Day 76: Saturday, September 25, 2010

Today's intake:

•1 scrambled egg with white diced onions, broccoli, spinach, sliced black olives
•1 small pita
•8 small green manzanilla olives stuffed with pimiento
•1 glass of orange juice (about 16 oz or so)
•1 garden burger made with a garden patty, light mozzarella cheese, black olives, and a grilled slice of white onion on a wheat bun
•4 saltine crackers
•8 salted crunchy pretzs
•large salad with ranch dressing

Congrats on your progress, and I hope you feel better soon! Dehydration can definitely cause dizziness and nausea (learned this from experience), so extra water or green tea never hurts.

Thank you. On top of that, I'm also sick with allergies or a cold/flu. I gotta buy some cold and flu medication today because these allergy pills aren't doing the trick.

Day 77: Sunday, September 26, 2010

Today's intake:

•2 bowls of white rice
•grilled cheese sandwich (wheat bagel, mozzarella cheese, olives and diced white onions)
•snack pack of pudding
•1 and a half tortilla with 12 manzanilla olives and cream cheese
•1 oats n honey granola bar

Just a rant:
I hate being sick.

Allergies all by themselves can cause dizziness and just make you generally feel like crap. I've had allergy attacks in the past that laid me out as hard as the flu does. Hope you feel better soon.

Something you can try for the shin splints is to do toe taps. Shin splints happen because the muscles which run over the front of your tibia are weak. Tapping your feet helps strengthen those muscles and leads to less pain over time. Just do them whenever you're sitting around. Fifty on one foot, fifty on the other. It should help.

Rant

I've had a soar throat all day and I can feel a cough coming along.

Today's weather HAS SUCKED. At 7am this morning, it was already 80 degrees!! And I think it reached 90 in the afternoon. I didn't even get to go to the beach because of my cold and school. It NEVER gets this hot around here. Hot for us is 75 degrees.......today and yesterday were heat waves. I live right on the coast of SoCal and we didn't even have the merciful cool ocean sea breeze to make the heat tolerable......it was just heat and hot wind, no clouds, and the sun beating down on everybody. I hated it because I couldn't even go to the beach. If not for my sickness, I would have easily ditched school and gone boogie boarding. Oh well....


Just wanted to complain I guess.

Day 78: Monday, September 27, 2010

Today's intake:

•green tea with 1 tsp of sugar free Irish cream syrup (sweetened with splenda)
•grilled cheese sandwich made with a wheat bagel, mozzarella cheese, olives and white onions
•1 banana
•one deviled egg sandwich on wheat bread and light mayo
•1 lean breaded fish filet
•steamed veggies
•bowl of white rice
•garden burger made with a wheat bun, mozzarella cheese, olives, lettuce, and a garden patty
•a fudgecicle. 


Today's outtake:

•walked 1 mile in 20 minutes in PE class.

Day 79: Tuesday, September 28, 2010

Today's intake:

•2 bowls of white rice
•1 scrambled egg with spinach, diced white onions, broccoli, and sliced black olives. 
•1 tortilla 
•about 1 or 2 tbsp of guacamole dip
•grilled cheese sandwich with a wheat bagel and mozzarella cheese
•1 chicken thigh, boiled. 
•lots of water through out the day

I'm proud of myself, for the past few days, I've been drinking tons of water. 

Just a rant:
Now that I'm finally over this sickness, I'm gonna start running again. I want to attempt week 4 of C25K but I have to really push myself so I don't fail horribly again. If I need to, I'll repeat week 3, but i want to give week 4 another chance. 

I'm also happy to say that I've lost another pound which means I have lost a total of 15 pounds in the last 2  months or so. WOO-HOO!! This is the most weight I have ever lost. In the past, I would quit after the first few weeks. I'm not quitting this time. I'm going to keep going until I get down to 130 pounds.

Day 80: Wednesday, September 29, 2010

Today's intake:

•1 scrambled egg with spinach and olives
•small portion of rice
•half veggie sandwich (3 inch) with no mayo, no sauce, and no dressing. 
•large salad with ranch

Today's outtake:

•sped walked 1.75 miles in 30 mins (got my heart-rate up to 150! YES!)

Day 81: Thursday, September 30, 2010

Today's intake:

•green tea with one tsp of sugar free Irish cream syrup
•grilled cheese sandwich made on a wheat French roll (6 inch), mozzarella cheese, and olives
•bowl of rice
•crunchy saltine pretzels
•some soy nuts ad cashews (sm. portion)
•1 scrambled with a garden patty
•2 small lean boneless skinless chicken breasts (they were the smallest ones in the bag and they shrank even more after I boiled them so it made a good 1 serving portion)
•1 pita with hummus. 

Today's outtake:

•attempted week 4 day 1 (again, no win but I got my heart rate up to 150 so at least it's still a good workout, my target heart rate is 170)

Day 82: Friday, October 1, 2010

Today's intake:

•1 grilled cheese sandwich with wheat French roll bread, mozzarella, and olives (6 inch)
•3 slices of veggie pizza with Dijon sauce (1 of the slices was small)
•1 piece of garlic bread
•handful of different nuts (almonds, cashews, soy nuts)
•large spinach salad with a vinaigrette dressing   

Today's outtake:

•walked 1 mile in 20 minutes

Just a rant:
The pizza was probably a bad idea, but I didn't over eat or feel stuffed. So I'm proud of myself.

End of week 12

From the end of week 11 till now, I lost 1.5 lbs which puts me at 182, now I just have to exercise more often so I can lose 2 pounds per week. I actually want to lose 3 pounds this week because on October 8th, it's my 1 year anniversary with Matthew and I want to be out of the 180's. I'm shooting for 179. so I want to start walking and running everyday until Friday. I want to get at least 3 miles on the walking days and on the running days, repeat week 3 or something.

•2 slices of left over vegetarian pizza with Dijon sauce
•lots of sushi
•white rice
•2 tortilla
•7 pieces of raw smoked salmon
•1 baked potato (plain)

•1 crab cake patty with a wheat 3 inch French roll with a slice of onion  and mozzarella cheese
•hand full of pistachios
•1 jollyranch chewy candy
•bowl of rice
•small slice of left over pizza

Today's intake:

•1 over easy egg with a slice of onion, mozzarella cheese, 3 inch wheat French roll
•snacking on flavored assorted nuts all day (addicting) 
•1 lean breaded fish filet
•bowl of rice
•bowl of honey nut cheerios with fat free milk
•1 banana


Just a rant:
I got my period last night so now I'm all bloated and blegh. My appetite is all over the place too so that sucks. On to top it off I feel like I'm gaining weight and I'm super stressed cuz I'm applying for universities and it's been raining so I can't exercise outside and yea...sometimes, life really sucks.
