The cat was licking the soup bowl and when Gabriella turned her gaze onto her, she looked up adorably, knowing she'd been caught red handed.
Daryn finally found his duffel bag and threw on his pants and shirt before looking back at Princess.
"I won't, I'll be fine."
He said before noticing she was acting odd.
"Uh, you ok? What's wrong?"
He sat down on the bed beside her again, moving both Melody and the tray to the ground before leaning towards Gabriella, wondering why she'd gotten so quiet.

Gabe had chuckled and roughled the kittens hair when she caught her. Smiling, she stopped as she watched Daryn take her away. She pouted a little but when Daryn leaned over it was a different story.
Just looking at him in the candle light drove her hormones in a knot. She blushed and looked away then to him again. "nothing..." she was acting like a teen all over again. 'god I'm so stupid!' she couldn't believe she was thinking like this again. She couldn't help it. It was the way he looked at her.

"Princess, you know I can always tell when you lie."
He forced the little smile that wanted to emerge on his face when she blushed. He knew he shouldn't have, but he leaned over and kissed her cheek as softly as if he had brushed a feather over it.
Then he pulled away and sat cross legged with his back to her.
"Sorry."
He coughed a bit.

Gabe didn't mind it. She really didn't. Plus she almost forgot she was engaged to a monster. Sitting there for a few seconds she sat up on her knees and wrapped her arms around his neck loosley and layed her head on his shoulder.
"It's okay.." she said softly. She missed it when they were younger, how they were attactched at the hips. ALL of it. She kissed his cheek gently like he had hers. "can i lay here with you tongiht?" she meant it in her innocence.

Daryn blushed slightly and mentally berated himself.
'You're not seventeen anymore Daryn, get ahold of yourself.'
He turned to look at her.
"Sure. That... sounds ok."
He again berated himself. He sounded like a moron and he blushed even more.
Melody twitched her tail and jumped back onto the bed, finding a suitable spot, curling up and going to sleep.

It was Gabes turn to smile. She smiled and blushed a little herself. She kissed his cheek again and carefully removed her arms from around him and backed away, getting off the bed making sure she didn't disturb Melody. "I think Melodys going to sleep here too" she chuckled "I'm going to go change for bed. I'm beat" She made her way to her room, bumping into things in the dark and squeeling at the littlest thing.
After a few minites she came back in her tanktop and pjs shorts with her hair down. [see picture] She made her way over and crawled back to the bed. But she sat up, holding a handlefool of fishygold crackers. She nibbled on them silently, chuckling to herself.

While Gabe had been getting ready for bed, he managed to find a few more candles, mindful of his foot, and a light. When she came back they lit the room a little, giving it a warm, yet mysterious glow. Daryn was sitting on the bed wearing his t-shirt and boxers.
She had seen him like this millions of times so he was fine. He was sitting on the bed petting Melody who he'd moved into the headboard cubby, a blanket underneath her as she slept.
"She can sleep in there and we won't bother her when we roll over."
He said and when she sat with the crackers, he peeked into her hand expectantly, then sidled up beside her.
"We share right?"
He gave her his best puppy eyes.

Gabe snickered and made it look like she wasn't going to share. But the puppy eyes always got to her and she opened her hand and held it to him. She was just in her playful mood as always. The candle light made her hair look like it was on fire. Thats what she had been giggling at earlier.
She glanced over at the sleeping Melody and chuckled. She was so cute. "She remind me of Lex" Lex was a stray dog they had sheltered when they were younger.

Taking a few of the crackers, he watched as her hair seemed to be burning gently in the light. As he munched on his snack, he looked over at Melody and thought on her comment.
"She kinda does. They're both black and white, though Lex was definitely a lot bigger than Melody."
He laughed lightly and tipped the rest of the crackers into his mouth.
"We used to eat these all the time. It's been ages since I've had them."
He said in a muffled manner as he talked around the crackers.

Gabe laughed gently, careful not to choke. "Yeah. There my favorite. " She smiled and tipped the rest into her mouth and listened to herself eat them. She rubbed her tummy and sighed. "Just more calories to burn" she sighed, then looked over to him.
Gabe watched him . She leanned back against her side of the head board and relaxed. His eyes were always mysterious. Always hiding something. She thought she knew what was behind there once. But she had been wrong.

Daryn was giving her a look at the calories comment. Brushing his hands off, he crawled towards her. His eyes seemed dangerous and almost icy as he moved towards her and before she could move, he placed his hands on either side of her against the headboard.
"You do not need to burn calories. You're perfect just the way you are."
His tone was serious and his expression was intense as he stared directly at her.

Gabe blushed madley, he was really close. She wanted to talk but she got confused on how serious he was. "B-but I need to" Her heart was racing. Stop acting like a sixteen yearold! She took a deep breath.
Gabe could remember the last time he did something virtually close to this. they were out in the water and he was telling her there were sharks in the lake and he was going to kiss her..when his dad called for them. Out of habit she put her hand on her chest over her heart. She didn't want him to hear how fast he had her heart running.

Daryn held his position, inwardly laughing at her a little bit.
"No, Gabriella. You don't need to. If you lose anymore weight, you'll be skin and bones."
He leaned a tiny bit closer. He had been laughing, but his hormones kicked up and he realized maybe getting so close was a bad idea, but being a daredevil, he didn't back off until she gave him the answer he wanted.

"Not true.." she muttered. She could be stubborn when she wanted. She was forcing herself to stay serious, her blush fading. But her heart stayed at the pace he kept pushing. She stood...well sat her ground.
She inhaled through her nose...a bad idea. Why did he have to smell good too?! She started to mentally pout but she wasn't going to let him win this one. Thats when she realised her ring was still in her bag.

Daryn thought he could feel her resolve starting to fail her and he just continued to glare before he realized something. Was it her that smelled like strawberries?! It must have been her shampoo or something and he had to force himself not to gulp.
"It is true..."
He half whispered.
