[babbling]I never saw any of that because when I first heard about it was on FanFiction.Net. I was going through the "Just In" section for Shaman King and I come across a fanfiction with a summary that has the words "horoxren" in it and I freaked out. Eventually, I became too scarred by all the "haoxyoh" and "horoxren" and the like to really care (except for when it involved Faust-kun. stressed ) The first time I actaully "saw" it was when I bought the Loveless manga and by that time, it had all died.[/babbling]

It all started with my friends talking about it. They were laughing about the Harry/Draco pairing and I was just a little creaped out. But then they made me watch Yami no Matsuei and I thought to myself how cute Hisoka/Tsuzuki would be and after that I read Gravitation and it was all over for me ^^

I guess so? Then again, I was somewhere around the age of 12 when I first read my first shouen-ai fic (the JUICY stuff didn't come til later wink ) and was basically hateful towards all kissing even with straight people. And now?

iwanttobeasleep Did gay guys kissing and doing. . .other things. . .creep you out, even a little? I know it did for me, but I got used to it and now, here I am. I'm curious, because I am off the opinion that the reason most women aren't into yaoi/BL is because it's strange to them and thus creepy the first time around, and gets avoided after that. it did for me. the most i could handle at the start were simple words, then hugs. somehow ornother, when reading a kurofai fic they kissed for soem reason. i used to skim over those parts, but then my mind wanted to make a scene like that, and somehow i was able to read kissing and fluffy moments. then full on descriptive kissing. then i read this rfic "do you love" which was a non descrepit yaoi fic, then i found a real yaoi fic and read that. now i read every type of yoai fic (for kuro-fai only right now) i used to care if the writer made fai seme, but now i read every type, whether its fai, or kuro being sems or anything ^_^

Actually I felt guilty because I wasn't tweaked out. I loved it but it took me a while to be able to look the clerk in the eye when I bought them.

Yes. Very very much so. Like, it took a few weeks of reading for me to get entirely used to the idea. It was very awkward at first.
I was for the most part wishing the writers would make the boys act... well, more boy-like. And I love it to death when writers do succeed in making the boys act like boys act, just as much as I love it when they're very sweet to eachother. The latter just took longer to adjust to.

I've always been open minded but when i first saw a pic of two guys kissing (I must have been like 13 at the time) I was like...OMG WTF ( not that anyone used OMG or WTF at the time) guys kissing...thats so....I don't know what the hell to think...
then after I saw a few more pics (and I never looked for them, they were just on fansites and stuff.) I started to think...hey...thats kind of ...cute.
Then I remember my first yaoi doujinshi I ever saw. It was ff7 CloudXSephiroth...and by the way I had no idea how two men had sex so when I saw it I was like eek eek eek I didn't know two men could even do thing like that eek eek eek and it really freaked me out....but after I got older its like...hmmm two guys having graphic gay sex...meh so what?

I used to be totally against yaoi. I thought it was godawful. I didn't understand why anyone would do that to the characters.
Then my friend started getting into it, and I saw Utena, then it all just kinda spiraled down from there.
My reactions went from "nasty" to "meh, whatever strange ones" to "yaoi is my GOD. Now make with the mansex!".

It used to creep me out when I was a kid, until high school, where it turned out about one in every three people who went to my school ended up being homosexual. I don't know why or how this happened, but I'm used to it now, and yaoi doesn't really bother me that much.
