him. When he confirmed that no one was, from what he could tell at least, the boy pulled out a scroll labeled Yozen. The boy had secretly taken it from his mother so he could begin learning their special techniques. Roku would unravel the scroll and immediately begin reading it. He was going to make sure to make his parents proud of him. However, after taking a look he realized he had a lot to learn and these techniques were more complicated than the ones he previously had learned. The boy took a deep breath and started to study over the eleven technique he was going to learn. It sure was a lot but, he was sure he would be able to get them down easily.

The first technique was the key to the others. The boy had to learn how to create tattoos with his chakra that would be used later for other techniques. For a moment he thought back to his mother and all of the colorful tattoos that she had created on herself over the course of her life. They were always so interesting. However, the boy learned that technique and continued to study the others, working on them all individually. This training was sure to put him over the other students at the academy. Roku was wearing himself out for the day but, there was only a few more techniques he needed to learn.

A few more techniques would be trained over the course of him studying and trying them out. Each of them had their own use that he was sure he would be able to use someday in the future when he was protecting his land. Roku seemed to be catching onto each of these techniques with relative ease. It was likely due to him having had watched his mother practice these techniques on occasion to keep herself from getting rusty. It was always funny to him when his mother and his father would spar, each of them using their Kekkai Genkai’s to their full potential. That thought pushed him forward to finish his training as he wanted to be just as impressive if not more impressive than his parents. Roku smiled as he finished off the last of the techniques and rolled the scroll back up.

Roku approached the academy with a little bit more confidence this time around since his training had prepared him further for the day. The boy entered the academy and went straight to the classroom that he had been assigned. It seemed some students were already there but, he took his same seat and waited for the others to arrive. After some time, all the students were there and shortly after the instructor came in, greeting everyone as he did so. The man stated that they were going to be going straight into training today since they had already gotten to know each other a bit. Roku was honestly perfectly fine with this as he had a passion to continue learning and expanding his knowledge. With that, the man started to write on the chalk board the list of techniques that were going to be learned today. The boy grinned softly as the clone jutsu was listed. Roku had already learned a Fuuton version of it so that was going to make it that much easier.

After everything was written on the board, the instructor began teaching the students the various techniques. Roku paid close attention to what the man was saying as he wanted to keep his edge that he had already obtained by training in his free time as much as he did. All the techniques that the instructor taught were the ones that were required to know before the students graduated. Roku followed what the teacher taught but, just like the day before he wasn’t the best student nor the worst. The only technique he really excelled at with no problem was the clone technique since he had already learned a version of that.

More time passed and most of the techniques the instructor intended to teach were completed by most of the students. The man had a good pace at teaching that Roku could appreciate. He wouldn’t let the students fall too far behind or get too far ahead of anyone. After teaching the last technique needed to learn to graduate, he listed some more E-Rank techniques that weren’t necessarily required to learn but, was offered as extra credit. Roku read over the list and decided it would be best to learn them. It wouldn’t hurt at all to do so. The boy would start learning the various techniques while the teacher helped the students with the previous set.

The boy passed the time quickly as he learned each technique relatively quickly. The first extra credit technique he decided to learn on was the shadowing technique so that he could hide from others. Once he had finished the technique, Roku decided to play a prank on the instructor by watching him with the technique active to see if he would eventually catch on. The technique in particular interested him since one day he wanted to become part of the Anbu black ops. Eventually the instructor noticed and laughed it off. Roku giggled to himself and went back to learning. With some time, Roku had finished half of the list that was put up.

Roku looked around a bit to see how the other students were doing. So far it seemed like he was starting to stray ahead of the pack which was a sort of confidence boost but, he decided to take a short break as he really didn’t want to be in the spot light either. After a short break, he went back to training. Occasionally Roku would go over to the instructor to get a little more advice so that he could continue learning the techniques as efficiently as possible. As he trained, Roku mostly kept to himself other than going to his teacher occasionally. The boy was really focused on learning this techniques to make sure he graduated on time because if he did, there was a good chance that his parents would just take him out of the academy on the spot and he’d lose his chance at being a shinobi. Even the thought of it shook him to his core. Roku shook his head softly and went back to training. Soon enough it was the end of the day and Roku had managed to learn all the techniques that were laid out for him.

The instructor began to close out the day, congratulating everyone on another successful day. There was no extra credit to be offered at the time since the students were learning everything as expected. Roku wanted to keep learning however so, after all of the students had left the classroom, he approached the man. The boy then proceeded to talk to the instructor about his Yozen heritage and how they were known for their ways with Fuinjutsu. After explaining all of that, he asked the man if he knew of any techniques that would be appropriate for him to learn so, he could continue to learn all that he could. The man walked over to the cabinet of scrolls and pulled out a few then handed them to the boy, telling him that he could use them to learn but, to return them once he was finished. Roku beamed with excitement as he was handed the scrolls. The instructor then also handed him a few other items that he would need to learn with the same caveat that he had to return them. It would be no problem at all. With everything he needed he went off to find a private spot to continue training.

Roku went out to the lake with the shaded tree that he had trained at before. The location had a sort of peacefulness to it that he appreciated. Once there, the boy sat under the tree and started to learn the Fuuinjutsu that the scrolls had listed out. There really wasn’t that many of them so it likely wouldn’t take him that much time to learn the ones that were there. Roku used an ink pen and paper to carefully practice drawing the seals as having them even slightly off would cause issues that were not intended. The first couple of techniques were simply sealing and unsealing an item out of a scroll. It was mostly useful for carrying more items without it weighing you down. Granted, Roku didn’t even need a scroll for this since he could use his body as a scroll with his Kekkai Genkai.

The shade on the tree extended as the sun moved position throughout Roku’s training. The boy noticed it was getting fairly late but, he decided to continue learning. As long as he wasn’t late for dinner his parents would be okay with it. Roku went back to studying with the same tenacity that he had shown throughout all of his trainings thus far. At this point, Roku was starting to feel that no matter what, he wasn’t going to fail the Graduation exam. However, he remained determined to complete all of the training he could so he wouldn’t even have the chance. A couple more techniques would be learned a little bit easier as he studied and practiced a lot. It would be about another hour before he learned the rest of the techniques that the instructor had given him. Roku sighed softly, ’What else is there to learn?’ The one thing he really wanted to do was unlock his Sharigan if he was able so he could be the youngest person in his family to do so. However, he knew how hard it can be and there’s a chance that he doesn’t even have the capability of using it which would be a really sad thing for him. However, at the moment he was tired so he decided it was best to leave his training as finished for the day and left.

Roku approached the academy as the eclipse took full effect. It was such a weird thing to see but, the boy wasn't too worried about it. If there were any issues there were plenty of shinobi around to deal with it... hopefully. However, the boy went to his classroom to find it completely empty. 'Hmm must have decided to take the day off because of the eclipse.' The boy sighed softly to himself and headed out to the pond that he often practiced at only to find a couple of people there and one person sitting in the middle of the pond. 'Maybe she's a teacher.' Roku thought to himself as he started to walk on the pond's surface over to the girl sitting on the water. Once he was about 10 feet away he would stop and announce himself. "Umm excuse me but, do you know where my sensei is? I was coming to see when the next genin exams would be, I think I'm ready for them but, I wanted to see how much more time I had to train." Roku would say, rather plainly.

Roku walked into the academy with a brisk pace. The boy still had to prove that he could become a shinobi. However, with the teachers not there for the moment, the boy needed to find his own ways of progressing. Since no one was currently in the academy, Roku figured that the best thing to do would be to clean the academy. Roku would walk over to a supply closet and get various cleaning supplies. Once he had these the boy went to his classroom and began cleaning the room. After some time, the boy had completely cleaned the room.

The boy proceeded to walk outside so that he could clean up the outside a bit as well. Roku walked over to the shed and pulled out a rake and some garbage bags. As soon as he had these items in hand, he would start to systematically rake up all the leaves. It would take some time to rake the leaves into large piles. However, once they had been put into piles, Roku would start to bag them up. The boy wiped his forehead of the sweat that was accumulating on his forehead from all the work he had been putting in. More time passed and all the leaves had been bagged up and thrown away.

Once all the leaves had been cleaned up, Roku decided that it was a good time to practice throwing projectiles. The boy walked over to a supply room and checked out a few senbon, kunai, and shuriken. After that, Roku would walk back outside and look for a target. The boy took out the senbon first then started to throw them, rather awkwardly. Each senbon landed pretty spread out from each other, showing the little practice that Roku had with them. Roku would walk forward and pull the senbon out of the tree stump that had been set up as a target and continue his practice. With each set, his accuracy would get slightly better.

After spending a solid hour of practicing senbon, Roku decided it was best to switch to one of the other projectiles. The boy pulled out a few kunai and began to start throwing them. The kunai felt a little easier to throw for him due to their weight. However, the boy still wasn’t able to throw them perfectly or even hit near each other. Roku wasn’t focused on hitting the bullseye but, more trying to have his kunai hit close to each other. Accuracy felt like the better thing to practice and that aim would need to be done later. With more practice, the kunai would land closer to each other. The boy’s accuracy was practically what you could expect from an academy student. The last weapon he had left were the shuriken.

Roku pulled the pouch of Shuriken out of his bag and began to pull a few of them out to practice with. Once the boy had a few of them out, he would begin to practice with them. The first few of them didn’t even manage to land on the target as they felt completely different to throw than the previous few weapons. Roku would sigh softly as he walked over to the target and began picking up the shuriken that he missed. The next few attempts would show minor improvements over time but, it would take Roku awhile to start hitting the target with any sort of consistency. Soon enough Roku was able to hit accurately however, his aim was still slightly off.

After training, Roku packed up the weapons he had been using. As he was doing so, he noticed a groundskeeper was mowing the large grass area where the students trained. It was refreshing to Roku to see someone else there, even during the eclipse. The boy walked over to the groundskeeper. “Excuse me sir, may I help you mow?” Roku asked the man. The man seemed happy to have some sort of help and showed Roku where he could get a push mower. Once Roku had the mower, they divided the lawn into two so they could both do half. With that, the boy started to push the mower along the lawn, leaving behind the cut-up grass.

The boy wiped some sweat from his forehead as he took a moment to catch his breath. “Time to clean up the grass!” The groundskeeper yelled out to Roku, coming back into view with some trash bags and a couple of rakes. Roku nodded softly and began helping the man rake up all the grass that they had just cut. Once all the grass had been cut up, the boy immediately began helping the man bag up the grass. It took some time but, the area definitely looked a lot neater now that the grass was cut. “Thanks for all of the help.” The man would say to Roku. Roku nodded back softly. “No problem.” The boy would say before leaving.

Asashi Shinzo

Location;; xxxx Company;; . xxxxx

Asashi looked up when Kujaku mentioned that she also had exams coming up. His face lit up even more when she said that they should go practice.
I really hope I don’t hold her back, he thought as he offered his hand.
“Yeah.” he said with an eager smile “yeah okay let’s go train.”
He thought about his cousins when she mentioned they were ninja
“Well they’re all from the Shinzo clan” he said “most of the members of our clan have gone into ninja work. My mom’s a retired nin. My mom’s a retired shinobi, my dad’s a medic nin. My brothers are both jounin although they live out on they’re own. They’re older than me.”
His smile faltered a bit as he got to talking about his cousins but he tried to keep an upbeat tone through it all.
“In my clan, everyone has animal characteristics” he said looking up at his ears “most common are Canines and felines and reptiles and avians” he said as he walked.
He knew the story of his clan backwards and forwards, it being expected of all children of his family to learn it prior to the academy.
“I get some slack over my form...nothing really says fighter about a rabbit yknow” he said managing to keep the smile on his face.

Finally they were getting to the lesson. Asashi sat down legs criss crossed applesauce and listened as Kujaku explained chakra control.
For any jutsu he needed chakra, yes he knew that. He nodded, still smiling as Kojaku went into explaining his expression, turning thoughtful as the older nin explained that every jutsu needed a different amount of chakra.
He frowned in confusion as she explained that the chakra you input in wasn’t quantifiable
“So you have to guess?” he said pouting slightly. That had a large margin for error after all.

He listened as Kujaku explained the Tree Climbing jutsu. So he had to focus his chakra into the soles of his feet?
“O..okay” he said after she was done with the explanation and that she wanted him to learn.
So all he had to do was chanel chakra to his feet...and then walk up the tree.
                                Okay.
That is not how gravity works.

Asashi stood at the base of the tree, kunai in hand and went over the instructions. Focus chakra on your feet and run up.
Focus chakra on both feet and run up.
Focus chakra on both feet and...run up.
                                Right.
Taking a breath, the genin focused on their chakra, directing it to the soles of his feet as he had been taught. He took off at a run, hesitating only once before taking his first step up the tree.
Apparently that hesitation was all it took. Asashi felt his foot stick for all of two seconds before he felt it flicker out and fell on the ground with a grunt.

Right then, that was too little.

The boy picked himself up, a determined look on his face and took off again. This time he made sure not to hesitate and steeled himself to go up the tree.
And was pushed off by the chakra on his feet.

The third time proved to be the charm as Asashi ran at the tree and managed one step then a second and a third. A grin broke across his face as he kept going, almost tripping over one of the branches before his fingers graced the kunai.
He didn’t get it, losing traction and having to land back on the ground but the fact that he had made it to the kunai made him bold.
On his second run up Asashi had the kunai. And after a few more to practice he was making his way back to Kujaku, kunai back in hand.
“Kujaku look!” he said grining and holding up the kunai.
                                .

      tab
tab Deep breaths now. Chloe pushed the doors of the academy expecting to find the room filled to the brim hundreds of little genin all running around, their teachers trying desperately to corral them back into their study rooms. Instead, she found a half-asleep librarian lazily reading a book at the front desk. His hlf hearted hand way and complete lack of any traditional greeting left Chloe wondering if it was even really okay for her to just start roaming around. Heh, enough to make you feel at home huh? She thought dryly, although perhaps that was too harsh. If she were in the same position she wasn't sure that she could muster up any better enthusiasm. Still, wasn't it a teacher's job to get kids excited to learn? Or... whatever.

Taking up a leisurely stroll through the halls, Chloe ran a finger along seemingly endless shelves of dusty scrolls. Cacusally flicking the ones that took up her interest out and onto the floor. A game she liked to play with herself whenever she felt bored or anxious, catch the falling thing! She was certain the act would have been enough to wake up that librarian with a heart attack, that might give him a change from his little peaceful life. And change was good yeah? It's what keeps you oooon... your... toes! Chloe hopped in time with what would have been more than just a mental exclamation if she had anybody to party with. Oh well, maybe she could find somebody cool to spend time with here? In the meantime, she was going to get some training done.

Ignition/Senju :

”One step, two step, three step, four.. then spin and turn and dance sum-more, think upright might be too uptight, so check me step up, get down, what the Fuh!, mah skills erupt, maybe to abrupt?!”The academy student rapped the all, straight face and dancing in front of the whole class, a boombox playing quite upbeat, lyricless tunes as Sonyo finished of performing the windmill and spun to a halt, looking smug and proud before standing up and turning her boombox off and turning to see when the teacher had to say. The classroom gave her a small round of astonished applause, the teacher staring at her nigh aghast with the emotional effects the little display had wrought them with. Clearing his throat a little longer than necessary as to maintain their composure before speaking directly and giving their honest opinion ”Sonyo, the display you gave was interesting and unique I can tel you practiced and out a lot of effort into it.... Just please explain to me how this constitutes your in class report on the fundamentals of chakra and how to use it....? You get an E+, go and practice using your chakra and I want a full verbal report by tomorrow and we can revise this, understood?” Sonyo looked genuinely baffled by her teachers words, preparing to explain how this translated over to the teachers topic by attempted to simply repeat her report, the teach whacked her with a ginger karate chop to the break of her hat, knocking it into her face and causing a verbal “Nyah!”Escape from her mouth as she fumbled to fixing her hat and grinning, giving the teacher a huge thumbs up to confirm she understood and skipping off... not realizing the teacher meant she was to leave and practice after class... but the simply sighed and decided to let it go for today.

What was that phrase again? "The early bird gets the worm", or something like that. What Tanaka considered to be 'on time' for her first day of class was different for the Shinobi of this village. Back at her home she was raised to be punctual... even if that meant arriving to places early, which she had done in this case. On her hip was a wooden bokken gifted to her by her father - she wasn't allowed to carry a real sword until graduation, despite having some basic skill for wielding one. Despite showing up to the classroom ahead of time, Takara was insistent on making use of this chance to get ahead. Which generally consisted of spamming missions and learning techniques on one's own - though that may just be a Shinobi thing. They sure did seem to progress quickly. Yet Tanaka's father had already warned her that Honor was not a crucial part of the Shinobi code.

Instead she entered the dark classroom, taking a seated position on the floor next to a bookshelf. It was positioned under the window, allowing the natural lighting of the raising sun to shine through, bringing a warm feeling to the exposed skin of Takara's arm, as well as better vision of the books on the shelf before her. There's so many books here! Where should I start? The young Samurai was far from a bookworm, preferring to learn kinesthetically. It would have to do for now while being in a completely new environment. Her eyes scanned over the titles of the books: The Five Chakra Elements, Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu... she continued on, wanting to get a look at all of the titles before making her selection. "Hm?" A book that revealed its age through the slightly worn spine caught her attention. Ninshu. Ninshu? It sounded a lot like Ninjutsu, shortened. Tanaka carefully removed the book from the shelf and dusted it off, glancing at the cover once more before opening the first page, sinking in. If a book was this old-looking and dusty, there was no way it was something taught in class right?

After a bit of practicing on her own, Takara placed the scrolls away and left the classroom. She found it strange that there were no teachers or other students around, especially since today was the supposed to be the first day for her class. Maybe I got the date wrong... She was so excited about starting, that it could have been a possibility. Or, perhaps it was tradition for shinobi students to learn autonomously, and Takara was just out of the loop in regards to whatever ninja tactics they were using to graduate without guidance from a teacher or structured training regime. The ninjutsu she did learn was solely to sate her curiosity, but reading from books and weaving intricate hand seals just wasn't her thing. She preferred using her sword, which required a different kind of training. Takara reminisced to the days where she mimicked her father's sword kata as he trained, and days he'd practice with her on wielding a katana correctly.

Her dearest memories were soon interrupted by a mighty roar - one that was clearly somewhere far from her, but loud enough that it sounded close. The roar itself brought an odd feeling to the young Samurai that wasn't fear, along with a dull pain in her temples that caused her to clutch her head and fall to her knees. Takara didn't understand what this feeling was, but it alone was starting to make her scared. She felt like she understood what the roar meant, and a small part of her was compelled to comply. With her eyes shut tight, a glimpse of some of the nightmares she had been having since after being rescued from an abduction back in the Land of Iron came back to her in static-like visions. The inside of a dimly lit cave. Flashes of tree branches and leaves being ran through. The cold stare of gold, piercing eyes. Upon the last vision she let out a scream, falling silent as did the world around her once the roaring ended. The pain in her temples did as well, yet her heart beating rapidly flooded her ears as she opened her eyes and looked around.

The mighty roar and Takara’s scream both fading like an echo for a noisy scratching sound to bounce back their place. The scratch was repetitive, slowing occasionally, and seem to end on a sweeping sound like many tiny sticks were rapidly lifting and settling at their own pace. Worst of all the sound was out of sight and it whisked closer without any rhythmic pattern of footsteps to echo through the floorboards.

Lots of whisking. Lots of scratching vibrating in the floorboards gradually becoming louder until stopping suddenly. Takara might have had enough time to catch sight of the whisking noisemaker. Honestly, the whisking terror, as it was, wanted to see.
A broom. Poleside up with its familiar head full of straw pressed against the floor but not a soul to be seen holding it up. The broom stood static and stiff like it was caught red-handed sweeping on its own accord. But the scared-stiff act didn’t last. The bristles shiver and spread just so to reveal a pair of white eyes now focusing on Takara.

The straw bristles shiver again and bound bundles spread from the broom’s head and a dust plume of feathers pop from its pole. It shivers a third time to playfully flip and flop a long tongue from the abyss-like space where its uncanny eyes were popping out from.

In a fourth shiver, the broom quickly sweeping up the dust beneath its head before heaving itself in a noisy skitter toward Takara. The Hahakigami was all about cleaning and it was ready to sweep the academy’s guest right out of the dojo. A dust pile forming along in its rapid wake was leaving a haphazard trail. “Sweep! Sweep! Sweep!” It sang, first quickly sweeping the dust pile past Takara’s foot and onward to the other side of the room, whereupon the broom bounced, spun, and again faced Takara: “Shoo! Shoo! Shooo!” The broom bounced about with its shoo-ing chant before sweeping the dust pile into Takara’s direction in one, grand sweep!

Just when Takara's heartbeat started to settle, it was ramped back up again by the sudden sound of light scratching, slowly increasing in volume as if it were approaching her. The roar and the vision had already spooked her out of whatever logical sense she could make out of anything following afterwards, immediately assuming the worse. "L-leave me alone!" Her body whipped around to face the opposite direction, both hands gripped on her bokken as she curled her body behind it, visibly shaking. The brave front that she put up was in hopes to scare who, or what ever was drawing near, and to stay true to the tenets of Bushido she was raised under.

Teary eyes glanced ahead behind the wooden weapon gripped firmly in her palms to see not a monster, but a broom. A tool used for cleaning, that was suspiciously standing upright without anyone holding on to it. Takara refused to let her guard down, and it was a good thing that she didn't, because it was dropped anyway when the broom revealed its eyes to her. Her bokken fell to the ground in a state of shock, fear, and confusion, clumsily stumbling backwards onto her feet while the broom shivered, releasing dust and a long floppy tongue. She was certain that this broom was some kind of monster, now. As it continued to approach her, chanting, Takara ended up falling again, screaming. Dust clouded her, and the broom swept past her, only to face her again.

The broom started a new chant, one the frightened little samurai would comply to, immediately turning to run out of the Academy. She didn't notice the dust pile behind her, but the lack of weight on her hip was a grave reminder of what was left behind. Skidding to a halt, Takara turned to face the broom and the treasured bokken that stood off to its left about five feet away. The broom terrified her. Not getting her bokken back terrified her even more. It was the only momento of her father that she had, and she didn't plan on losing it. Making a mad dash into the scattered dust cloud for the wooden weapon, tears flew from her face as the dust hampered her sight enough to lose track of the bokken's location. She continued for its general direction regardless, hoping to reach it and get away from the broom monster.

tab Moriyama had been so excited to get to the academy that day, ready to show off his glorified paddle wicked new broadsword he'd made. Granted it was made of wood and his dad had made sure he dulled the edges so that Moriyama couldn't do any serious harm to anyone (including himself) but he was still proud of it. He had even given it a super cool paint job. However, upon arriving at the academy, Moriyama found that the place seemed to be quite deserted. "Huh? Where is everyone?" he wondered aloud.

tab It was then that Moriyama heard a scream coming from within the academy. "What was that?" he said, his voice now more concerned. He then caught a glimpse of a girl at the entrance of the building, lingering for a brief moment before rushing back inside. "Come on, Thwack. Let's get to the bottom of this." he said, looking down at his practice sword with a nod before heading off towards the building, not knowing the bizarre sight that awaited him within.

tab Bursting in through the doors, Moriyama was prepared to face off against some sort of intruder or perhaps a wild animal that had broken into the school. Instead, what he found was ......... a broom? He was stunned, not from fear but from disbelief. How in the world had a broom come to life and why was it attacking the school? These questions would have to wait though. Seeing the girl from earlier making a mad dash in what he thought was the broom’s direction, Moriyama followed suit, yelling as he raised his sword above his head and charged the creature to give it a might Thwacking.
