SLEEP NOW IN THE FIRE YEAAAH!
The world is my expense The cost of my desire Jesus blessed me with its future And I protect it with fire So raise your fists and march around Dont dare take what you need I'll jail and bury those committed And smother the rest in greed Crawl with me into tomorrow Or i'll drag you to your grave I'm deep inside your children They'll betray you in my name
Hey! Hey! Sleep now in the fire
Hey! Hey! Sleep now in the fire
The lie is my expense The scope with my desire The party blessed me with its future And i protect it with fire I am the nina, the pinta, the santa maria The noose and the rapist, the fields overseer The agents of orange The priests of hiroshima The cost of my desire Sleep now in the fire
Hey! Hey! Sleep now in the fire
Hey! Hey! Sleep now in the fire
For it's the end of history It's caged and frozen still There is no other pill to take So swallow the one That makes you ill The nina, the pinta, the santa maria The noose and the rapist, the fields' overseer The agents of orange The priests of hiroshima The cost of my desire Sleep now in the fire
YEAAAH!
Sleep now in the fire! Sleep now in the fire! Sleep now in the fire! Sleep now in the fire!
yes rage against the machine

You wouldn't get "it" if it came in a bag marked "IT".

Apple Jacks, dangit! Know what makes me feel old? I was playing trivial pursuit with my cousins (aged 20, 15, and 11), when a card came up that mentioned Tang. Y'all remember that, don'tcha? Yeah, cause: the middle cousin said, "What's Tang?" eek neutral eek neutral eek Another instance: I went back to the library five years after my card expired, to get it renewed. It wasn't in their computer system yet. Third time's the charm: Talking in a chatroom, someone mentioned how the rapper/singer Eminem sampled Aerosmith's "Dream On". (Another) 15-yr-old asks, "Who's Aerosmith?" ::facedesk:: stare

Being Chaos Incarnate, this is the perfect thread for me.
I miss the days of Saturday morning cartoons. They showed them up until sa couple of years ago, but now it's all that teach-you-crap stuff. I mean, yay, little kids are being taught stuff, but where does that leave me? Unamused by the pretty pictures, that's where.
I happened upon a good (relatively-speaking, mind you) Saturday morning cartoon a few years back. It was the anime version of Tokyo Mew Mew. I saw one episode, and then set my alarm to go off in time for me to watch it the next week. A week later, alarm goes off, I turn to the channel... and it's been replaced! Damn you, tv execs!
It was only years later that I found out it was a good thing. They completely butchered it when they dubbed it, Americanizing EVERYTHING. It was ruined.
Okay, now I really feel like a geezer. Rambling on about something no one cares about. Woohoo!

Okay, now I really feel like a geezer. Rambling on about something no one cares about. Woohoo! actually... I had aht same problem a few years back. my friend and I used to get up bright and early to watch sailor moon at 5am. then it was replaced with rocky and Bullwinkle. A few years later I found a cute show on around 7am, Tama and friends. Too bad it left the air a few weeks after. Also when I was really little, I found a show called free willy the cartoon. I watched it and set my alarm to watch that and everything else. 3 eps after I had watched it it left forever. So I feel your pain. I am at the point where I would rather A. Sleep or B. go to work on a Saturday morning and hear people b***h about whatever.
