Because people dont want to watch "porn" they want to watch "hentai".

LOL that could be another reason!

The only kind of 'Real boy slash' that bothers me is pairing two not-gay real life people. I'm fine if it's pairing two characters, but deciding two real people should be together seems a little creepy to me.

I don't like real person fan pairings, slash or hetro. It's one thing if it involves celebrities that are known to have a sense of humor and get a laugh out of this sort of thing... but others are known to be touchy to the extent of feeling threatened by fan sites posting normal pictures, let alone fans trying to pair them up with someone they'd never involve themselves with.

I think that the reason some yaoi fangirls don't like RPS is because it's real. With yaoi couples, no mater how well the characters are writen(personlity, ext.) It's always in the back of the mind that their not real. It's like the diffrence between, for example, thinking about sky diving and doing it. Reality and fantasy are diffrent and people tend to act diffrently depending on which it is. And I'd like to point out that I don't care if a person is gay/straight/bi or whatever. If I dislike a person it's on their personality not which gender their attracted to.

Real Person Slash definition #1: "Slashing" two real people (actors, musicians, etc) who are not really in a relationship:

I don't do this. Frankly just because I wouldn't want to be in their position, and it could arouse hard feelings, you know the drill.

Definition #2: Just real human beings in general, not animation.

For example, in movies and television in the like -- I'd prefer that over anime/manga anyday :]
When it's really being acted, it's so much more intense and believable. I've actually found that I can't take much anime seriously anymore, if the animation or art style is too off-the-wall. o__o (but that could just be me being picky)
I'm not only into shounen-ai for eyecandy; I love the emotional and believable aspects of it.
So real-life relationships are lovely. heart

I don't really understand it either, and I too, find it to be extremely hypocritical. Without the real boys, there wouldn't even be yaoi or hentai, ridiculous.

I personally prefer real boy slash over yaoi, because I prefer my smex to be more realistic... But I only like original boys to be doing the smexing, I find it weird if two celebrities that are probably completely straight just start getting it on. Again, with it being realistic...

Real boys, please.

Agreed! I slash SOAD and Green Day, for goodness sake! I can slash ANYTHING! Even people from school. I used to do that, lol. So fun... I should've written stories and left them randomly somewhere so people could find them. That would've been hilarious!

You know what,

on this particular subject, I'm just as lost as you.

My ex-g said that real boys kissing is gross but she draws them like anime form all the time.

I guess it's because they like the idea of boys kissing and when it's visually pleasing in a two-dimensional form then... i guess it's nice.

But in real life, i guess it's gross cuz it's not an idea anymore.

it's real.

GODFORBID ITS REAL NO PLEASE gonk

Either way works for me. Hot guys are hot guys, animated or in real life.

I have tons of gay friends, but I don't want to see them make-out, because frankly I think it’s an invasion of privacy...and I just don't see my friends that way...

As for strangers, I think it's cute. Like at AnimeExpo, two boys were kissing and I thought it was cute, but when my friend told me to take a picture of them, I was like, no, because it's an invasion of privacy.

Honestly, I don't like real life porn or the sort, because I feel weird looking at real people getting it on. I don't mind kissing (I think it's romantic) but anything else...it gets too intimate for me...

With fantasy characters though, I feel less guilty, because I know they are fake...It's hard to explain...

Also, saying that because someone likes anime/manga slash and not real person slash is hypocritical is a bit black and white, don't you think? People have preferences and have reasons to like something over another; it doesn't make them hypocritical. For someone to be hypocritical they would have to say something but mean the other. For example, if someone likes real life boyxboy in privacy but then condones it in public then that's hypocrisy.

Depends, on both!

I have to get to know the character, that's the thing about BL.

L.A., uhhhh.... I don't know what their personalities are like..

So what's there to expect?

*shrugs* i think real person slash is alright: AS LONG AS THERES BASIS FOR IT. If someone's just pulling out people to slash outta their asses, then its A) retarded and B) nasty, and frankly disconcerting to those people being slashed---
But I've seen many a demented fangirl just go and slash people D8, its...so nasty.... talk2hand

Well, as long as they look good with each other, I don't mind if it's anime or real guys. XD
