It was about half a year ago when I first heard of My Chemical Romance. They were on Steven's Untitled Rock Show's Taste of Chaos special, and since I had about 2 weeks off from school due to spring break, there wasn't anything else to do but watch it. But after about 2 days, there wasn't anything else I wanted to do but watch it. Gerard and Bert were reading their fanmail in a little room with black walls (but they still wouldn't take off their sunglasses), and after a week, I could recite the whole thing with them. I bought both of their cds as soon as I could, and have been obsessed ever since.

I only found about them this year...I saw the I'm Not Okay (I Promise) video on MTV and I went "OMFG this is so awesome" and it turned out this girl at my school knew about them too and we got talking. So eventually I went to the site a month after hearing about them, and saw the Helena clip for the first time. Then I decided to make them my second fave band (in between Green Day and Evanescence). Then I got their album after going to three CD stores and having it sold out at two of them...I listened to it and it was the best album I'd ever listened to...(The Ghost of You makes me cry) So I decided that they were awesome enough to be my fave band!! I love them! Especially Gerard...he is the shmex. My friend is gonna burn their first album for me cause I can't buy it anywhere in Australia.

I got the Nintendo Fusion Tour Sampler in November 2004, and heard "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" ... since then I've collected nearly every song they've recorded ... including their jack the ripper cover, all I want for christmas is you, astro zombies cover, and more. I feel like an original fan, being as nobody else I know has that CD or had a clue who they were before MTV (gotta hate it) played them.

theres a friend and she also goes to Gaia..and she told me everything about them, showed me their site and stuff..and now i love them, forever heart

I was watching music videos one morning on Video wake-up and I say the music video "Helena." So for the rest of the day...I sang that song in my head. Finally I get home and look on the internet and find their website. So I end up watching the three music videos they give and read the little medical history on all of them and I thought they were pretty kool. Now I have their cd "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" biggrin

Well, one of the girls that was trying out for our Dance Team officers with me was dancing to Helena. I remeber when i first heard it i hated it. Then I heard it again over the summer and was like, where have i heard this before? so i did some reasecrch, listened to their songs (Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge only tho... crying ) and now im in love!!!

my friend asked me to look online for one of their cd's. while listening to the copy i made for him to make sure i downloaded it right, i fell in love right there heart

I saw the music video for "I'm Not Okay", and I loved the song. And Gerard! whee
I waited a while before I bought "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" for some reason, though. I have no idea why.
I'm actually listening to it now. And I still love Gerard. heart

i found out about mcr when i took this quiz on aol about which artist you were most like. i ended up just like mcr so i decided to see what type of music they played. biggrin biggrin biggrin

My friend Vicky was singing I"m not okay while drunk lol. later on she told me my hair looked like Gerard's and lent me her copy. I've ben hooked ever since.
